I find that the best time to go is in the morning since there are lesser lines. It's extremely convenient that the hoses are longer so that you can pump at any side no matter where your gas tank opens. Also, cheapest gas in the area by far! Why is all the space of that empty AM parking lot so inviting? Alas, diesel drivers, there is only gasoline here, but there are plenty lanes for gas drivers. The friendly enough attendants are near if you need them, but this is mostly a self-serve spot. Don't forget your membership card, and some membership cards do have extra perks if you fuel on your Costco card. Clean lanes, lots of gas, and being not so far off 9 and 84 make this a convenient spot, if not a bust spot on the weekends or after work hours. There aren't cold drinks or lotto tickets, but no prob.

(I compared on my way back down the hill) The downside? It's on E Main, and turning left would be an absolute nightmare to anyone behind you. It also sneaks up on you a little bit, because it's right after the residential area ends on your way toward Target. I will definitely have to keep Pit Stop (which seems to be pretending to be a Sunoco online) for the future!

The staff is generally friendly and helpful...every now and then there's a jerk...but it's not long before they seem to disappear. Also very obvious driving around town...can't miss them. Coffee is maintained through out the day...always fresh...never a burnt taste....always $.99 any size...and they have the occasional free coffee days, which is always kool. If your a people watcher and have nothing better to do....pick an advantageous parking spot, get a cup of joe and you'll see a parade of Torrington residents, and the diversity is apparent. There is a homeless element that hangs around now and then, but I've never found them a bother, and most of them are quite pleasant despite their rather lack luster existence. Police presence is common, and have so far found the TPD to be friendly and approachable. So....all in all...it's all good, I'll keep coming, it's 'convenient' and close. I give 4/5 stars only because I save the last star on any review for absolute top notch....and that is far and few on anything.

They've just been open for two weeks and offered a rock-bottom gas price of just $2.89 a gallon. Oh, and by the way, they have an incredibly sweet number of 16 gas pumps. It was one of my cheapest fill ups in quite a while. After I gassed up, I went inside to check out the store and buy a lottery ticket. Well, they've been open for such a short time they're not quite ready to start pumping out those tickets yet. Their spacious convenience store was neat as a pin and stocked to overflowing, and I saw a Dunkin' counter way off to the left. The young lady at the convenience store register was personable and very friendly when I chatted with her about the place. Noble's website says they are "a Connecticut-based business bringing high-end automobile re-fueling centers to New England". There's a few of them around Hartford and spread across the state. Some have carwashes and EV charging stations, but I think it's too early to see what the Day Hill location will end up with. I saw that Noble is also building a Truck Service and Diesel center pretty much next door at 1966 Day Hill Road. They are a very welcome addition to Day Hill Road and all of its office buildings and commuters.
