The doctor never asks questions or shows concern for the patient. He comes in, says what he needs to say, and then leaves without checking if the patient has any questions or needs more information. He never really checks on the patient's condition. The patient bed is just there for decoration -- patients don't even get a chance to sit on it. First time at this clinic and will be returning. Diana was the front desk patient advisor. She was very professional and helpful during my visit. Greeted and thanked every patient that came in and didn't waste any time helping multiple patients at once in the order they arrived and went. The clinic is very clean. Short wait times. If you're new to the clinic and it's your first time, let the patient advisor know. She'll provide you with a new patient documents. Wear a legit face mask and they'll check for temperature and hand sanitizer. My visit required many checkups. Be prepared and clear of what you need. Clear communication is key. Also working in the health profession there's a protocol so come prepared with documents and questions, be clear and honest about what the visit is about. Every doctor has his/her style and adjusting and adapting is key to get at visit. After reading these negative reviews 1 star is pretty bad. If you're looking for a doctor to listen to you about your concerns, to take the time to really assess you and give you the best care possible Dr. Pham is not someone anyone should be going to. He disposes his patients like as if he's throwing out garbage, not caring to actually take his time with each and every one of his patients. What's even worse is the way he treats his Medical Assistants, I'm sure these girls worked really hard in school to be able to work under a good doctor and unfortunately they got stuck with Dr. Pham, he speaks to his MA's as if they're dumb and don't know anything when it's these girls who run his office and they are the reason that patients even come back. Dr. Pham has total disregard for how he makes people feel with his very unprofessional behavior. Going through his Yelp reviews, only one person had something good to say about him other than that everyone who has gone to this doctor has had a bad experience, it's a surprise that he hasn't gotten his practice taken away. Mind-boggling to see this man still in business and with a license. I had a horrible experience with this man, outrageously long wait. Extremely dismissive of what I would explain to him. Even his staff got the short end of the stick, he would talk down on them in front of patients. I am sure this man practiced well when he was younger, now a days he seems too old and bitter to practice medicine. I could not imagine working for a man like that. I am glad I was able to get better insurance and a different doctor. Firstly, my mother and I've gone to seen dr. Pham for 10 years. He is EXTREMELY pro medication. You can literally get any and every prescription from him without any type of proof. He is NOT kid friendly, so if you have children... RUN. If you ask him simple questions about your health, he responds in a condescending manner. He expects you to know the answer as if you went to med school. My mother had issues with her kidneys prior and during her time seeing him. He prescribed a medication to her that would negatively affect her kidneys regardless of her condition. She is now on dialysis due to kidney failure. read more

I found this provider in a booklet provided to me by my insurance company. I had the insurance company assign him as my primary, I waited for my appointment, called the insurance company to confirm that he was covered, went to the office- waited in the hot, stinky waiting room that doesn't have a fan and was thereafter shown into an exam room. Dr. Pham came into the room and asked what was wrong. He seemed pissed off. I explained that I had a chronic pain condition, for which I required a referral to a pain management physician and that I had just been diagnosed this week with gout and prescribed Indomethacin. I asked if he could refer me to someone for that as well, as Indomethacin can cause peptic ulcers and doesn't actually *treat* gout, as it is an NSAID, not a glucocorticoid (since it was prescribed in the ER, which is not responsible for longterm care) and because I believe that my condition has resulted in kidney stones and I would like a specialist to confirm and/or treat them, if that happens to be the case. He muttered something incoherent about how he did not take my insurance and recommended or otherwise commanded, me, "You go to Golden Valley." And walked out. I didn't know what Golden Valley was, because I am new to California, let alone Modesto and he didn't have enough time to explain it, because his waiting room was full of no other patients. Presumably I was taking time away from him from making airplane noises into his stethoscope. The office staff were nice enough. I called the insurance company to inform them that their plan is no longer good at his office, to file a complaint and to outline my experience. Then I booked the soonest appointment I could find with another primary. In one month. Do yourself a favor, find a doctor who has better taste than to wear mis-sized, polyester trousers and a perm. More importantly, find one who values your health enough not to waste your time. read more

WORST DOCTOR IN MODESTO BY FAR!!! He needs to be shut down, he really doesn't care about his patients at all. He literally walked out on me while i was speaking to him and said "change doctor, i no give you no pain medication" i have muscle spasms and am in constant pain, even asked him to refer me to a physical therapist if necessary and he ignored me. Honestly he is of big concern because what if he has a patient with serious issues and lets it go by. He literally falls asleep in he middle of the consultation!!! This doctor is only good if you already know what is wrong with you and only need him to order more refills. If you have anything wrong with you that requires a doctor's undivided attention, I recommend you go elsewhere. Our family stayed for a few years because no one had anything major wrong, we just needed check-ups and refills. I realized we would never know if anything was wrong because this poor man does not seem to know anything. It is unwise to gamble with your health because it is easier to accept any doctor. Pham assesses each patient by quickly skimming his stethoscope around their chest in a move that appears to be listening to the heart and lungs. However, after a half-century of having doctor's listen to my heart and being present for all my family's doctor visits, I know they usually pause in an area and listen. Pham does not. Most of your office visit is spent waiting (about 45 minutes). The rest is the doctor performing the vague gestures described above and him charting on his laptop with his back to you. He never really looks at you. Period. He is very soft spoken with a thick accent that is difficult to understand. He murmurs (almost to himself) about you then walks out leaving you more confused than when he entered. Our final three visits, were Pham and his personnel bringing us back to find a specialist. Mind you, I specifically told them I will find my own if they would only provide the referral. They insisted each time they would contact one for me and let me know later. They then scheduled me to revisit in 60 days. After three visits of this cycle, we left the practice. You should run like heck when your doctor orders you to reappear, then asks you why you are there at each appointment. read more

He will come in not speak a word and listen to my heart and lungs for a split second and say ok your good. I always have to tell him " can you sit back down so I can tell you why I am here".
