Working with Tabitha at Haven Holistic Salon has been such a pleasure! Tabitha helped me create a plan for my hair after hormonal changes that caused thinning and breakage from years of lightening. She has curated such a wonderful and safe space that made me feel completely comfortable from the moment I walked in the door. My favorite part is that Tabitha includes energy work and a whole body approach to all of her services. This is more than your average salon and I am so glad I found Haven Holistic Salon and Tabitha! read more

I drive over an hour for Tabitha and her exceptional extensions and color services, and the curated experience she provides for me. Why? Let me count the ways for you: -Constantly educating herself: Tabitha is not only a master of her craft, but is always seeking education and upskill opportunities. Every 8 weeks that I see her, she is flying to this conference or headed to that class. -Extensions knowledge and skills (IBE is better than NBR): She was extremely meticulous in selecting her method of extensions, IBE. I was a devout NBR follower for over 2 years, and after coming up dry and having a not so great prior experience of NBR with a different stylist in Charlotte, I had to expand my horizons. I found Tabitha and was extremely hesitant to try IBE. She took the time to educate me on the differences and advantages of IBE over NBR, and I LOVE IBE now! I constantly am converting my NBR friends, because this dang anchor beads that I used to try and hide on day 3 or a pony day with NBR truly are invisible now. Not to mention it feels so much lighter and more seamless with IBE. You'll see from the pictures below I have the finest and thinnest (thanks to significant hair loss from a IUD) hair, and Tabitha and her hands always work magic. People NEVER know -Straight forward pricing and communication: Every time I enter her salon, I know exactly what we are doing that day, how much it will cost, and how long it will take. This was a huge change from stylists of my past and I am always so appreciative of her communication style. -Experience vs just a service: Tabitha is fiercely committed to creating a personalized, curated experience for her clients. In advance of my appointment, she always sends a survey that allows me to pick my preferred snack, beverage, music, atmosphere (fun and energetic, quiet and relaxing, need to do work), and it is a game changer! I find myself wishing all services in my life were this personalized and thoughtful. -Color expert: She always educates me on my options (permanent, semi-permanent, etc) and makes sure I have a voice in what I want, and that I am comfortable with what we are doing. It's always a seamless blend, with multiple dimensions, that lasts for 12-16 weeks on this brunette beauty (which is what she makes me every time!) read more

I recently moved to the area and desperately needed a move up. Luckily I was able to find Tabitha through the IBE style locater and she was able to squeeze me in right away. I've gone to Tabitha about 3 times over the last 6 months and I can already see so much progress with my hair. She is amazing at what she does and she is so knowledgeable about every aspect of her field. Each time i go in i feel like i get so much out of each appointment! Nothing beats her scalp massages!!! She is worth every penny and i 10/10 recommend her every time! read more

Tabitha is amazing! So glad a work colleague recommended her to me. I was seeking help for my thinning hair, which is already a thin, fine hair type to begin with. Previous stylists dismissed my concerns and offered nothing. Tabitha met me with empathy and respect, and then began to share her wealth of hair knowledge at each appointment I've had. She has done a stellar job dialing in my hair color and also providing me with a true relaxing spa experience while I'm there (I have 3 young boys, so peaceful experiences are worth their weight in gold!). Tabitha has recommended products that have steadily improved my hair growth. But the real value has been in the tips and tricks she has taught me: how to dry my hair without damaging the ends so much, what brushes to use on my fragile hair, why not to go to bed with wet hair, and how to style my hair with beachy waves and have it actually hold longer than 5 minutes! Where were all these tips in the earlier part of my adulthood?!? And if that weren't enough, you can also have her prepare an at-home root color touch up kit, to help keep the grays away between appointments. And she has a video to coach you through the technique so you do it correctly. All genius! Needless to say, I am a happy client! Lots of fantastic hair days for me!!! read more

When it comes to hair extensions , hair loss and color, Tabitha is by far the BEST!! She's professional, honest and the most knowledgeable that I've ever been to for my extensions. She is always looking for new ways to pamper her clients and truly has such a passion for hair. I will never go anywhere else and you won't either once you sit in her chair! Go see her, you will not regret it! read more

My hair and I love Tabitha! She is a true professional with major skills! My hair was slightly damaged when I started seeing her and now my hair is happy, healthy and beautiful! She is thoughtful in the way she approaches repairing and coloring hair and she makes me feel so special when I'm in her chair. She's also an inspiration! I always leave her studio with a brighter outlook on life! She's truly amazing! read more

I probably shouldn't say this because it's going to require me to book in advance next time but what a great experience this was. Competence deserves it's just reward, so full steam ahead... Brief bio-I work from home but am-in financial services. I'm getting old-I need the length of my hair to conceal that fact as long as possible, but I also have to speak with executives and I can't go in there looking like Jerry Garcia. I don't care much for the salon environment generally, but I found that every barbershop I went to listened to what I asked for politely and then cut exactly what they wanted. What I would walk out with was a scalp that an elevator revealed like an x-ray machine under that dreadful light. That is true for all of the barbershops that I have been to in CLT. Tabitha listened and executed with perfection. This long(ish) hair of mine even looks good when I first wake up which is extra credit for reasons I won't go into. Well done! read more

Tabitha is amazing at her craft! I had the IBE extensions and i love them. She took my fine hair and made it long and luxurious! She is also incredibly professional. Her studio is immaculate and her quick response and thorough consultation was very much appreciated. She is a must visit!!!!! read more

Tabitha is fantastic. I've been going to her for about a year and a half. When I want to make a change to my hair, I bring in a few photos and she gives her thoughts and suggestions. She always delivers; I've never left disappointed! I even trusted her to cut my shoulder-length hair to a pixie, and I couldn't be happier. She has her own private room, so there are no other clients or distractions; Tabitha focuses on you and your needs. Word of advice, book ahead! Her schedule fills up fast, especially towards the holidays. read more

Tabitha is a wonderful hairdresser; I highly recommend her. She is extremely knowledgeable and very caring. I came to her with very thin, damaged hair. She has really helped bring life back into my hair. It's healthier, and getting thicker every month. She truly cares about the health of her clients' hair, and recommends (and sells) high quality products to promote healthy hair. She truly cares about her clients and their hair, more than I've seen any hairdresser I've met in the past. She makes me want to have healthier hair. I feel very fortunate to have found her when I moved to the Charlotte area. read more

I usually don't write the reviews, however I could not be happier with my hair results and decided to share my experience . I can't speak highly enough of my new hairstylist Tabitha. She is a definition of perfection when it comes to the coloring and hair extensions. She is fantastic! Tabitha is a professional and caring hairstylist. She does a very precise and exceptional work. She saved my hair that someone else totally ruined it. Her tips on how to care for the hair and suggestions on the products, had revived my hair without needing to cut it off. Her salon is friendly and cozy. Tabitha is absolutely most talented hairdresser that I have visited in the last 20 years. The extensions that she installed were matched amazingly. It's difficult to spot where the real hair ends and extensions begin. The color choice was incredible match too. She is really an Angel taking care of her clients hair . I highly recommend Tabitha and know that after first visit everyone will fall in love with her work. I look forward to seeing her again soon. read more

I had been looking for a stylist that understood color and could do a great cut...and Tabitha came into my life. She was terrific from the first visit. She takes the time to really understand what you want and yet has the ability to make suggestions that make a "new you!" I went to Tabitha for more than a year before moving to DC. It makes me sad that I had to "leave her." I would definitely go back if I am ever back in Charlotte. read more

Tabitha is GREAT! She listens and gives suggestions when needed, she knows what she is doing. Awesome salon that is private (so you don't have to sit in an open room with everyone else getting a hair cut/color or whatever). Love my new man-do. THANKS Tabitha read more

I came to Matthews to visit, and before i came i went to my hair stylist in upstate New york and i've had the backwards bob for a very long time i wanted something different so my hair stylist just gave me a blunt cut, i came here to Matthews hating my hair because i have very coarse thick hair and alot of it i called Tabatha and just talking to her on the phone i found great comfort, and through the grace of god she had an opening i am so pleased with my hair she is amazing and honestly i dont say that about hair stylists all of the time because of how difficult my hair is i would highly recommend her to anyone and everyone i am so happy read more

Very friendly, helpful, knows what she's doing...which is a huge plus because I'm clueless. Felt comfortable even though I'm not a salon kind of guy. Casual but professional, and the location is unique. read more

I went to Tabitha for a Groupon to have a Keratin treatment and was pleased with the results (first visit). I went back for a haircut and liked the cut. When I went back the following time I expressed some frustration with my hair - she created a wonderful cut that I LOVE. I also took my daughter to her to help create a look to work towards. Very happy. She understands your hair and works with it to create the desired look. I highly recommend her. read more

I moved to NC about a year ago. My hair is thick and coarse, difficult to deal with. From the beginning, Tabitha knew exactly what treatments and cuts to give my hair to make it healthier. I found Tabitha originally at a different salon, but she was worth following. My hair is in the best shape it's been in in years. Thanks Tabitha! read more
