Every time I come here I find that the average demographic leans a bit older so I'd like to share with younger people especially if you like to cook with hard to find ingredients. This place is especially great if you love making Italian dishes and baked goods like me and don't want to drive all the way out towards Mississauga and spend more than anticipated at other specialty stores, or even somewhere like Fortino's where you get charged an arm and a leg for certain produce and meat. Everything here is so fresh, and I love that they sell their prepared handmade pasta at the hot table for CHEAP. I got one serving of their handmade tortellini in alfredo sauce for just $6.99 and I was able to make two meals out of it without any extra sides or drinks. I haven't tried anything else because they had already closed most of the hot table when I got the tortellini but what was still out looked really good. Their desserts are pretty good too, I prefer their cookies over their cakes as I feel I've had better elsewhere, but nonetheless have a great selection with good pricing as well. Highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area, I feel like even if you came in without the intention of buying something, you'll still manage to make a purchase of some sort lol.

My boyfriend and I went with the Ossobuco Gnocchi Poutine. Being Italian, I didn't know what to…read moreexpect from it. CAN you deep fry gnocchi? Yes, yes you can. The crispy gnocchi were coated in cheese curds and smothered in braised veal. What a combination. The gnocchi were not heavy, like others I've tried. They were lighter and absolutely deep fry-able. The veal melted in your mouth. Instead of gravy the jus from the veal did the trick. If you told me I'd be eating a gnocchi poutine last week, I would've said you were crazy. Apparently the Arancini is to die for. At least I know what I'm getting next time!

So I've been trying to jump on the food truck bandwagon but I keep falling off all the time, mostly…read morebecause I find the food too greasy and they want to charge me an arm and a leg for just a small ride (portion). While at Celebration square on Canada Day, there were various food trucks, the likes of which I've seen a million times (fg, Smoke's, Per Se, Beaver Tails, etc.) but I had never heard of Frankie Fettucine. I saw they had 6 selections, which included a couple kinds of poutine (osco busco was one of them), bacon mac n cheese and sundaes. I decided to get the Bacon Mac N Cheese for $10 as I just had poutine earlier in the day. This was one of the best Mac N Cheese's I've ever had. The pasta seemed like it was hand made, the bacon was flavourful and the cheese, OMG!. This was not your normal cheddar cheese. I think it was Parmesan and it melted so perfectly. I have to say, this is one of the few food trucks I felt I got my money's worth. Verdict:: If I see them again, I will definitely give them another go and hopefully let me ride the bandwagon.
