The servings are generous, the toppings abundant, and the ice cream itself is frozen perfection. Honestly, if there's a better way to spend a summer evening, I haven't found it. The setup is charming in its simplicity: a cozy little spot tucked between the stand and a neighboring building, picnic tables slightly shielded from the street. It feels almost like you've stumbled on a secret ice cream speakeasy, except the password is just "two scoops, please." Service? Quick, courteous, and top-notch--exactly the kind of people you want handing you sugar in frozen form. So why not five stars? Because the prices are... let's say "aspirational." The kind of numbers that make you check twice to make sure you didn't accidentally buy equity in the place. Delicious as it is, ice cream probably shouldn't cost the same as a casual sit-down lunch. That said, Nanabette's still delivers one of the best cones you'll find in Woburn. Just maybe bring a second wallet--you know, in case you want sprinkles.

My boys split the ice cream nachos (broken waffle cone, their choice of ice cream, 2 toppings, and dipping sauce). I could see how this spot would be nostalgic for some, but it is also a great joint for out-of-towners.

When you walk in you are hit with nostalgia, it is such a cute ice cream shop. Very classic and old school vibes. There were so many families and people enjoying their treats it just put me in the best mood. The menu can be a little bit overwhelming but in a good way. They have so many options to choose. I decided on a hard ice cream although I love soft serve. I chose a fun seasonal flavor, Rabbit Stew. YUM! I definitely will be forcing my boyfriend to drive 20 minutes to come back here for another treat. Definitely a gem in downtown Wakefield!

A girl in front, apparently named Maddie, was happy to help us and answer any questions we had. I bought 2 red velvet, 2 chocolate ganache, 2 chocolate buttercream, 3 vanilla buttercream, 1 white raspberry cupcakes, and a few vanilla macaroons. Altogether, this purchase came up to about $20. Long story short, no other place can compare to Sweet Spot Bakery. I wasn't sure what I got myself into, but I had no clue Sweet Shop would raise the bar to point where I don't think I can ever taste another cupcake the same way. I instantly knew by the softness of the macaroons and the moist sweetness of the cupcakes that I would be a regular at this establishment. And I have been! I've gone back at least every two weeks and have been recognized. If any shop could take my money and heart, I'm glad it's Sweet Spot!
