I will definitely return to this exquisite gem on my next visit to Paris.

We found Le P'tit and when we inquired if they would serve us they said yes if we ordered immediately. It was a few minutes after ten. We ordered at the bar then were seated at our tables. The waitstaff were incredibly nice. They brought whatever we needed including ketchup which, despite being American, we didn't want or need. :) The food was delicious. I had an almost perfect poached egg -just a little too cooked. They had a fair amount of vegetarian options for the person in our party to get a decent meal: eggs, salad and beignets de mozzarella, which I hate to burst your bubble in advance, is a very French and more appealing way to say Mozzarella sticks. They were still good for the record. Perhaps everyone should call them that and aim for that level of taste. Fried just right and a fair amount of cheese. I ordered the duck legs-no complaints there. It was tender and the side of potatoes weren't the top of my list for the evening but there was more than enough of them to share with others. The chocolate fondant was voted best dessert by the table. It won no contest. I'm glad we stopped in for an authentic food experience.

This place was okay, located in the Paris area yet somehow not very accommodating to tourists? So weird. Anyways, my friend and I came in here after a day of traveling and were starving. We wanted something light and decided to try the cheese that everyone talks about, and it was pretty decent. The prices were a bit wild (like everything else in Paris), but I guess that's what we get for stopping into the first place we saw on the street. The menu is pretty eclectic, so don't expect to stop in here with children and be able to get a grilled cheese and fries, it's more of that stuff that people in America eat when they come into some wealth and acquire a new money accent (you know the type).

We booked over the phone while on the Bateaux Mouches river tour as we were tired and hungry after a day of sightseeing and we wanted a neighborhood bistro for great unpretentious food where we could stagger back to our beds around the corner after. It was late when we arrived but the bistro was still bustling, our server was super friendly and the food came super fast, which was great as we were ravenous by then! We ordered what was probably one of the cheapest bottles of red wine on the menu but it was so much better than anything we pay twice the price for at home... because hey we're in France, right? Excellent food, friendly people, great service - couldn't ask for more, go there! Side note: walking past next day on way to the metro we were in need of a bathroom and the barman was so nice to let me use theirs even tho I'd just walked in off the street: I made sure after to thank him for the amazing dinner night before so he knew I'd been a customer and most important, the loos were nice and clean (again not the standard in much of Paris!) which was great as you know what they say about clean toilets = a clean kitchen!

It was hard to choose a place, but we went with this spacious, open-aired restaurant, basking in the glow of the setting sun. I opted for their Steak Frites, which was already butterflied on the plate. It was tender, but rather light on flavor, which I've noticed to be the standard French fare. A huge dose of fresh cracked pepper was in order, and on the creamy shallot sauce as well. The thick wedge fries were quite good, but I never turn away a fried potato. My friend's brioche toast and my creme brûlée were nice, sweet endings to the meal. We were originally headed to an entirely gluten-free restaurant, but after doing a little more research and seeing some not-so-great reviews, we decided to find something nearby instead. Baroche wasn't exactly the pasta moment I had envisioned for myself in Paris , but we made it work! We both ordered the fish and chips, swapping the fries for salads. The fish was good, and overall we enjoyed our meal. The restaurant itself is really cute, with plenty of both indoor and outdoor seating. It has that classic Parisian café feel and is in a great area for grabbing a bite and continuing your day or evening. Now...the service. Absolutely awful. Our server unfortunately fit the stereotypical Paris persona people warn you about -- rude, brusque, and generally unhelpful. He did recommend wines for us , but even then, his tone came across as condescending rather than helpful. There was very little warmth or hospitality throughout our meal, which definitely put a damper on the experience. Price-wise, Baroche seemed comparable to the other Parisian cafés and restaurants we visited in the area, so no surprises there. Overall: cute atmosphere, decent food, terrible service. Would I rush back? Probably not -- especially with SO many other cafés to choose from in Paris.

The escargo was perfect, no sand or acidity. The muscle was same, fresh filled with buttery sauce. They offered extra bread to soak up the liquid of heaven.
