I was 10 minutes late and getting my dog. My cell phone died and I was stuck on the freeway and I did arrive late. They've kept my dog inside and would not let me take him out. He had no food no nothing there was no after service and I would not recommend. I think this is terrible that I did not get charged a late fee or you know there was some other type of consequence but to keep my dog in and keep him overnight is unacceptable and I have removed my dog from this facility. read more

Our little man is very picky about the people around him, yet He always gets so excited whenever he goes there. When we picked our pup up from a weekend stay at this PetSuites location, he was practically the happiest we've ever seen him! That really says a lot when you throw in the fact that he's a rescue with a history of anxiety, and he sometimes doesn't do well with unfamiliar situations. Booking here was super easy, especially considering we were making a reservation pretty last minute when it comes to dog boarding. I did all of the scheduling online about a week prior, but then ended up having to call a few days later to extend his stay a day. The girl on the phone was so friendly and helpful that I would have zero qualms about calling them back with any additional questions. When we dropped our doggo off for the weekend, they were able to check him in quickly, while dealing with several other customers as well! We dropped off hard copies of his vaccination records, but you're able to upload all of those online as well. I really appreciate that they spent time cataloguing all of the toys and bedding we brought in, so they could ensure we'd leave with what we came with. Any good dog owner knows that there are some toys that are extra special, and it would be catastrophic if we lost those. We booked the Classic Suite for two nights, with a bronze playtime package. I love that there are opportunities to customize your dog's stay based on their preferences - our pup likes playing with people more than with dogs, so we were able to request individual playtime for him, rather than a big dog pow-wow. Check out was pretty quick and easy, as well. We spent just over $100 for this weekend stay (including tip) - I don't think this is bad at all when it comes to boarding, but being a pet parent really isn't a cheap venture. Note: this rating occurs before my pet has actually stayed here. This review is based on my visit and tour of their facility prior to confirming boarding reservations for my dog. The location is convenient - right off of the 71 at Donaldson highway, and a charming drive across a little bridge and up the hill to their parking lot. I made a reservation on their website after reading about their various boarding options. They also have doggie day care. I received an email confirmation right away with instructions to provide vaccination information to them. I called the next morning and they answered the phone right away. I asked if my reservation was in their system, and it was, and if I could come over for a tour of the facility and to pay my $25 deposit, which is required for each reservation. The deposit is refundable if the reservation is canceled seven days or more in advance. The $25 deposit will be applied to your total stay when you pay at pick up. I toured the facility and decided that the luxury suite would be best for my 10-year-old female bichon frisé. With the luxury suite they offer the option of playtime with the other dogs, or individual play time which would not include other dogs - either way it is one 20 minute playtime per day (in addition to potty breaks). Luxury suite cost is $53 per night. Classic suites looked spacious enough and would probably have worked, but since my dog is getting older I thought the luxury suite with a little more space might be best for her. Their hours are 6:30 AM to 8 PM. Drop off any time on the day your reservation begins, and pick up by 12 noon on the day of pick up. Note: there will be a $20 late fee if you pick up after 12 noon. They do offer a silver package which includes the option to pick up after 12 PM and will offer an additional play time during that day. I liked the facility, the people, and the dogs I saw in boarding today appeared to be happy. I boarded my dog for the first time ever recently and it seemed to have gone well at this location. Unfortunately I can't ask for his opinion, but he came back to me just fine, as did all his belongings so I figure it was a success (despite the fact he's getting older considering he's 9 and he's not a big fan of other dogs). I called once during his 10 day stay and they were able to tell me that he had been eating his meals, doing his "business" and enjoying his requested solo playtime. A ten day stay is admittedly pretty pricey but it seemed comparable to other facilities based on my limited knowledge. read more

We have brought our senior dog here about 6 times now. His stays are usually 4-7 days at a time. We include a grooming appointment too, so he is always clean and fresh when we pick him up. We pay extra for group play which he loves, and I recommend to keep your pup entertained while he's away from you. The facility is clean, bright and welcoming. It's more expensive than the last place I used, but well worth it for the quality. Their phone-in customer service to make our appointments is always a speedy, friendly experience for us. In-person customer service is also wonderful. Drop off and pickup has always been a breeze. I've only ever encountered friendly and helpful employees who genuinely seem to enjoy what they do. My dog had a great time but my cat came back completely traumatized and I ended up taking him to the emergency vet the day I got him back. He did not poop or pee the entire time he had been in boarding.. turns out he hadn't eaten either. He was stick skinny and seemed on the verge of death. He has since recovered. I was a new customer to Pet Suites. Coming from out of town I was unsure of what to expect, but I had done days of Internet searching and Pet Suites got great reviews. I may be a bit spoiled by my local boarder, because I'm used to 70% play time with other dogs (inside and out) as the norm, pictures being sent of my pup playing, and texts about what they had done during the day. Upon entering pet suites it seems clean and the staff was friendly. When I saw the sea of fences in a big warehouse like environment I began to be concerned. I didn't see the play area indoor or out. Rather than taking me to show me the play area or the cage/crate for my pup, I was assured by the staff that it was there... I was rushed in and out. I assume this is the nature of business when you're boarding several hundred animals, however I found it very unsettling. I paid for max playtime each day. This whole process was foreign to me, as I stated above playtime is a standard where I normally go. Part of the condition was that my dog pass a test to see if she could behave with the other animals. Since she is well socialized I had no concern, however the test was to be done after I had left. This leaves me with no way of knowing if my dog would be stuck in cage all day or not. Upon picking my dog up, she seemed ok. When I got her home, she slept and slept (like day and night for the next day). This wasn't like a I had a great time and I'm tired kind of sleep, it was a something is wrong or Ive had no sleep at all kind of sleep. None of this behavior have I ever seen before. Fast forward to a week later (now). My dog, who is and always has been current on all vaccinations, has kennel cough. Hearing her cough/sneeze and sitting with her in the bathroom so she can breath in the steam, is really heart breaking. I am especially upset because she's always been very healthy, so this again is all foreign to me. I won't be returning to Pet Suites. My dog lived and was fed, so I award a couple of stars. I am sure that I had an inaccurate picture of what to expect, however none of the above is what I want for my dog. If I am boarding her, it's because there is no way I can take her with me. While being boarded I want her to enjoy herself with new friends. Note to the die hard Pet Suite customers- there are different types of care available out there, which are comparatively priced and way more of an enjoyable experience. read more

Very disappointed. First time there they required my dog be evaluated for group play. But they failed her becuase she didn't interact with the other dogs and wanted the person to pet her instead. And the problem is? She wanted human attention? She's a lap dog who sleeps in bed with me and was lonely. duh! If she's not aggressive or scared then she's fine. The point is to give her a chance to stretch her legs and be out of the cage. Second time there I requested group play again and they said since she failed she needed to be evalutated again. What? So I pick her up after 3 days and find out they never evaluated her or put her in group play. They forgot to add it in the computer after we discussed everything. She spent 3 days in a cage with exception of potty breaks 2x a day. I also brought a bag with a few stuffed toys, a rawhide, and a kong with peanut butter so she would have something to do. They only gave her the rawhide. WTF?? She's in her own room so what's the problem? The dogs are in bright artificial light all day, with little attention, and left alone in the dark all night. I chose this place only to suit my flight schedule. Her normal kennel puts all dogs in an outdoor grassy area to run, play and do what they want. They send photos to the owners of the dogs playing. And they get tons of attention. Stick with the family owned kennels and not the corporate money makers who could give a crap about your dog. read more

When we leave town for a weekend or a week and can't take the fuzzy kids with us, we take them to Camp Pet Suites and we both enjoy our vacations. The staff is very friendly and helpful; we scouted the facility before boarding the dogs there for the first time and got a tour of the boarding area. (Highly recommended) There are options for size of the kennel, additional outside or play time and grooming. Your pampered pup can even stay in one of the special up-front "suites", complete with a bed and TV, showing Animal Planet, of course. During the preliminary visit the staff will also let you know what all you will need to bring in the way of vet records when you drop your babies off and on subsequent visits will remind you what record updates are needed before their next visit. It adds to our peace of mind to know that our kids won't be bringing any unwanted diseases or tiny livestock home with them. Our two dogs get along well enough that they share one large kennel (which saves some money) and are able to be fed together. We bring food, a blanket and a couple toys for their stay. The groomer has always done a good job with the little white terrier, too. He comes home bathed, trimmed and looking good; and they keep records of how he was trimmed so that we don't have to remember all the particulars. For cat owners, there is also a separate area dedicated to cats (you didn't think they kept them together, though, did you?). I cannot speak to that portion of the facility other than to say that there is a large fish tank with gold fish to keep them interested. The rate of $42 per day for the two dogs to share a large kennel is competitive with other facilities in the area, and while not cheap, we feel comfortable leaving the kids for a few days, knowing they will be well cared for while we are off enjoying people activities. read more

CUSTOMERS DESERVE TO KNOW THE TRUTH ABOUT THIS PLACE!! This place is nothing what you think it is!! Let me tell you the workers here don't give a shit about your dogs. This place is a nightmare ESPECIALLY under the HORRIBLE management that is Cortney Hinkle. I've never seen a more hostile work environment. Cortneys main goal here is power. She spends all of her time controlling and bullying the employees beneath her and not caring for the dogs. She hires people who are scared to work with dogs in general. Dogs would go unwalked and never be taken outside all day, dogs would get skipped for feedings and when you come to pick them up they leave the extra food in the back so customers don't find out about a missed feeding. Dogs with medication would either get skipped due to a lack of care or out right laziness. Dogs who required medication would not be supervised while medication was administered, more often than not the dogs would spit the medication back out and never take them. Even more concerning if boarded with siblings the siblings could end up eating them. ALSO when you sign up for individual play time packages your dogs only get "played" with for 10 minutes MAXIUM then stay in their room the rest of the day and go unnoticed. ANOTHER thing is if you purchase the package where they are in the town homes with TVs 99% of the time the TVs are never turned on. This Pet Suites in Erlanger KY is run on such poor management it is miserable to be at. I can't even imagine how it must be for the dogs that stay here. I would NEVER board my own dogs here. We have used PetSuites to care for our kitty and puppy 3-4 times a year over the past five years. Overall our pets are in good health and truly enjoy their time at PetSuites (in all honesty the dog loves it and the kitty ~ while being a very typical independent cat ~ allows her human caregivers to play, brush, and feed her until she returns to her home kingdom!) We recently went on vacation knowing that our dog (almost 13 years old) was on medication for a skin allergy prescribed by our vet only 48 hours prior to vacation. Twenty-four hours into our trip our phones finally came into Service Coverage Area whereby we had received several messages/texts from PetSuites that our pups personality and physical condition were becoming a concern. The last message we received was from Brandon stating that since they were unable to reach us he made the decision to address our pups declining health with a trip to the Emergency Vet where she was treated. They were back at PetSuites Erlanger, she was resting comfortably, and he would check on her regularly throughout the night. For the next several days they regularly kept us informed of her daily progress back to good health. While away you want your four-legged family members to be cared for with the same love and consideration as you provide ~ hands down we recommend and THANK the staff and services of PetSuites, Erlanger! Worst location and service around NKY for dog grooming. I booked an appointment 3 weeks in advance. I spoke with Favola, who could barely speak English let alone give correct instructions. Fav stated that the "drop off window" was from 7a-10a. She stated I would receive a call the night before to confirm my appointment. 1)That confirmation call never happened. So I kept my appointment as was there on time. I enter the "spa" at 9:45am. After waiting in a long line for 15 minutes (4 desk clerks at desk, several of which just stood there), I was told that my appointment was "filled in" because I was not there by 9am. Huh? I explained what my documented instructions from Fav were. I was told the "call center" handles "drop off times" for all PetSuite locations, and times vary. Not my problem. I would think a list of each location and instructions/drop off times could easily be printed for each call center employee. 2) No communication between "call center" and staff, incorrect information given to customer. I then asked for manager Ashley, she was not on site. Some kind of emergency, which I understand. BUT.... 3)NO MANAGEMENT of any kind on site. No one to handle a problem. 4)NO customer service skills from clerk/groomer to accommodate me/this mistake. I could see groomer through viewing window. She would not even make eye contact with me. C'mon Sissy, I specifically chose you as my groomer again! I was basically sent on my way, not even offered another appointment. Not good. If this place is going to honor walk-ins, please state that! It's frustrating to take off of work to groom your pet, following instructions given, arriving on time but appt is given away to a walk in. I don't do the walk in clinic scene. I completed the online application process to board my pets. I received a call later in the day from a PetSuites representative who confirmed my information. He then told me he would need my credit card information for the $25 deposit, which I was aware of and happy to do. The next day, I saw that the ENTIRE amount, which I did not authorize, was deducted from my account. I called immediately. I was put on hold for a good length of time. When the person came back on the line, she said it would be refunded in 7-10 business days. I cancelled the reservation. read more

TO ANYONE WITH A LARGE DOG: if I could give them less than one star I would! My parents went on a trip and we have a large male Italian mastiff and a smaller female pit bull, both dogs are incredibly sweet and we have kenneled them both at various places without any problems. I'm serious, they wouldn't kill a fly even if I told them to. This place had the balls to call my mother half way through their trip to tell her they would not be letting the mastiff out of the cage for the duration of her trip, nor have they let him out at all, because "they were afraid of his size and they are scared he's unpredictable." They were gone for a week! When my mom returned to pick up the dogs, pissed as all get out might I add, they told her she would need to go back to get him. When she did the poor thing was in a small cage, crying to be let out. They had been letting him use the bathroom in his crate and would push him out to clean it, then right back in he went! I am outraged and I will be telling EVERYONE this story. Oh, and they still charged us $29.50 a day to do that for him....... To whom ever this brilliant idea belongs to, and made the executive decision to lock my baby up like that F**K YOU! You should not be working with animals and I hope you loose your job over this. You're a piece of crap human being. Please, if you have a big dog take him literally anywhere other than this place. We will never ever come back, I assure you. read more

UPDATE: I submitted the below review text to PetSuites via their online survey. I almost immediately received an email from their regional director. She promised me that I would hear from them by the end of the day today. I received a call from the Erlanger location's manager around lunchtime and she offered me an appropriate resolution. I am likely going to give PetSuites another chance, as I appreciate their quick response to my concern. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I am sad to say that PetSuites has lost a loyal customer. I had been taking my Boxer to the Sharonville/Cincinnati location for the past seven years and had nothing but wonderful experiences. I moved and have been taking my new dog to the Erlanger location since adopting him almost a year and a half ago. He has stayed there at least five times. During one of his first stays the staff reported to me that he had eaten a clothespin (or a couple?) that holds his notes to his pen door. They indicated they would note his account and that they would hang a line higher up on future visits to prevent this from happening again. This was forgivable, as accidents happen and even we didn't know he could jump that high. I was glad to hear it wouldn't happen again. Unfortunately, it did happen again during a later stay. The same thing happened because they had either never noted the account, or failed to read the note. He ate another clothespin off his door. I was frustrated, but figured I would give them another chance. Tonight came strike three. When dropping him off last week I confirmed with the staff that a higher line would be hung in his pen to prevent any clothespin ingestion opportunities. Upon picking him up from a four night stay (totaling $165) I was informed that he had pulled his leash and harness down from a bin inside his pen and ate part of both of them. Why would the logic of keeping the clothespins out of his reach not be applied to the other items in his pen??? The staff provided me with a replacement leash and said they had ordered a new harness but it isn't in yet. So now I have to worry about him getting sick from eating MORE non-food items at PetSuites and I can't take him for a walk until they get the harness in. I bought the harness at the PetSmart a couple miles down the road from there. It would have been nice if they had just bought one there to at least immediately rectify the portion of the situation that could be rectified. And now, the icing on the cake... Seconds after telling me of my dog's most recent "snack" in their care, I see him darting out from the aisles of pens, no employee in sight, and neck-deep into the pond just behind the lobby window. As quickly as he dove in, he jumped out and continued his wild run about the pen area. A couple minutes later one of the staff members materializes with him and a towel. For those of you keeping score at home, I am up one wet, stinky dog with a belly full of nylon and fleece, and down one nice harness and $165. I was so upset that the pick-up process is a little blurry, but I'm quite sure that no apology was offered by the staff. They just matter of factly stated that he ate the leash and harness like it was just another day in the life of a dog in their care. I am glad they replaced the eaten items, but no compensation was offered otherwise. It makes me nauseous to think about the hundreds (if not thousand plus) dollars I have spent at this location just to be let down multiple times. I have already started researching alternatives for my upcoming boarding needs. read more

The staff and services offered are excellent. I have a dog with severe separation anxiety who hates being in a cage. I was apprehensive about taking him to a daycare because of all of his issues; however, after touring the Pet Suites facilities on two separate occasions I decided to try it out. It is clean, bright and the staff all seems to genuinely like being with the animals. My boy loves being there and it has helped alleviate some of his anxiety. He comes home happy and exhausted from the group play. The owners also provide foster care on site for dogs waiting to be adopted which makes me even more satisfied with the facility. I would recommend Pet Suites to anyone. They have been more than patient with my special needs boy and his overprotective owner! read more

Our pets have stayed here a few times. Never had a problem until our last visit. When we checked our pets in I told the person that the new building looked great because I hadn't seen it since it had been remodeled. The young girl didn't even bother to make any kind of remark about what I said. There seems to be major "attitude" with the people who work at the desk where you sign in. I am assuming they are high school or college age girls. This hurt my feelings because on the way back from our trip we even brought candy back for the staff. When we arrived to get our pets for the trip home, they claimed to have lost our dog's blanket and so we decided to just take one of theirs to replace it. When we got home we noticed that they must have never used his blanket lol because it was still in the bag!!!!! They never bothered to check! This week I was putting away our cat's toys and I found a pillow with catnip that wasn't even ours. What makes me upset is that I wish the staff would have just been nicer and took better care of our pets' items. I understand things happen, but customer service needs some work. We boarded our dog overnight while visiting my sister in Florence. The staff seemed to enjoy their job. The check in and out process was quick and easy. My only concern was I had left 6 rawhide chew sticks with directions written on the Baggie to give 1 three times a day. We didn't realize it until we after we left the kennel that there were none returned in his belongings. Since he was there less than 24 hours I would have expected to have at least three if not four returned. I'm just hoping they didn't really give our dog all of those as too many can be hard to digest. read more

My dog Louie loves PetSuites. We used to live in Fishers IN and frequented the one there. Then we moved to Florence KY and are now using the PetSuites in Erlanger. I don't hesitate to take my dog there. He loves it and it is so obvious they love the pets that visit. I have used PetSuites Erlanger many times with no problem, but this past weekend will be the last time my cat boards with them. He came back with flea dirt after being there for four days. I called to let them know so they could take appropriate steps and was met with denial and an offer to come buy some of their flea medicine. I had already used my own vet prescribed meds and I asked for a refund for that amount--significantly less than asking for a credit for the whole stay. The manager said that would not be possible. This kind of attitude will ensure that more fleas than pets will be boarding there in the future! read more

Our Jack Russell, Ody, has stayed with Pet Suites many times and the experience has always been great. They are so attentive that they even noticed a change in urination before I did which led me to the vet where Ody was diagnosed with bladder stones. We had been bringing our dog here for day care for about six months and she spent the night a few times. The staff is friendly and efficient with check in and check out. However, the cons outweigh the pros. We asked for the groomers to express our dogs anal glands while she was there for day care and that day we could smell that it had not been done. Just two days later we took her to the vet to have her anal glands expressed, again, and the vet technician reported that her anal glands were extremely full. With boarding, it is additional cost if you want your dog to get anything more than two potty breaks and fed. The final gripe that we have with this place is that our dog, on three separate occasions that we were informed of (who knows if there were more), ate and/or chewed on clothes pins that are used to hang information on the dogs' cages. I had started mentioning, when I dropped her off in the morning, to not put the clips on the cage and was assured that this information was in my dog's file yet she managed to get to at least two additional clips after it was a known issue. Again, there were positives about this place too, but I could not in good conscious send my dog here when it could possibly jeopardize her health and well-being. read more

Absolute worst experience boarding my pet EVER! Took my boxer to their facility for a weekend while I went out of town. He was in perfect health when I dropped him off and had gotten all of his shots from our vet a month before hand. After I picked him up I noticed he was coughing a little bit which slowly turned into a very bad hacking cough days later. I took him to the vet and he was diagnosed with kennel cough! He lives in my house and is never around other dogs besides my Mastiff that lives with me. My vet advised me that he obviously had gotten kennel cough from Pet Suites and to notify them about what happened. When I called, I talked to the so called "manager" Brittany. She could have cared less that my pet had gotten sick there and said "he could have contracted it from your back yard, we do not have a policy to cover pets that get sick at our facility." She laughed at the fact I wanted reimbursement for my vet bills! So now, due to their negligence I am out over $250 in vet bills for my boxer! He has since passed the kennel cough to my Mastiff which will need the same care. I have had dogs for over 25 years and have never had such a poor experience boarding my animals.
