Similar experience to one of the other reviews mentioned **physical checkup** Reached out to her office for a lab work for the annual physical check up. They happily provided one and we set up an appointment for the check up itself once the report from lab work would be available. Next I get a surprise. Get a bill from my insurance for a doctors office visit (I didnt make any office visit except collecting a paper for blood work). Reached out to the office and the receptionist said please email our office manager (Fact check: there is no office manager, its the doctor herself). The doctor called me and said they need to pull my records/file spend time to write a lab work so its considered a service. She even went on to say, a patient is suppose to come in person for physical check up first, then we order blood work and then we set up another appointment for follow up. I recently moved to Tracy and was and was skeptical to get good doctor but after meeting her, I can say she is one of the best in Tracy. I've been a Kaiser patient most of my life, so when I found out that my husband's job would be switching insurances to a PPO, I was devastated. I had a hard time navigating the new insurance system and I was convinced I'd not be able to find a doctor comparable to the amazing doctor I had at Kaiser. I found Dr. Sachdeva on Yelp. I thought all the positive reviews must be a gimmick, but I thought I'd check her out, especially because she used to be a Kaiser MD. I'm so glad I did. Dr. Sachdeva listens like she really cares. Once you get to know her, she remembers details about your life and family, and that's rare. I suffer with chronic health conditions and am often skeptical of physicians, so it can take me some time to trust a doctor. Dr. Sachdeva has been wonderful at helping me manage my health issues and finding different ways to do that. Her office is simple and she's not open every day, but don't let that put you off. She's available and returns calls quickly. Plus, they always have treats (like individually packaged Madeline cookies) and newer magazines in the lobby, which my toddler always appreciates! Dr. Sachdeva also listens to my toddler's heart every visit, humoring him, and asking him questions. It's the little things (and the big) that let you trust a physician. I appreciate the doctor's care and treatment but the office worker(s) give conflicting answers. Over a year ago I was looking for a new doctor and asked Dr. Sachdeva's office about prescription policies, specifically if I had to see the doctor every three months and they said NO. I remember this because this was one of the reasons I was looking to change doctors. FYI, my prescription is just regular meds, not things people abuse and get high with. They also said to me recently "you can have your insurance call me" I was explaining to them that I do not have a co-pay and the office lady thinks that the insurance company will call them. that is laughable. They do not give refills on prescriptions, they expect you to have an appointment to ALWAYS get an refill. It is really sad because the doctor does a nice job. read more

My virtual visits with Dr. have been very positive, she listens and wants to get to the root of the issue. When she is with you during the visit she is very present and focused on your situation. Dr. Sachdeva has been my doctor for nearly 3 years now and has been wonderful. The staff is always professional, and my appointments are kept ontime. When the doctor enters the room, she's always greets with warmth that's genuine. You feel like you're talking to a friend that listens and cares about your wellbeing. She has never harped on me concerning my habits, making it easier to be honest with your doctor... which is a good thing. I have been searching for a compassionate, caring PCP and Dr Sachdeva Satvinder is now my PCP. On my first appointment she listened to my symptoms and was able to prescribe my medication. Usually that is all I would have received from my prior PCP, but not Dr Satvinder. She asked about my overall health and asked about any prior lab works I have done and results. She suggested to get current lab works to check cholesterol, thyroid, liver, and iron. This proactive attitude from my PCP is what I have been waiting looking for. She was not only kind and patient listening to me, but did truly seem to care. She even opened earlier on a Saturday for me. Yes, she is open some Saturdays too! She can be accommodating to people's schedules if you call and talk to her. Since I have no insurance, there is a monthly payment program that works for me - just ask about it. I will start my review by saying she is one of the best drs I have ever had. I am 29 with asthma. Last year a visit was $20 per, this year $100 per. Dr wants to see me every 3 months in order to keep my inhalers refilled. Next year my insurance will not be covering the cost of prescriptions till deductible is met. I can no longer afford to see this dr. on her schedule. 3 stars reflects the headache I had getting my inhalers refilled recently. Took 3 days, but they did refill them with out a visit. Being in my 20s and in relatively good health I do not understand why I need to see them every 3 months in order to maintain a prescription for something I need like an inhaler. Now with my insurance change I can no longer afford to think about these headaches. I will be finding what will likely be a worse dr, but one I can afford. Thanks. read more

This is an updated review based on my original review from 2019 on Google. I will start off here by adding what I missed on my updated Google review that she is the one doctor I saw that prescribed me the correct pain medicine and didn't just throw ibuprofen at me. With that being said, that's the best we got from Dr Sachdeva. Back in 2019 I was seeing Dr Sachdeva because I was having terrible leg pain that turned out to be herniated discs/sciatica. I was seen often as the pain was unbearable and I couldn't walk without assistance. Dr Sachdeva makes you feel great in the beginning as she says she treats you like family and is there to help you. Sounds great until she denies assisting you because you've seen her too much. I'm not sure how her family is but my family would never deny assistance because it has been asked for too much especially when the reasons are due to a health problem. My husband ended up seeing her as well as he injured his foot and the injury caused an infection on his foot causing him to be unable to walk without assistance too. But because between my husband and I seeing her so much (which is not what we wanted. Believe me when I say we would much rather not lug ourselves and 3 children at the time to the doctor's office so frequently, all while in the worst health condition.) and having to contact our insurance so much, she had an issue with it. Why? I don't know exactly because her reasons didn't make sense. It was something about insurance or whoever/whatever it is looking into her because we filed for a medical leave for my husband to assist me, and then asked for short term disability later on for my husband when he injured his foot and couldn't walk. There was nothing unethical about us filing for disability or taking a medical leave. Our insurance is great insurance. We have no track record of ever filing for disability or medical leaves until that time. We were truthfully in a really bad position. I'm not sure if she thought we were trying to abuse the system but that would never be our case. We are a single income household and no kind of state or government help would ever cover the cost of all we need to pay or match 100% of what my husband makes to keep us afloat. We would much rather be able and not disabled. We would much rather our normal routine of going to work, happy, healthy, living our day to day lives. But during our time of (the most) need, she turned us away and refused to assist us any further. We decided to leave her and find another PCP which we did and she was AMAZING. She suggested disability before we even mentioned it and still pushed for it after we mentioned that my husband was just on leave for assisting me not too long ago. She felt for us and seen how much pain we were both in and was willing to help us in anyway possible. Unfortunately our new doctor relocated and more unfortunately I'm going through another herniated disc. Against my better judgement, I decided to contact Dr Sachdeva's office again to see if I can get a refill for some pain medicine that she once prescribed me. To my (somewhat) surprise, I was told by the receptionist that there's a note to not establish me as a patient. I didn't leave her practice rudely nor did I ever get out of character with her even when she refused to help us. Talk about a smack to the face when I already didn't want to contact her office. Don't let these 5 star reviews fool you. I left her 5 stars on Google after my first visit also. But after each visit, her rating in my eyes was decreasing each time. Dr Sachdeva is fine and dandy when it's minimal help that you need. Of course she always has availability, she's a small and totally outdated office, so I wouldn't give her 5 stars just for that. But if you're looking for someone to be there for you for the long haul, regardless of what and how many medical issues arise, she is not who to see. Save yourself some time and find a doctor that is willing to help you NO MATTER WHAT. One that actually CARES for their patients and is in it for the long haul and doesn't turn you away when they (oddly) feel they'd get looked into for helping you. I would not be surprised either if Dr Sachdeva even tries to make a rebuttal or retaliates in some other form for me leaving a bad review on her. Doesn't seem out of her nature to me now. Dr. Satvinder Sachdeva is an awesome doctor. My husband and I had her as our primary physician since her Kaiser days. We lost her when she left Kaiser. But now, when our insurance changed, we are happy to have her again as our doctor. She is VERY caring, takes time to listen to her patients, and very thorough in explaining our condition, medications and options. She makes herself available when the situation calls for it. I have had 3 previous primary care physicians, 2 of which always gave me a run around, would always be in a rush and would not take out time to listen. I am so glad recently I decided to do some research and found Dr Sachdeva. Half my stress and problems seemed to had gone away just through my first visit with her. I hesitantly emailed her not expecting a response, however, to my surprise I got a pretty quick and sweet response from her. I have chosen her to be my primary care physician and have already had two very constructive visits. She is very caring, understanding, compassionate and a fantastic listener! You can also tell she has great passion for what she does. My husband and I had an Appointment today at 5:20, there were couple patients in front of us. Another patient walk in at around 5:30, the receptionist brought her in at 5:50 and told us she will be right with us. I asked the receptionist if the other patient had her appointment before us she said yes that it was at 5pm and that she had called that she was running late. IM SORRY YOUR 15 MIN LATE YOU NEED TO RE-SCHEDULE OR WAIT UNTIL THE APPOINTMENT PATIENTS ARE SEEN. What bother me more was that the receptionist had no professionalism she laughed like saying "either you wait or you can leave". That's what really bother me most!!! I have no issues with the doctor. But the receptionist should have communicate that the doctor was running behind on her appointments. Suggestion to the Doctor please advice you MA'S or receptionist to be more professional, and to communicate. Upon relocating to Tracy, CA we were in search of a PCP to work with our family. I cannot emphasize enough how much we appreciate the care that Dr. Sachdeva offers. She is empathetic, knowledgeable, focused, respectful, and unbiased, not to mention available (and on time!) with regard to appointment scheduling. Dora, her administrator is polite, thoughtful, and professional as well, which is extremely helpful with regard to scheduling and payment. In sum, Dr. Sachdeva's nuanced approach to diagnostic and therapeutic management of medical diagnoses is beyond measure and compare with regard to previous experiences.
