It came with a variety of cheeses, cured meats, dip, crackers, fruits, veges and sweets. The perfect mix of everything! I was really impressed with the variety of items. I especially liked how some of the items were more unique and not something I would have tried otherwise or would have thought to put in a picnic had I made it myself. I highly recommend! The box I got was 75 plus taxes and tip. Definitely worth the price. It was convenient, great quality, items were fresh and presentation was so beautiful! Ordering was easy through their website. I opted to do pick-up but did see that they offer delivery for an extra charge. Pick up was seamless and the owner was so nice! I definitely will be a repeat customer whether it's for another cute picnic or for a gathering!

Tasty, is an understatement. Their food is always so delicious…read more I have eaten their food on many different occasions. From our company's BBQ, to the Ribfest in Brampton and recently a bridal shower. It seems every time I have had an awesome meal and asked who catered it P and P catering was the name they told me. I recently catered my parents 50th wedding anniversary and didn't have any ideas about menu. But I knew which caterer I wanted. When I called I spoke to both Paula and then Tina they gave me menu ideas and I went with the souvlaki dinner. Peter delivered the food to our house and everyone was so amazed at the quality and quantity of the dinner. Chicken souvlaki, rice, potatoes, Greek salad and yummy in my tummy tzatziki. It tasted like we ate food made from a Greek grandma from a small village in Greece. So authentic. Thank you to the staff at P and P your food was and always has been DELICIOUS.

Yes. Just yes. When…read morewe chose to have our wedding at the Rosehill, we booked the site and then started talking to caterers on their preferred list. Most of them were really pricy for uninventive menus and were unwilling to budge much. We were willing to scrap the bells and whistles but even so, we felt like we were hitting a dead end. After getting the okay to talk to vendors off the preferred list, we found Noble based on a positive Chowhound review and contacted them. Tina, the sales manager, responded with a quote that was very reasonable and fit within our budget. My in-laws did the initial tasting in September 2009 and had great reviews, booking Noble on the spot. Most of the correspondence was between Tina and myself. She was very responsive, very realistic, and helped guide us towards having a great menu. The only real question was whether the food would measure up to everything that our in-laws said was scrumptious. Day-of, Tina was on the ball and we arrived at the venue with the set-up looking great. She made the table settings look classy and un-fussy and was totally on-the-ball. The hors d'oeuvres during cocktail hour were amazing. We had fries with spicy mayo in a cone, tuna "chopsticks", sliders, and caprese skewers. The dinner service was spot-on. She made sure that each person got the right meal (since they had to choose upon RSVPing) and was on the floor making sure that the service was seamless. And holy moly did the food taste fabulous. The main entrees we had (choice of steak or salmon) are ones that can be easily messed up in large quantities. Dry salmon, overcooked meat, mushy entrees? None here. The salmon was moist, flavorful, and complimented very well with the caper smashed potatoes. Each piece of steak was perfectly cooked to a medium-rare. The lobster mashed potatoes (according to my lovely husband) were heavenly. I have never seen so many licked-clean plates at a catered event in my life. That's all I gotta say about the quality of food. My in-laws ended up deciding to add (at the last minute) some late night snacks which were also quite yummy. The only thing I thought was a bit off is that they wound up ordering enough for the whole wedding. Since it was late-night, it's pretty standard that only the big dancers will be around for the whole evening, so it was a bit strange that they weren't persuaded to order enough for half of the group (which was something we had seen on other catering quotes in the past). As a result I don't think there was food prepared late-night for a group of 100 since it wasn't being consumed that much. I wasn't part of this discussion so I don't know why so much food had been ordered but if it were my decision I would have insisted on ordering less food for late-night (or none at all). That one thing though is so minor and the service and quality that we got from Noble is just a-maz-ing. After talking to Rosehill staff afterwards we heard that they too were impressed by the service. Now if only I lived closer and could get my hands on some of their food more often...

But better still, was how well they executed at our wedding this past weekend. Wow. All of our guests could not stop raving about the food and it made the night. My school gets Santaguida Fine Foods to cater for some small to medium-sized events and everything…read moreabout it is absolutely wonderful. We usually get a variety of sandwiches (Roast Beef, Grilled Chicken, Egg, Vegetarian and maybe one other), cookies and/or other sweets, 1-2 salads, and coffee. They also make custom sandwiches in catered events for people with dietary restrictions! All the sandwiches are made with what I think are Ciabatta buns, sometimes whole grain/wheat. The bread is a bit thick but I guess that is what ciabatta is and they also load the sandwiches with a good amount of meat. From the two sandwiches that I've tried, roast beef and grilled chicken, they are amazing and the meat is complimented with lettuce, tomatoes, roasted red peppers and cucumbers. The salads (I am unsure of their names) are very good as well. I'm not a big salad/veggie eater but they definitely had me coming for more. Personally, I don't really like the cookies and sweets that Santaguida serves, they are a little bit on the sweet side and the flavours are interesting. Despite that, I can tell that they are made with quality ingredients and my dislike stems moreso from personal preference rather than it being bad-tasting. The coffee that Santaguida serves is surprisingly good - good enough to drink black. I would say it is definitely better than Tim's and McDonald's. It is pretty surprising because it comes in a giant black-plastic container and you don't expect catered coffee to be good (as usually it is something catering companies just do to make extra $$ and then they end up half-assing it). The only thing holding me back from giving this place 5 stars is the price. I don't pay directly for any of the catered events nor do I know how much each platter or event costs (their website is also terrible and useless). I would expect it to be relatively expensive

I'm so happy that my first review of the year is a 5-star review!…read more Each year for New Year's, my husband and I just pick up a shrimp ring and a box of mixed hors d'oeuvres from the grocery store. This year I wanted something different... something special. A charcuterie board! Yes. That would be perfect. I was searching around online and found Charcuterie Pickering. They were close, their website was beautiful but most importantly, the reviews were great. I thought at first that they might be a better option for our corporate events but then I saw that they had all sorts of options available, large and small. I couldn't find a price list online so surely they're going to be too expensive for what I was looking for but thought, what did I have to lose by requesting a price list? I reached out via their website and Maria was quick to respond to my query. Much to my surprise (and happiness), the prices were reasonable. Since it was just for my husband and I, I opted for the small 10x10 box. Charcuterie Pickering accepts payment by etransfer and credit card (by phone). As I was paying by credit card, I had the opportunity to speak with Maria directly. She asked about allergies and preferences. Thankfully neither of us have any food allergies and because of that, I didn't want to limit her creativity by choosing any preferences. I wanted her to know that she had complete creative licence and mentioned my love for blue cheese so even that would be welcomed... you know, on the off-chance she may have some laying around. (Okay, so maybe that was one preference I was hoping she would include.) We scheduled our pick up for mid-afternoon on New Year's Eve and she came out to meet us at our car. Honestly, at first I was amazed by the weight of the box but as I peaked through the lid, my excitement grew! It was so hard to wait until later in the evening to have it and truth be told, we did dip into it a couple of times along the way. Our box included an assortment of meats, fresh and dried fruit, crackers, olives, jams, jellies and even honey with the most adorable wooden honey dipper. But there she was... tucked into a corner... the most glorious looking blue cheese! To be fair, that blue cheese was the reason why I couldn't wait and ended up sneaking a couple of bites early. Everything was absolutely fabulous... especially that blue cheese! My goodness, that blue cheese! Picking through the box was like a little food adventure... trying everything, in every combination. It was beautiful. It was delicious. It was perfect. I hope to make this my new New Year's tradition.

Facility: I agree with the other reviewer that the place isn't presentable the way other restaurants are, but then this place is mostly for catering. I tried the DiNics with fries and gravy. The DiNics is their pull pork sandwich with onion and spinach. It was pretty good; I wish they had it in flat bread because I thought the bread kind of over powered the stuffing. Other than that the DiNics was delicious. Their fries were okay but it was their gravy that made the fries amazing. The gravy was just right and complimented the fries.. I probably wouldn't enjoy the fries as much if I didn't add the gravy to it. Verdict: A must try!
