The first red flag (that I ignored) was that the stylist refused to provide any kind of estimate for time or cost. I trusted her and the process and now, just returning from my fourth visit and more than a thousand dollars lighter, I wish I had never set foot in Salon Piper Glen. I was very upset after my last visit but because we ran out of time and the stylist was working on another client already, I decided to wait until my next visit to address my concerns. Rather than providing a solution, the stylist had two answers: 1) I was my fault for not speaking up in front of her client or calling the next day and when I mentioned that the lavender color I asked for was not applied to the proper places, or really applied at all... 2) it would've washed out anyway Which is NOT the point. The point was that it was never applied to my hair to begin with. There are so many ways she could've handled things to salvage the relationship or at least so I wasn't furious when I left, but rather than saying "this is what I can do for you today to fix it, would that work?" When I told her my budget she just shrugged and then charged me full price for a haircut and let me walk out the door in tears. At one point, I even said, if I were you, I would've at least offered to tone my hair and reapply some of color I asked for (again, not for free, but within the budget I was willing to spend today). But it just came back to how it was all my fault and how the color would've washed out (had it ever been applied). Reddit told me to go to Bishops. I wish I had listened. I hate confrontation and should've just not returned. Instead I had the most uncomfortable, miserable, depressing hair appointment of my life. BUYER BEWARE!

The salon itself is a dreamy, welcoming space--chic, serene, and full of vibrant, joyful energy. I was greeted with refreshments, made to feel completely at home, and could instantly tell that every stylist there truly loves what they do. There's a passion in the air that's impossible to miss. And my hair? STUNNING. I'm honestly still in awe. Mallory's work surpassed every expectation. I left feeling like the very best version of myself--and isn't that what we all want from our stylist? The salon is gorgeous and located in the heart of South-End, so pre and post-salon treats are at your fingertips. I always look forward to catching up with the front desk staff, and I am never without a full beverage and a good conversation from the moment I walk in to out. Over the years I've worked with a handful of KK stylists who not only consistently crush working with my hair (record-breaking confidence alert), but will also teach me how to style and maintain my hair once the salon sparkles have washed away. I also love that I never feel sold but educated to make informed decisions. We talk about angles, lengths, routines, hair care, and products - and I never feel sold or pressured into anything. I have seen a massive transformation in my hair in the last five years, and I owe that all to these stylists. It's worth every penny and minute invested. Although each stylist is unique in their approach and rank (junior/senior stylists), as a client, you can see that regardless of those factors you are getting a dedicated, quality experience with real people who are passionate about what they do. Five stars doesn't feel like enough! Pictures included are from every time I have left the salon :-)

My stylist tried her best to use boiled water, but she still had to use cold water to rinse out the shampoo and finish the service, which made me very uncomfortable. What was even more disheartening was the owner's complete lack of concern. She didn't acknowledge the issue or apologize for the inconvenience, making me feel undervalued as a customer. I appreciate my stylist's efforts, but the overall lack of customer service from the owner was unacceptable. I do not recommend this salon to anyone, especially with that owner in charge. It has been almost two months since the service was complete. I have reached out to William Henry…read moreseveral times in the last four weeks with no return call. To start, I had issues making my appointment. I was out of the country so I had my mother call and book with April. Later I was told April is not accepting new clients. After this, I booked online with Lindsey. That appointment was canceled due to my request for ombré. I was sent an email offering me an option for another stylist which I was not comfortable with so instead they just outright cancelled THAT appointment as well. I didn't know this until I called to confirm (when I got back into the US) the day before only to be told I had no appointment. The woman answering the phone told me CeCe was good with color and was sure she would do an amazing job so reluctantly I booked with her. The day of the appt CeCe was on time and pleasant. However, I brought a photo of the exact look I wanted. This is where the problem began she began to bring ME swatches asking ME what I thought of such and such color. She stated she saw purple in the photo! I didn't see it, but I'm not a stylist either all I can do as the client who flies airplanes for a living (mind you I don't go out and ask other people what to do to do my job properly) she was asking what do you think if this color? I brought a PHOTO I want that. So finally she settled and began. CeCe painted three inches of my root color a burgundy wine color! It was BLOCKED not "melted" Then the overall color was reddish not brown like the photo I showed which was beautiful brown with melted caramel highlights in it! I was shocked and even that day in the salon I said my roots look odd. She stated it was the light. It was when I got home and took photos that I could really see what had been done! I called the salon and CeCe agreed to correct the mistake two days later. That day I took my mother with me in case it was me not communicating what I need effectively. CeCe was defensive and it made me uncomfortable. She actually argued with my mother in front of the salon causing a bit of an interest for other coworkers to watch. She "corrected the color" which pretty much took me back to my original color and then when it was done she said "Oh I had to cover the ombré part because of what you ask me to do" I was VERY clear that was the ONLY part I liked!!! The color was not right but I told her I loved the dimensions. The day I went in for correction, she did not charge but I don't expect someone to work for free either so I purchased shampoo and conditioner and put a tip on top of that. I went home and when I finally washed my hair the color WASHED OUT!! So I paid not once but TWICE to get not a single thing I wanted and to lose the one thing I liked about my hair!!! I reached out stating the color was not what I ask for and in addition, the distinct wine color used at my root was unflattering, harsh and in some spots actually made me look bald. This whole process has been extremely upsetting but what makes the matter worse is I've now contacted them several times with no response. Clearly they do not care. If you are looking for a salon this is not the place!!
