Took good care of me when I bought a high mileage Lexus from him. Truck was nice. Told me it had brand new valve cover gaskets and he did them personally. After 15+ years experience at Longo you'd think that would mean something. It doesn't. I haven't even put 20,000 miles on the thing and I'm doing valve cover gaskets. It's was weeping oil a couple months after I bought it but by the two year anniversary, I've got oil leaking everywhere. Had to go to Crown Toyota and spend $300 on parts and fix it myself. Small, used car lots are not the first places I look to by a used car for obvious reasons. They are usually not trustworthy and the pushy salesman will tell you whatever just to sell a car. This experience at Phat's was the complete opposite. This is literally a "Mom and Pop" shop with Phat and his wife at the helm. Phat answers all your questions without any sales pressure whatsoever. He let's you test drive and thoroughly go through the car with a fine-toothed comb. The Lexus LS430 I purchased is nearly 20 so there were some things that were worn down (door motors and driver's side mirror). Phat fixed those items to my satisfaction before I bought the car after I pointed them out to him. As other reviewers noted, he is an experienced Toyota mechanic with a high level of certification. That gave me some piece of mind because he knows cars; especially the Toyota-Lexus line. The entire experience was pleasurable and may even be the best car buying experience for me. From the beginning to the end, my experience was the top notch. Phat was courteous and professional at all times. Phat is a Toyota master mechanic. He is very knowledgeable about Toyota and Lexus cars. Many reviews talked about how Phat goes above and beyond and I concur with the statement 100%. I purchased used Lexus GS 350. Back mirror was scratched badly and engine cover was missing and they were replaced and provided at no cost. I wanted a second key and cabin filter and AC filter replaced. Those were offered to me at a dealer's cost. According to the safety inspection, rear tires and driver side tire needed to be replaced for the safety. Those were replaced. Phat showed me Carfax and gave me a copy. Phat provides Carfax and 3 months/or 3,000 miles warranty to all customers. Racquel helped me with all the paperwork and financing smoothly. She did effectively with such proficiency. While I was there, Phat sent out a towing truck to a lady who was stranded somewhere. Phat also offered a loaner car to someone who needed it. I wished Phat a lot of new business. Surprisingly, Phat responded he only wanted just enough business to cater people with individualized attention. He said that would make him happy. I bought a 2000 civic and returned it the next day because of highly probable transmission issues. Before buying the car, I bargained for a free, full refund if the car didn't meet my expectations. The normal cost for this is $350 in this dealership. I got it for free and I'm glad I did. The transmission cruised at 3,000 rpm at about 68 mph. It seems the transmission was starting to slip or slipping already. Thankfully, I got my money back in less than a week My biggest issue is that I caught phat on a lie/deception. The dashboard lights didn't all work, and he tried to trick me by saying they only turn on when there is something wrong, but I know that all the lights must turn on when the car is first turned on.
