This store has no respect for its employees and the manager Tony is unpleasant and rude. I will not be coming back.

I'm pleasantly surprised to find that many of the items are better priced than the big box retailers. You'll find an assortment of fresh fruits and vegetables, fresh flowers, pastries and cakes and much more. Another thing that I appreciate is that many of the items are marked with a "I'm Local" tag, indicating locally made products. These items include honey, coffee, dog food and candles. Geissler's is a great local grocery store, but not a one stop for me.

They had one roll of sausage but didn't say what kind. I relented an bought good sausage links and just tore the meat out of the casing and added sage to make my dish- but the grocery store had everything else I needed with no problems. Checking out was easy- we weren't local and the cashier zapped his savings card for us. Thank you very much! We were in and out quickly and there as they opened! Which made the process even quicker with hardly any other shoppers in the store!

They offer German white hardneck garlic, seed garlic, garlic bulbs, and garlic braids. The farm stand is in an old tobacco barn. I went a couple times and thought it was awesome. The prices were great and they had a huge variety of produce. One time, they posted on social that the flowers were free to pick. If you love fresh produce and supporting a small business, I highly recommend.

But the end of their season comes with a fantastic bonus for anyone that can get over to West Granby before October 12. That bonus is as many flowers as possible that you can cut and take home from their acres of flower farms. For Free. We saw people out there today with shopping bags, and laundry baskets scooping up their share of gorgeous flowers. Although some of the flowers (especially the sunflowers were way past peak), rest assured there were a ton of gorgeous fresh flowers representing every color of the rainbow still available. We cut and took home enough to fill three vases, of which we kept one and donated the other two to the local Senior Center to brighten the desks of two administrators. So, if you are in the area and have a hankering for some free flowers, set your navigation system to West Granby and enjoy. Just do it before October 12.

This is not on the same level as my all-time favorite fried seafood restaurant, Lenny and Joes, but it's also less than a mile from my house and not an hour down to the coastline. Overall, I think that this is a very good fried seafood plate. There are ample fried shrimp, fried scallops, and fried white fish. The batter is light and not greasy. The fries and onion rings are really very good. It also comes with plenty of tartar sauce and ketchup. The Captain's Combo is $25, the bit smaller version is $18, both a good value and delicious for the price! Go to the seafood department at Big Y, takes about 15 minutes to get the take out.

Customer service was good from some interactions with employees. Another big plus is the parking lot; I love that they have a spot for people with kids. The place was busy when I went, but self check out was quick and easy. I'm a fan of their prepared foods, bakery, meats/deli, and produce sections. I think the prices are comparable to their competitors. Overall, a good chain to purchase all of your groceries.

It all started back in the Winter of 2007 when I was layed off by my employer and I started six months of unemployment until I found a really great job. During those lean months, I started to frequent the Canton OSJL, the one closest to my home. It was a nice way to kill time and not spend a lot of money. How do you describe what they sell in OSJL? Short answer is they sell everything- clothes, food, hardware, housewares, health and beauty aids, toys for the kids- just about everything. These are not the smoke damaged seconds you'll find in Building 19- this is first quality new merchandise. They have a nice feature that saves you even more money -their Internet Coupons. Every week they feature about 20 coupons for deeper savings on all kinds of stuff- you have to go on their website and print them off. Every store has a dedicated section for the Internet Coupon specials. The Southwick location is one of OSJL's nicer locations, ranking in my book second only to Canton, and easily ahead of the adequate Bloomfield, slovenly Windsor, and horrendous Berlin stores. In Southwick, the shelves are well stocked, the store is neat, the signage is easy to read, the variety is stellar, the service is attentive and the prices are of course very good. I get a particular kick out of seeing OSJL staples such as Paul Sorvino pasta, Red Mill grains, and Peanut Butter & Company flavored peanut butter sold in fancy gourmet stores for 3 or 4X their OSJL price. If you like Salsa, try their Brad's salsa- its one of the best I have had for just about $2 or so. I also get their Polar Orange Dry Diet Soda 6-packs for an embarassingly low $1.65.
