They explained what was wrong with the car clearly. They showed what could potentially wait a little longer to save money.

We were in and out for an oil change in no time. They didn't check our tire pressure as we were…read moretold they would. The people under the bays did not like the car next to us and they kept complaining about the car. It was very unprofessional. They also did not offer to reset the car's oil change light. It could have been better but they got the job done. One other thing, it was gross when they insisted on tapping the credit card on their own with their oil gloves on.

I've been struggling with how to rate and review my experience with this location of Valvoline…read more I'll start off by saying that Valvoline is my preferred oil change spot. I'll go out of my way to use Valvoline, though I don't live particularly close to this location. I pulled up to this three-bay location. It was clear that on a warmer than usual day with the sun out that this location was doing a brisk business. While I'm typically greeted upon arrival at Valvoline, on this day I wasn't greeted until it was time for me to pull into the bay. The employees were friendly. Andrea, who is an assistant manager, was clearly engaged and active with everyone. I really like the option of staying in the car. I stated I wanted a Conventional oil change. It's the low-end option, however, my car is older and it more than suffices. I opted for windshield wipers and I had a $10 off coupon. The wait was longer than usual, however, given the brisk business I expected that. It was fine. Once I was in the bay, things went fairly timely. They did seem to have difficulty changing my windshield wipers. Andrea made a point of noting the cuts she'd gotten on her fingers. As I'm a Valvoline regular, the option of e-mailing my receipt was offered and taken. In theory, things went pretty well here. However, I'll admit a couple things bugged me. One, while parking in a bay I heard the assistant manager talking to an employee about going home when he was able. The conversation went that he'd been unable to stay to a time she needed so, essentially, he might as well go ahead and go home. I obviously know nothing about the employee, but I do know that HR conversations shouldn't be had within the listening ears of customers. Even if everything was perfect, it "sounded" rude. The experience also seemed to me a bit overpriced. Maybe it's not. Maybe it's perfectly fine. But, the oil change is typically around $39.99. I paid around $96 total. So, I paid over $50 for windshield wipers? Plus, I had a $10 coupon. Unfortunately, this also leads to the fact that I never received the receipt via e-mail. My e-mail is correct in the system - I regularly get e-mails from Valvoline. So, that's not it. As I'd already had an issue with the swiping of my card, it just makes me a bit nervous to not turn around and get my receipt. I don't know. This definitely wasn't a bad experience. It just didn't rise up to the usual Valvoline experience. To her credit, and it must be noted, Andrea was friendly as was the other employee. However, these little things distracted from the experience. If I could go 3.5 stars, I probably would lean that way. Unfortunately, I can't. In the absence of that option, I'm acknowledging that this wasn't quite a miss, but it was a rare off-day for Valvoline. I'll definitely use Valvoline again, however, I'll likely stick to my more preferred locations.

I called him the first time and he came out and failed to complete the repair and wanted $130 bucks and promised to come back and repair the problem. Then it snowed. After the weather was better I never heard a word from Antwoine! I called him and he came out and again he failed to repair the car. Claimed he would ensure better communication and didn't! Haven't heard from him since. I DO NOT recommend his services. Extremely unprofessional and does not know the courtesy of a phone call and will not do what he promises. I can understand busy schedules but a phone call only takes a minute! The only reason I'm not giving him a big fat 0 is because I had to give at least one star! He won't be in business long so use him at your own risk!

When I texted at 12:25 PM asking his arrival time, he said he couldn't come due to weather--even though it wasn't raining--and then pushed availability to next Thursday, which doesn't work for me due to a scheduled surgery. He has avoided completing the work he was paid to do. I paid a $100 diagnostic fee (with the understanding it would go toward repairs), and we agreed on a $450 total. He later increased the price to $750 without justification. I have invoices showing the originally agreed work and costs. He also failed to properly diagnose the issue, which could have included a simple code reset and pressure test. I even provided proof from AutoZone showing no parts were purchased for my vehicle. Overall, this was unprofessional and unreliable service. Proceed with caution. When he told me he was only 19 years old it all made sense. Please do not use his guy, but if you do know he is just a back yard mechanic.

While there's one closer…read moreto my home, I was in the McCordsville area today and decided to stop in and get an oil change even though it was just a wee bit early from my due mileage. While it should be obvious from the name, this is an oil change location and not a full-service mechanic. That said, they do offer full-service oil changes, battery replacement, headlight/tail light replacement, transmission service, differential fluid replacement, tire rotation, fuel system cleaning, windshield wiper replacement, air filter replacement, and fleet service. If I remember correctly, this is a 3-bay location. I pulled up and was taken in right away. This is a somewhat set-apart location in the outer parking lot of a Meijer with a brand new Crew Car Wash around the corner. There's also a small strip center across the parking lot with a Noble Roman's, Great Clips, and Verizon. The employees here were friendly and helpful. They did everything a full-service change offered at a fair price. I was in/out in just a few minutes. As a wheelchair user, I always appreciate when I don't have to get out of the car. Because this is a nationwide chain, they were able to pull up my records. I appreciated that. I also appreciated that they aired up my tires as I had one running a bit low. They were having a film discussion - I'm a film critic, so that was kind of cool. However, they were also super focused on what they were doing and doing the job well. This location was clean, professional, and in good repair itself. Overall, this was a positive experience and I would easily return. While I'll generally stick to the one closer to my home (Glendale area of Indy), I won't hesitate to come back here when I'm in McCordsville. As a side note, Valvoline frequently has coupons on its website that can help reduce the price a bit.
