I went in here with darker brown hair and showed a picture of what I wanted, a few shades lighter…read moreof brown (photo attached), and I came out with literal YELLOW hair. Not only was the result completely different from what I wanted, but I also had a hot curling iron dropped on my arm and after hours of bleach on my head they also felt like it was a good idea to hold a blow dryer less than an inch away from my scalp, which left my scalp feeling sore for weeks after the appointment. I also ended up paying almost double the amount that I was originally quoted, which I'm sure had to do with the fact that there was more bleach used than necessary. This cost me $320 when I was originally quoted $170, keep in mind this was just for the coloring, I did not get a haircut. I also would not get a haircut here ever again because a few weeks prior to this appointment, I got a haircut here and the FRONT pieces were at least 2 inches different in length (which makes no sense to me since that should be the easiest part to see?). I reached out to the salon and spoke to the owner via email and received no compensation but instead an offer for a $75 voucher that could be used there in future appointments, which is nothing to me since I will not be going back nor would I recommend this salon to anyone that I know. Between the poor results, inaccurate pricing, scalp discomfort, and lack of accountability after, I recommend taking your hair elsewhere.

I came in for a spray tan and unfortunately ended up with noticeably orange hands. It's been 10+…read moreyears since I got a spray tan, so when the tan was on my hands at the salon, I assumed that was how it was supposed to be until I got home and saw it was getting way too dark, and some parts of my hands were still pale where the tanner didn't go. The employee never had me clean/wipe my hands off during or after the procedure. Additionally, the inside of my calves appears to be missed but that is much easier to fix at home than other areas that were too dark. I called the salon the next day for advice, and was told someone would call me back, but no one ever did. I ended up having to spend more money than the original service just trying to fix it on my own (Both in tanning my calves and in trying to erase the tan on my hands), all while preparing to be part of a wedding party the next day. I understand that mistakes can happen, no service is perfect. But how a business responds to those mistakes is what really matters. Being ignored after reaching out for help was incredibly frustrating and disappointing. A simple call back could have gone a long way in making me feel appreciated and less alone in the situation.

I was horribly treated by the manager at La Clinica, Jayne Gary. I have gone to La Clinica a few…read moretimes for facial electrolysis treatments related to my side effects from previous endocrine therapy for breast cancer. Due to these medical reasons, I submitted claims for the electrolysis to my health insurance company, who has reimbursed me in the past for electrolysis that I received from another provider. In order to submit my claims for La Clinica, I just needed Jayne to sign a simple form, but, for some reason, she went out of her way to inconvenience and alienate me when I made this minor request. In a hostile and exasperated way, Jayne told me that she doesn't like dealing with insurance companies, and she wouldn't give me the necessary information for a claim (such as a tax ID number) until I insisted on it. I even had to help her understand the difference between a tax ID number and a state license number, as she apparently didn't know this. In addition, Jayne aggressively questioned me about my cancer treatment, and I had to send her a letter from my oncologist verifying my cancer-related need for electrolysis. On top of that, my oncology social worker needed to call Jayne on the phone and explain the situation. I have been to other electrologists in the past, and none of them made these weird requests of me. I don't know what Jayne's agenda is. Jayne's behavior was especially weird given that I paid her for the services in full, and I was just taking steps to get reimbursements from my insurance. It was very unclear why she feels so uncomfortable with insurance forms, and why she is so resistant to being helpful. It appeared that she was going out of her way to alienate me. I would caution anyone against going to La Clinica, but especially anyone who is seeking treatments for medical reasons. The last thing that a person with a serious health problem needs is the added stress of interacting with someone like Jayne.
