We're on the hunt for the best dog groomers in Florence, and I think we may have found them! Heads up that if you're hoping to bring your dog in on short notice, this is not the spot to do that. I booked my appointment one month in advance, and re-booked for next time while I was in the salon, so that I won't have to worry by the time my doggo is starting to look a little scruffy. When we dropped Kody off for his appointment at 10 a.m., we noted the way the groomer interacted with him. She immediately went to pet him and give him love, while asking us what we'd like done. We felt comfortable leaving him with her, and would definitely do so again. 2 p.m. rolled around and I hadn't heard back from them ... so I gave them a call to see if Kody was done. I've definitely known groomers to be busy, especially before a holiday weekend, but 4 hours seems like a particularly long time. Sure enough, when I called, they said he was ready to go! When I arrived to pick him up, they said they'd tried to call me earlier and hadn't gotten through, but I didn't have any missed calls. They tested their texting system while I was there, and that worked just fine, so they made a note on my account to use that feature for our next visit. The prices are stellar as well - it was $74 for a bath, de-shedding, nail trim, and outline trim, not including a tip. They also dressed our fur baby in a cute little cloth bandana, which he just loves wearing. I think it's safe to say that we'll definitely return to Pawsitively Purfect! read more

I've been bringing our Persian cat to Pawsitively Purfect Salon for years. Every time we pick her up she was always looking great. Mila always did her best even though our cat was at times difficult. She took her time with her and managed to get the job done. I always left her a big tip on top of what was already an expensive grooming cut. THAT WAS THE OLD PAWSITIVELY PURFECT. After having our last grooming appointment cancelled and nobody rescheduling us we were finally able to get back on the schedule with Mila. Eagerly anticipating this appointment I even got all of our cats vaccinations the day before. Her rabbis vaccine wasn't due for two months but we went ahead and had it done anyway. I brought her in this morning a few minutes before her 11:00 am appointment. Although they took three dogs back ahead of me that came in behind me I was ok with that. A girl came out a little after my scheduled appointment time and asked if this was you cat Leia. I was surprised to see that it wasn't my scheduled groomer Mila and was given no explanation why but again I was ok with that. If this girl was going to get the job done then great. I explained that I had given our cat Gabapentin 2 hours prior to arriving and that she was feeling pretty good. I left to run errands and headed home. 1.5 hour later I received a call from the girl who was supposed to groom our cat and she said that she couldn't get her out of her crate and she was swatting at her. I told her that the crate needs to be unsnapped and she could lift her out. She replied well Ill try that and call you back. Moments later another lady called me and said we cannot groom your cat because she has swatted at her. She said that If she is aggressive at all then we recommend that you take her to the vet for grooming. I explained that our cat does not have claws and she cannot hurt you. I explained that I have been bringing our cat to Pawsitively Purfect for years and Mila has always done a great job. The lady (who I believe was the manager) then tells me that Mila doesn't work here anymore and maybe you can call her at Pet Supplies Plus if you want her to do it. I was absolutely floored by the unprofessionalism of this lady. Obviously its not by my choice, but I will not be returning to this establishment. I wish I could say that I recommend using this business but unfortunately, I absolutely DO NOT RECOMMEND Pawsitively Purfect! At least not for cats. Maybe you should change your business name to Dogsitively Perfect Salon. You obviously do not know how to groom cats. Thanks for treating a loyal customer so poorly. Bye. read more

Pawsitively is such a great place! I can not say enough good things about this salon and the staff. I am a vet tech and am very cautious on who I let groom my pets. Any time I leave my pets with the groomers here I feel confident in the health of my babies. They always come back to me very happy and of course beautiful. Make sure to call in and get your appointment. They can take your dog in for a nail trim on walk-in but you have to have an appointment for anything else. All and all my fur babies and myself love this salon! So happy I found them! read more

My normal groomer was recovering from surgery for 8 weeks, so I needed to find another groomer. I took my cat Momo in and was shocked when I picked her up. The cut was fine, but I don't believe she was washed and did not smell fresh. Her face still has gunk in the grooves and was told it was too hard to get out. Maybe the dogs look great, but this is not a place that specializes in feline grooming. I tipped $10, and my total was $78.00 This was literally 15 minutes from picking her up. read more

I have been taking my long haired chihuahua here for almost as long as I've had him (going on 6 years) and I have always been pleased with their work. He has issues with allergies and they give him a special shampoo to soothe his skin. Plus I get him shaved and they make him look adorable. You get a bandana with grooming as well. The employees are always friendly and professional and despite my dog typically not liking other dogs, he doesn't seem to have any issues going. I have taken my dog Jack to Pawsitively Purfect for a year or so. We have been going to Madison Patton a groomer there for at least 3 years. Place is always clean, you can see what they are doing right when you walk in. Jack always looks so handsome when he is done. Jack is a Coton so he has a tendency to get matted. Most groomers just want to shave him even in the winter, but Madison takes the time to get the mats out and makes him look like a big puff ball. So cute. I recommended Madison to a friend who has two shiatzus that had a previous cut at another groomer. She took them there and they turned out adorable. read more

Highly recommend this salon for your furry baby. The staff was incredibly nice. Our salon specialist was Kaitlyn, she did a great job. She took the time to chat with me about what kind of cut I wanted for my doodle-- she even went over each body party to clarify (head, legs, body, tail, ears, etc...). They had him in & out in a few hours and he looks/smells great. I noticed his nails were trimmed but a little sharp still & they offered to buff them out, free of charge, any time it was convenient for me to stop back in. Great place!! read more

I have taken Freya, my GSD, and my cat, Midge, a gray and orange tabby, to them twice. They did a great job with both of them trimming nails and Freya felt/looked wonderful after her grooming session. The folks at PP Salon are great with all of the furry friends that get dropped off with them for "maintenance ". I'm extremely particular of whom I allow to groom Freya as she is from a working line. Well, she actually leaps out of my SUV, and will sprint to the PP Salon door now. I would definitely recommend them to my family and friends. read more

I have trusted the team at Pawsitively Purfect with my senior rescue dog for the last 6 years. Not only do they always fit us accommodating my schedule, but they are so friendly and loving towards my dog who is generally afraid. In addition to her great grooming each time, I love that they do seasonal photo shoots (not just for Christmas), offer dog daycare, and support local dog events (like annual baseball game). Terrible experience. I explained my dog just turned a year old and is scared of everything and asking if we could work it out so she did not have to wait. I offered to call first and I was told there was a groomer with only one at 8:00. I get there, I'm told they "double book" their appointments and my dog would have to wait 2-4 hours!!! She was dosed to keep her calm at $20.00. I spoke to the owners and was told they do an "express" only at 8:00 a.m. For an additional amount of money. And it costs more for this service. I assume this is false advertising to snag you in. read more

I don't hand out 5 that easily ;) This place was great for our first time. After reading positive reviews on our FB neighborhood page, we took our 5 mo old golden doodle a couple of days ago. Due to a power outage they called us and say they wouldn't be able to groom him. When we picked him up they rebooked him for 3 days later and said it there would be no charge. Huge props for the customer service! Took him back today and explained to the groomer (who happened to be the owner) what type of style I had in mind - even showed her a picture. She had a few suggestions which I totally appreciated! A few hours later we picked our sweet canine up and he looked great! Just what we asked for. They even thoroughly clean his ears. Since he 'plays well with others' they let him hang out with the dogs in the daycare as opposed to crating him. He had a blast making friends and he looks so handsome.
