Brought my classic car to this business in June 20th of 2018. Expected the car back in about a week maybe week and a half. It was brought in for a radiator, solenoid, and speedometer cable replacement and tailpipe adjustment. I had supplied the radiator and speedometer cable. Called on July 4th week to check on the car and one of the mechanics explained that he was having trouble getting the Speedometer cable back in and he would have to cut a hole in the firewall to replace. He said car would be done on the following week. I get there to pick up the car and it has not been touched. I come back one and half week later and pick the car up. It dies while driving down 91 was leaking fluid and lost power. I called them and they towed the car back to Windsor locks to figure out what happened. They called me a few days later and said my circuit board for the dashboard gauges had been fried, so i actually ran out of gas on the highway. The gauges were fine until i left it with them (they took it apart to put the speedometer cable back in). They said they needed some parts to fix the gauges and could i order them, so went online to Mustangs Unlimited( approx. 20 minute drive from their shop). The main technician working on my car complained to me "this car is causing me to lose money". Every time i went there my car was pulled apart with no dashboard sitting in their dusty back lot. They basically sat my car in their back lot and almost never worked on it. I got an excuse every time i called them. If it wasn't one thing, it was something else and never their fault. They finally gave me the car back in October. It was missing passenger side floor mat, wing nut on the air-cleaner was replaced with a plain nut and washer and the paint on the rear right 1/4 had a large chip of paint scratched off. They then presented me with an over $4500.00 bill. They said it was for mostly labor charges from June - October? I do not recommend BOBBY G's for any type of car repairs! You will be sorry you if you do!
