Today was my first time at Jerry's. My waitress hasmd a beautiful smile and beautiful teeth. I know that was random. At any rate the portions were more than ample especially the burritos and panned cakes. They were fart with drink refills but and didn't make us feel rushed at all. Bacon eggs and toast cooked exactly how each of us liked them. Something else that I think speaks volumes about a restaurant is it's bathrooms the menss room was spotless and odorless. I love Jerry's, but PLEASE get a salad spinner already!! If I don't get their vegetarian burrito (minus the egg), I get a side salad and their breakfast potatoes. A divine combination. I avoided this restaurant for 3 months because of my salad day before Mother's Day. My salad was wilted and so wet. This past week, I ordered the same thing, telling the waitress that I almost didn't come back. And to please make sure salad wasn't dripping wet. A nice fresh crisp salad till I got towards the end. I had to prop plate on my phone to drain my salad. When asked if everything okay, I showed her. Response? Yeah, they wash the lettuce. So do I, and spin it more often than not. Good diner in a shopping center for a hearty breakfast. I ordered one of their large five egg omelettes, a garden one. I definitely got my money's worth! It came with several choices other than the standard hash browns. I chose cottage cheese which was fresh tasting. The optional green salsa that came with the meal looked oxidized but tasted okay. this is my first time trying this place. Apparently, it's brother-in-law's place and sisters. They are known for the chilirelleno omelet. They have great portions for great prices. The coffee was a bit watered down and looked like brown water it needs to be a bit darker for my liking. She offered to make another pot and it came out the same way. Maybe the coffee machine needs me updated. The place was very clean and the staff was very nice I didn't catch our server's name but she was very attentive and stayed on top of things. It's nice and roomy in there and has space for different size groups. I saw the daily special which is great. I will definitely be back. I enjoy all my food. Even the pancakes with bananas. Chilequiles had 1 piece of pork,but was $16.99 Beans were cold and had a dried layer on top, told me how long it was sitting...I didn't eat them. The rice was dry and hard....I didnt eat it. We found Jerry's Cafe on yelp and it did not disappoint. We are not from the area and Im sad because it was great. From the moment you walk in everyone is friendly. Our waitress was Cynthia and she was wonderful. She checked in and our orders were correct, she made small talk with our little one. The cooks made everything delicious. The onions rings were crispy and I'm usually nit a fan of onion rings but they were so good. We got the western burger and added pastrami meat which was alway so delicious. I got the chile verde chilaquiles and it was perfect, the sauce was fire. Our daughter got the strawberry banana waffle and added Nutella and she ate most her food, its a big serving and she normally doesn't eat very well. The food came out very fast and it was busy. My only complain would be the bacon, it was pretty dry and over cooked which I think most places over cook bacon but otherwise we loved it. Will not be returning to this Cafe. I am disabled and use a walker. I move a little slower than other people. Anyways, we sat down at a table and by the time we got our menus it was 9:00 exactly. I asked for the early bird special and the heavy waitress named Ruby said that they stop serving the early bird special at 9am and that I was one minute too late. ONE SINGLE MINUTE! Jerry's started out EXCELLENT, Great Food and OUTSTANDING Service. But something has happened lately. The service has suffered badly and the food quality is mediocre at best. Trying to get an order right the last 2 visits was simply impossible. Our food was brought to the table at different times for a party of 5, which is highly inappropriate at any restaurant, and once all the food was delivered to our table the wait staff promptly neglected us, only offered drink refills while handing us the bill. Asked about my license and when I was explaining to the waitress how it works another waitress rudely interrupted and said we don't allow dogs. Kept interrupting me when speaking. When another table told her she doesn't have that right and I spoke to that customer she had the nerve to tell me not to interrupt her customers. They were talking to me mam.
