The chicken was delicious, there's no gristle or muscle. The Texas toast I love, it's such a tastier alternative to fries. New Enlarged is lucky Raising Cains has come north. The restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating with restrooms. It has a lot of color so no instances of blah. Parking is good but there is a lot of activity there.

The young boy working at the register did a great job as we all piled in and instantly formed a long line. The food came out in a short time and there was not much waiting. I got fries and Texas toast. It was better this time, but I do like my fries a little crispier. One of my favorite things about the restaurant is the decor and wall paintings. I loved everything from the colors to the moving disco balls on the ceiling. It's very appealing and eye catching. It was nice to see everybody spending time together outside of the court. Food has a special way of bringing people together!!

Well this was a pleasant surprise. We wanted to try…read moresomething different and at the beginning by only looking at the pictures I was not so Convinced but my husband said we are already here so lets give it a shot. Unfamiliar with the menu and the kiosk mechanics we pressed buttons and made the best of it and the outcome was delicious. We are spicy food lovers but not familiar with the food here we didn't know what to expect. We chose MEDIUM spice just in case. We got the Daves trio, loaded burrito and a sandwich. All of it very tasty and juicy. Shout out to Felix our happy server, he was so nice to everyone and treated the kids with kindness. The restaurant itself is big and so colorful, nice atmosphere.

First time ever hearing about Dave's Hot Chicken. We happened to be in the area and someone in our…read moregroup raved about it. Got the #2. Comes with 2 chicken sandwiches and fries. Chicken was huge and super crispy. Fries are crinkle cut dusted with seasoning. Found that the fry amount was a bit smaller in portion size compared to the chicken. I mean maybe it's the actually serving size but let's be real. Fries are also a main course. So we ordered a large box of fries. The three of us (who didn't eat the #2 meal) killed the fries quickly. Mixed 2 packets of the Dave's sauce (it's like equivalent to 5 ketchup packets) with 2 ketchup packets . Mmm perfect. Saw a lot of Muslim patrons here. I was curious and looked it up. The chicken at Dave's is halal. KFC and chic fil a aren't. Looking at you KFC and chic fil a. More patrons would come to eat at your establishments if you served halal foods. Clearly from my ONE time eating at Dave's I could see that Muslim people like fried chicken too. DUH! Good job Dave's. I mean it didn't affect me in any way but it made me feel good that Dave's did something right. Will definitely be coming to Dave's Hot Chicken again!

While driving from Shelton to Windsor Locks (headed to BDL) I needed to make a restroom break and…read moretook this exit and saw the Dave's Hot Chicken. And since I'm on a journey to try all the hot chicken joints I can, I stopped in for a simple lunch and to use their restroom. The restroom was really clean - definitely a plus! But the service was GREAT! When I walked in, the lady working behind the counter greeted me... I noticed she greeted everyone who walked in. She helped me with the menu, answering questions and giving me suggestions. Their menu has more than the typical hot chicken sandwich, like most joints. They have some interesting things here, including a fried cheese done in "hot chicken seasoning style" and nuggets too. I went for their 10 piece nugget meal with came with fries. I waited about 10 mins for the food to be made, it came out piping hot and fresh. The fries were great - they were crispy and seasoned perfectly. The chicken was amazing! Looked, felt, tasted like it was freshly battered and fried. Came out piping hot and flavorful! I only got medium on this trip and I will say that their medium is on the light side, so next time I'd get hot. But it was very flavorful nonetheless! I really loved this visit and I would most definitely return to a Dave's Hot Chicken based on this visit!

The chicken that is served is not small. I could have probably just got away with just the number 1 which was two tenders to save on the carbs. But don't worry for those who still crave some the tenders came with a slice of bread so you could easily make a sandwich out them. The fries were super crispy all the way through. Not soggy at all. The chicken is severed with a Cajun spice that they add to the fries. It is very good if you like Cajun spice. They offer a variety of milkshakes which looks really good as well. Unfortunately I did not try those but something to check out next time. The location's got plenty of seating. Great decor and I can see that this is a great spot for late night eats. There's plenty of parking outside. That make the chicken nice and fresh so you do have to wait a little bit for them to get you your meal. But it's worth the wait. Also as soon as people left their tables l, the staff was already cleaning the tables. A plus in my book for cleaning. Also they had me rocking the '80s music too. Okay Dave, you got me hooked.

The building may be small but it's the perfect size for a busy kitchen and small front area to pick up great take-out food. Wow....can they put out some amazing down home southern food. They're all very friendly and welcoming and once again....man can they cook. I had the chopped BBQ, candied yams, collard greens, and cornbread. The chopped BBQ is spicy and vinegary. It didn't even need barbeque sauce, but you can get that as well. The candied yams had a spice that I couldn't figure out but it was addictive. I just wanted more. Collard greens were excellent. Cornbread was moist and tender. My wife wasn't that hungry so she ordered the Mac & Cheese. Warm, comforting, and cheesy. She loved it. My cornbread was so good that she ended up eating most of it. Couldn't ask for much more than that. Next time we order I'm going to try the Smothered Pork Chops.
