I asked why the price was more than it normally is especially for getting the same exact thing done to my hair that I always do and was told it was because a higher educated person did my hair, but I never knew that it would cost more or even that a higher educated person was doing my hair prior to that. And on top of that wasn't even refunded half of what I had paid. Before that all happened they also made me come back three separate times because they "didn't have enough time to do my hair." They did give me 30% off for one of the times that they made that scheduling mistake which I was appreciative for. But not when it continued to happen.

Unexperienced, uneven, overcharged, extremely rude…read more Brought my daughter in for basic haircut- just to trim a few inches off of straight, unlayered hair. Aaliyah took a long time to blow dry her hair, but thought all was ok. When I went to check out they added $21 to the $59 bill because she has long hair. I thought $80 was very steep for this casual salon and junior stylist, but I paid it and left. At home I noticed my daughter's hair was completely uneven. Went back next day and manager tried to fix the haircut, but because it was cut so unevenly she would have had to cut maybe 4 more inches off to fix it, which she said would grow back in a month. I don't know anyone whose hair grows that fast. When I said my daughter was upset with me because she just wanted to get an inexpensive haircut at Supercuts, she laughed. My response was they could not have done a worse job than what we received at Hue. No refund or anything was offered and it seemed like we were laughed at. If they were able to fix it, a refund is not necessary, however if the haircut is unfixable a refund should be offered. Aaliyah was nice, but I don't feel like you can charge $80 for an obviously brand new stylist who can't trim straight hair.

The salon was lovely and had beautiful flowers and artwork everywhere. I could tell that a lot of thought and love was put into every detail. After I walked in I was promptly greeted by my stylist Amanda and was asked if I wanted a coffee, water or a snack. Once I was settled comfortably in the chair Amanda listened to what I wanted and made suggestions that would compliment the look I was going for. I can't say how happy I am with the amazing cut and highlight! She was able to give my hair so much depth and volume. I absolutely love my new look and will be back to see Amanda again!

I dropped in yesterday to Revel to get a quick eyebrow wax and I was happy surprised by how…read morefantastic of an experience it was. Usually when I get my brows done, it's a quick and dirty waxing at a random place like "Star Nails" but this was fantastic. For just $11 plus tip (only $1 more than most places charge) I got my best brow wax ever. She followed my instructions to "clean them up but not make them thin" perfectly. They use a cream-based wax instead of a honey-based one so it doesn't pull off unnecessary skin and barely hurts at all. They also did a great job trimming them shorter, which is an art that few have mastered. To top it all off, they had fresh cookies all around and offered both my boyfriend and myself water or coffee even though they knew they weren't going to make big bucks off of us. (He just sat in the nice waiting area.) This place is tucked away in an awkward corner surrounded by medical and real estate offices, but it is worth the search. I'll definitely be back again and again.

This time, I decided to try a salon closer to home, hoping that if I liked the results, it would become my new regular salon. To avoid any miscommunication, I showed the stylist a reference photo and asked for a haircut similar to it. Unfortunately, the final result looked nothing like the picture. When I pointed out that the haircut was very different from what I had requested, the stylist told me it was because I have a wider face and a shorter neck. While I understand that every haircut should be adapted to a person's features, this explanation didn't justify how different the result was. Looking in the mirror, I was heartbroken. The hair was cut shorter than I wanted, the shape was uneven, and it looked poorly executed. I had already decided I would need to find another salon to try to fix it. The owner later stepped in and did her best to reshape the haircut. I truly appreciate her effort, and the final result was an improvement. However, there was only so much she could do after the hair had already been cut, and it still not looked like the style I had asked for. I still left a 20% tip because everyone was polite and treated me kindly. But not for the quality of the haircut.
