Three years ago my husband lost all vision in his left eye and suddenly out of no where he lost 80%…read moreof his vision in his right eye. We made an appointment with his optometrist in San Jose who said everything was fine and you have nothing to worry about, it's just an episode. Not feeling good when we got home my husband decided to get another opinion. He went online and found a local optometrist who was Dr. Robert Wolff, MD, he contacted him and explained his vision loss and Dr. Wolff scheduled him an appointment two days later. Dr. Wolff was very pleasant and professional. I couldn't believe how thorough Dr. Wolff's exam was. He performed test after test after test and when we walked out of his office we felt confident his diagnosis was on point. He insisted we go right over to the hospital emergency with good reason. The emergency room doctor spoke to Dr. Wolff and they was in agreement as to what needed to be done. Blood work as well as a CT Scan confirmed Dr. Wolff's diagnosis. Thanks to you my husband won't lose the sight in his only good eye. I cannot tell you how much we appreciate your making yourself available to see my husband when you did. Given the appointment time you scheduled, 5:00pm I am certain you deliberately stayed late so you could examine my husband knowing the seriousness he was facing especially on a Saturday. We thank you for all your help including following up on Sunday as well. Doctors like you are very rare and we appreciate everything you have done for my husband. Thank you ....

I have only ever worn bi weekly's and never been told my other doctors they were not safe. After my exams were done here, she told me to try daily's. I told her I would try them, but would most likely go back to bi weekly's since they are more cost effective. She ultimately told me they don't carry anything other than daily's but to try the daily's and if I don't like them to come back and she can fix the rx. I agreed but later that day they only sent my glasses rx and withheld my contacts rx. I called and they said they would not be able to give me the bi weekly rx. Had I known they were not going to allow me to get a bi weekly rx, I would have never done the exam with them! Be mindful of this before you book with them!! They ended up giving the rx as a "courtesy" but that was after days of trying to resolve this. They were also trying to charge me an extra "fee" because I didn't bring in my old prescription. But after I told them I purchased glasses through them, they were suddenly able to find the prescription in my file. I was also told I should buy drops and hard contacts. Just felt like a cash grab the whole time I was there. 2 stars bc front office staff was pleasant when I was in office! Wouldn't recommend...at all

If not for his staff I would have recommended this office to others** The fact that the receptionist at this office is completely rude is the reason for the 1 star rating. Maria has no empathy for the patients when a mistake occurred by the lab that they send glasses to get fitted for lenses. I my mom took frames that she had previously used to save money since her lenses were about $450, and the lab lost the glasses...and according to them it was a whole box that was lost. In speaking to Maria she told us to pick and new frames that would now have to be purchased at full price and did it really matter that they were lost since the frames were already used. So I asked to get a refund on the amount I paid for the lenses and she told me I would have to wait for the doctor (who she had previously told my mom was not in, but I called back in less than 5 min she told me she had just gone in with a patient). So I asked approximately what time the doctor would be back Maria's response was give me your number to which I responded I am at work so would like to know an approximate time so I could be available and one again her response was "your number" and we did this a few times until ultimately she hung up and I had to call back to inform her of the disconnect because I could not believe that she would have intentionally hung up on a paying customer, which it turns out she did do. The lack of empathy and caring Maria showed during this situation is completely baffling as she works in an industry where dealing with people and having at least some level of customer service etiquette is necessary.

I gave it to them but told them it did not cover eye exams and I was going to pay out of pocket so I handed them my Visa and was charged $65. Two months later I get an invoice for $180 "Comprehensive eye exam" charges denied by my medical insurance. Why would they try to bill my insurance since I told them I didn't have it and when I had already paid them? I have gone round and round with the billing department, their reasoning is "why did you give them (the office) an insurance card" I thought it was to get my personal (HIPPA) info from. I had no idea they would try and charge me twice. This is really unfortunate as Dr. Sharma is a professional and a good doctor, however the staff and billing practices will end up getting this office into a lot of trouble.

My glasses are broken, I need to see for 2 days, to please help me. He told me no and to go somewhere else. If one of his family members, mother, grandparents, or father needed some contacts for an emergency like I do, would he tell them 'NO' ? I know he has extra, after getting an eye exam for contacts always be given a free trial of contacts. He's not honest, and not trusting!!! He always seems like he's in a hurry with the eye exam. I never see him wash his hands, use sanitizer wipes on the equipment after using.
