I sent her a few inspiration pictures, and when I went to pick out fabric, she already had narrowed down the samples for us, which streamlined the selection process. A few weeks later Aby let us know our bench was ready. It was exactly what I wanted, and the fabric had the perfect texture and color. I'm sure I could have bought a new bench for the price of the reupholstering, but I don't think I can find one that's custom made exactly as I want.

We had our dining set and chairs for over ten years and we love the design of our chairs. It was hard thinking about trying to replace them until we decided that the issue is the cushions. Due to normal wear and tear, our cushions started to sink and we felt like there was a hole in our chairs (basically sitting on the toilet type of feeling) which is not nice if you want to eat your meal. We decided to look for help in upholstery (looked at it as DIY and with lots of YouTube-this did not last long as we decided it was too complicated). He also gave advise on the proper way to lift and transport the chair, the best ways to sit on and then exit the chair, and recommended the best leather cleaner conditioner for us to order. And I admit, I put a lot of wear and tear on it as well. The finish had many water stains, scratches, and dents but what was worse - the drawers inside were unusable. I couldn't get them open or closed. But in January 2024, I used Lugg to haul it to Boris and he transformed it into magnificence. Unbelievable. Beautiful. Fast forward to this fall, I had an antique desk that I'd picked up off the street about 20 years ago. Its finish was so bad, I just painted some ugly red marble finish over it. Many coats. Then I put glass over the top. I had it like that for 20 years. It wasn't ok, but first the glass cracked and when I tried to remove it, it stuck to the paint and wrecked the surface. Plus being near a window, there was much sun damage. So I took it to Boris and he worked his magic, restoring it to its original walnut finish. I simply cannot believe how beautiful it is. I had no idea it's wood was so nice, So in conclusion, YES, I highly recommend this business. Be willing to wait 4-6 weeks, buts what you will get back is really something to treasure. For our two work projects, the zippers had broken on two of our heavily used pieces of exercise equipment. Jamie came up with a creative new design using velcro for the pieces in order to eliminate the possibility of needing another zipper repair in the future. For our home project, our new puppy had eaten the corner of our couch. When I started calling around to Furniture business close to me some weeks ago, I didn't get very…read morefar. I had a Chippendale chair with a broken seat base that needed to be replaced, but wanted to keep the fabric. Most places weren't interested in fixing something 'so small'.. So, I got on Yelp and decided to use their AI Assistant to find someone who could help. The responses came faster than I could have anticipated. The first one was from Leo at Leo's Upholstery. This was a business I was already considering, being somewhat close after 2 in Oakland. Leo's reviews are what sold me, outside of how responsive Leo was to my inquiry. I dropped off the chair, had a great chat with Leo about the chair, what we had done with it and other topics. He said it would be ready by Monday or Tuesday. I receive a text early on Tuesday morning, letting me know the chair was ready. We arranged a time and I came to get the chair. It was as promised. It's fixed (after many months of being damaged), it looks great, feels solid and I couldn't be happier with the experience. Leo will be my Go-To Furniture repair going forward.

There was quite a bit of communication back-and-forth and it was all seamless. I paid 200 extra to have my seats picked up and returned because they're down in the San Jose area. It was well worth that extra cost as I'm in Solano County. I got my dining room chairs beautifully refinished by Lucia's upholstery.The quality was amazing. They also quoted me a couple weeks. All other places were saying 6 weeks or so. Super happy with my chairs and Lucia's. Give them a shot!
