Super friendly staff good good food and convenient near my house and affordable good prices too

Been here pretty often since it's close to my daughter's place. Their dishes are always freshly prepared and delicious. My favorite are the pork bbq and fish, dinuguan, Bicol express, Kare kare, pinakbet, and the chicharon manok. My biggest feedback is the service. Wish they had more ppl serving at the counter. read more

Came here to order a medium size Pork sigig ala carte, staff was rude as the server kept rushing me from picking a selection. BE AWARE they try to charge me $18.00 for a medium pork ala carte the menu says "$10 medium for pork" when I asked the cashier why is it that price she said "it goes by pound" so your telling me 1 pound is equal to $18?! Absolutely NOT. Will not be coming back, bad manners and liars. read more

Quick in and out for Filipino food. Don't listen to the racist yelper review named Christian F. Covid precautions: 5/5 Staff wearing masks. Plexiglass installed. Hand sanitizer available. Socially distancing enforced. Contactless. Food: 3/5 This is my go to when I want Filipino food fast and easy. They always have the classics like pancit, adobo, skewers, and diniguan. Cant go wrong with those. read more

Tasty and great customer service. The food is fresh and always delicious. Love the pan it and pork limpias.

Never have I ever had such terrible service from a business. They constantly cancel my order. Sadly, the food ain't even that good. My mom makes way better dishes. I only go here because it just reminds me of home cooked meals. But don't let their name fool you. They're very unprofessional and their services is terrible. I literally went out of my way to write this on yelp. I do Not recommend this spot at all. read more

I recently visited this place one week apart, and I'm sad to say that this most recent experience was this less than satisfactory. Firstly, the garlic fried chicken I was served seemed to be a day old, was cold, resulting in an unappetizing rancid taste yet pink and a little bloody. It would be helpful if the staff could be more transparent about the freshness of their food, especially when charging extra for dishes that just came hot off the kitchen like their KareKare (or they just charge extra for this particular item). Perhaps implementing a policy that clearly communicates the preparation details and pricing structure would avoid future misunderstandings but definitely letting your customer know in advance that although you see piping hot garlic fried chicken here on display, I'm not serving you that because there's still some day-old chicken back here that I need to get rid of. Despite this, the service was friendly and respectful and pleasant. I didn't find out that the food was day-old until I got home and noticed the lack of taste from what I had the week before. Hopefully, they can take this constructive feedback into consideration, as the potential for improvement is definitely there. read more

PhilHouse - always "sold out" but it's 10am. ‍‍ - Filipino Near Me - Long Beach, California

So many options from BBQ chicken, to dinuguan, to ginisang mungo. I was in the mood for some Sinigang bangus, but had to settle for a different kind of fish. It tasted good though. The young lady that was my server lacked friendliness. She had a bit of an edge to her that I didn't quite relate to. I'm of the old school belief that customer service is everything--kindness, smiling, accommodating. But nevertheless, I enjoy this place for having a super fast way to access Filipino food. Do I prefer my Mom's homemade cooking...of course! Of course! But as a very temporary substitute, this will do. read more

I have been shopping at Island Pacific for months now since it opens, I have been buying here at PHILHOUSE and the staff in the afternoon are nice and very friendly until today when I did bought a breakfast meal. I met this lady name Eden, she is so mean. I start my day early morning around 8:10 am, Wanting to try their breakfast before I go to work. She is not pleasant to her customer, she is frowning and I felt that she do not want to work because she has been ignoring me since I start ordering. Spent more than $50 for breakfast and this is the kind of experience I had. The staff is looking at her and wondering why she is not paying attention on my orders. Two of the staff apologized for her bad attitude. I might not even come back to buy breakfast there anymore. read more

I ordered rice and pancit with chicken teriyaki and bbq pork on a stick. It's pretty good but expensive.

Online order was never checked and confirmed until 30 mins later, when the order was getting picked up, when it was brought to their attention. Lumpia was soggy. Pork bbq, sauce was good, but meat quality was bad so it didn't taste all that good. Honestly, I didn't get passed 2 bites and would never get again. Pancit Bihon was decent. I'll prob never get food from here again. Highly do not recommend. Take the time to go to Cerritos & Artesia, better quality and taste. read more

My first time here. Their gulaman palamig taste old! I just had 1 sip and threw it away.

PhilHouse, is a classic case of "what I ordered, vs "what I got. On one hand the customer service is fair, but on another it's a lot of bait and switch. Attached are two photos pertaining to my order. I placed this order thru door dash (which by the way is another topic for another day) but I digress. After this order was placed, I called to confirm that this pancit came with scrimp. The rep from the restaurant informed me that it didn't. she future explained, this dish came with chicken and cabbage. "Ok" thinking to myself.... I explained, the picture on door dash is a little deceitful. She couldn't explained the difference and I didn't push... I received my order, and not only did it not have scrimps, I but there was no chicken. Let's be clear, I love filipino food. My favorite dish is pancit. I've had pancit before, so I can't explain how amazing this dish is. Unfortunately, PhilHouse just didn't deliver..... I will not be back. TA-TA for now. read more

I found a fingernail on my palabok. I chewed and bit it a few times because I thought it was just hard meat, but when I took it out of my mouth, it was new moon-shape like when u use nail cutter to cut your nails. It was a small that fits the pinky finger. I'm so grossed out, I ate all of the palabok. This is a warning to all Filipinos. This is not the first time. I've been to some where I literally found public hair. And even though, I'm proud of our culture and our food, this is the 3rd of 4time I've seen disgusting human piece on my food. It usually occurs on Filipino restaurants that sells food cafeteria style. But I will continue to eat here. I don't care. Suportahan ang kapwa Pinoy. Kahit na may urmot o' Koko. Kain lang mga besh! Pag isipan na lang na para chinupa nyo na ang jowa nyo. Cheeehoo!!! read more

My daughter requested an order of fried smelt fish to go along with our dinner. When we got home, I took a bite but had to spit it out. It was stale! My 11 year old was disappointed. I've also experienced that with the fried chicken skin during the very few times we bought food there. It seemed they've been recycling the same old cooking oil as well as refrying the left overs from the day before to sell. After dinner, I went back to return it. The manager was nice but was defensive at first. She said she tasted it earlier and that it was good. I challenged her to pick any two random pieces so that I can taste one and her the other. She then called on one of her workers to take the whole tray away. I suggested to the manager that if there's left over at the end of the day, they should either give it away to employees or customers or throw it away. But don't refry it to sell the next day. She also offered me some free food for my troubles but I declined because I knew that I was going to write this review. I wanted to keep my reviews honest. read more

All you need to do is point at what you want and tell the staff the combo number. Easy and quick! This is inside a market so seating for dinning is very limited. Parking is plentiful so you won't have a hard time parking. Food wise, I would definitely recommend the Turon. They do it right, not too sweet and not too small. The rest of the food seems fresh and you can definitely see it being replenished constantly, however, majority are too oily. And if you want beef dish, it's additional $.50 more. This also includes items usually ordered by weight. read more

I went there for the first time last week. I came from another state so the dishes were not similar to what I'm used to eating, probably from a different region. They need more info on the tags to tell you what the dish is. I ordered Lechon Kawali but I only got the Lechon, there were no onions and tomatoes. I asked for vinegar sauce but it was something that I never saw before. There was only 1 lady behind the counter, she was a younger lady, she did her best to accommodate the customers. She was pleasant. I am definitely going to go back to try other dishes. read more

This is a Filipino fast food restaurant that's located inside the Island Pacific Market. Noodles very dry and bland and tastes too fishy. The Lumpias was ok but doggy from been in plastic bowl and garlic chicken was good.

I love Filipino food so this is a decent place to go to for those who live in the Bixby Knolls area that don't want to travel to Westside LB or Cerritos for authentic cuisine. The food is good, but not great. The portions are small for the pricing, as compared to places like Edna's or Tita Susan's. Definitely have tons of options though! My only reason for not giving a full 5 star review is the wonky service here. It seems that every time I order food here, I'm always being helped by females that are just too catty or snobby. They always have some sort of attitude whenever they're helping me & I can't help but notice it every single time I come here. Never have any problems with the male staff though! Maybe they can help serve those pinays some humble pie ‍ read more

The place is inside the Island Pacific Market. Parking lot is shared with Island Pacific customers. Considering the place is small, referring to Island Pacific Market, the parking lot is just right for the size of the place. The food presentation/packaging is great. Some other place will use styrofoam but this place uses plastic containers with lids. One good thing about that is the convenience of just stowing the food away if you were not able to finish eating. The price for the food is okay. The "combo" pricing is only for food, drinks are separately paid, unless of course you want just water; then there is a water fountain/dispenser. But for the per pound food items. Those can get pretty expensive. The server staff are friendly. Restroom is available though I did not check what the situation is at the restaurant. Overall, this place is good for a quick eat-and-go. By that, there are only a handful of dining tables. And the place do offer catering services or bulk/party orders. Reason for a 4-star rating is the convenience of food packaging coupled with the eat-and-go type is a good combination to have. Also, this is not a full fledged restaurant so I have to take that into account on doing this review. The rating would be different if this place were a full fledged restaurant. read more

First I can smell delicious foods in the air. So I did a search with my Yelp app to find what was close to me. And lo and behold I find it a little bit of heaven. Remind me of my mom's food. Poor Customer Service and the server is very very rude. Wonder why people would work in places like this and you are not a people person.

This is the first time I'm writing a review. I hate it. But I think it's time. Went here today for a to go lunch. WOW!!! I was shocked when the cashier told me $61.00 and for the portion of the food!!! It's not even worth it. We ordered 4 MEDIUM SIZE items and their medium size is a small size from another Filipino restaurant. I rather spend my money on gas to go to another Filipino place and get my monies worth. I had lunch with my friends the other day on a non-Filipino restaurant, for the four of us, I paid less that what I paid for today. And it was an EXCELLENT LUNCH! THIS IS THE MOST EXPENSIVE FILIPINO FOOD I ever paid for. I TRIED TO PROMOTE FILIPINO CUISINE TO MY NON-FILIPINO FRIENDS AND THEIR RIGHT. Filipino foods ARE TOO EXPENSIVE!!! I will never ever come back and order from this place again. VERY DISSAPOINTED!!! NOT FOR THE FOOD BUY FOR THE PRICE! If I can give them a ZERO star I would!!! read more
