We always sit on the bar side where Carlos is our server. My husband and I enjoy being served by Carlos. He's very personable and we have great conversation with him. He takes EXCELLENT care of us every single time. However, ALL of the servers at Rodeo Cafe are excellent and very attentive. You can't go wrong with anywhere you sit. You will be taken care of. Now for the food.... The food is great and the prices are exceptional. You get alot of food for your money. I usually always order the same thing. The veggie omelet with no broccoli and a side FRIED pancake. Yes, a fried pancake!! You HAVE to try it. It's AMAZING! Sandy (one of the servers) introduced me to the fried pancake and I've been hooked ever since. And of course, I always order a mimosa with my breakfast too. Yes folks!!! They have a FULL bar!! I love this! And they make pretty darn good drinks. I've also tried their burgers and they're pretty good too. The Mexican dishes are also really good. Honestly, I don't feel like you could go wrong with anything off the menu. All in all, Rodeo Cafe offers a great dining experience with fantastic service and pricing. Sometimes on quiet days in town there is a wait because the cashier is also responsible for preparing the food/drinks, but it's always reasonable. The prices are very fair, they do not hit you with the "mountain tax" at all. The drip coffee is tasty and the espresso is good as well! I haven't had the pastries yet but they look good, especially the donuts, and I'm excited to come back and taste them. Today I had the breakfast burrito, the cashier was very helpful and accommodating of some recent dietary restrictions I have developed, and she made me a great burrito! I swapped out the bacon for avocado (not normal for me, but like I said, dietary restrictions) and it was just as good as with bacon! My burrito has avocado, eggs, hash browns and tomatoes, and it was exactly what I needed. Good to note that the only bread option is sourdough, however, it is very tasty homemade and fresh sourdough, which is quite the treat. Unfortunately, not for me today, but I have enjoyed it in the past. I usually get to go and drive up the hill to picnic with a view, but I'm looking forward to eating in one day. That atmosphere is very cozy and calm, both the inside and the patio are nice. And we drove around looking at all cozy neighboring cottages, for thirsty and hungry for a lil snack and walked into Evergreen Cafe, which is the street it sits on. Ethan greeted us warmly, I ordered two iced tea and a tomatoe soup. And he refilled our iced tea, without asking, thank ya! All were yummy and exactly what we needed for a mid-summer day snack around town. There's also, a wrap around outdoor patio, so we'll bring our doggos next time for a proper vege burger sit-down meal. Hehe.
