Made an appt to have my small dog groomed. They did a nice job so made a second appt 8 weeks out. On the way to the salon for my second appt., I rec'd a call that the groomer had not been heard from and no one could reach her so they had to cancel. Things come up so I thought I would receive a call to explain and reschedule. Nothing but I believe in second chances so made a new appt. This time when I showed up with my pup, I was told the groomer had not arrived yet but was on her way. Waited 30 min and then said, I'm taking my dog home. They said they would have Magen call when she arrived. An hour and a half later and nothing. Very unprofessional and just rude. All it would take is a quick call to apologize and explain. My phone number is on file, but nothing. And no real concern from the salon itself. I will not go back. Will not refer anyone and I told the person who referred me and she will not be back either. I pointed and asked the lady to not cut certain parts of my shih tzu's hair, asked for teddy bear face, got a traditional shih tzu mustache cut, asked her to shave off the inside and directly outside of the ear but she left them an inch long, she gave her bangs when i asked her to keep it long, she trimmed all around her face leaving an inch long hair and removed the ones i specifically asked her not to touch, i pointed out the stuff i can immediately spot and she came back saying my dog was being fussy and she can't fix the teddy bear face, been to this place for years but sadly im looking for somewhere else to go with my Izzy. read more

Horrible experience! I paid to have my doodle bathed and trimmed around her eyes and sanitary areas and was charged for a full groom and was told they had to shave her ears due to matting. They shaved her head and left my dogs body fluffy which looked horrible. When I asked for them to make her even all around and complete the full groom they charged me for, I was screamed at by the owner to the point I literally had to hang up the phone. No way I'd bring my dog back here. read more

This is a great place to take your dog for a quality grooming experience. I have been using Gentle Touch for around 13 years. I currently take my Pomeranian there and they always do a great job with him. He can have separation anxiety from time to time, but he enjoys going to his "spa." He sees Britney - she does an excellent job with him. The staff is very courteous and professional and they clearly love animals. They listen to direction well and are experienced with standard cuts for every breed I've brought in (terriers and now my Pom). And, most importantly, whenever I pick up my Pom from his appointment he clearly feels great! He is bouncy, happy and seems to be proud of how cute he looks. This place is by far the best dog groomer around! For 6 years now we have always dealt with John and he has always got our big old lovable English Bulldog in even at the last minute. Our Brody always comes home smelling so good and feels so soft. We have recommended this business to our friends whom also love their service with their Beagle and German Shepherd. Their prices are very reasonable, the time they take to groom our dog is also reasonable (especially given his size). I overall at first felt they did a good job, even though they originally gave me a price that was much cheaper then the price I had to pay when I picked my dog up. I would not have minded paying $90.00. The thing that upset me after I got home was that the groomer had cut my dog a Golden Doodle and she didn't say anything about it. It was pretty obvious because you could see where it was red and she was licking the spot. I had taken my dog in for grooming on 08/28/2020. I will not go back very unhappy and upset. read more

Never going back again. First time they clipped my dog they gave her such a clipper burn around her rear end she couldn't walk right for more than a week. This time they gouged her belly so bad I'll probably have to take her to the vet. I'm not very pleased and will not be going back. Her entire belly is a raw bloody mess from the irritation. I will never ever recommend this business to anyone. I took my Golden here and they completely left my dog feeling anxious and he looked incredibly scruffy. His fur was sticking up all over as if he hadn't been brushed. When I called to see if I could get another appointment at no charge the owner was EXTREMELY rude. I explained why I was unhappy and immediately the owner shut me down. He said that I was in the wrong, they did everything they were suppose to and that it is my fault. After about 2 minutes of listening to him tell me I was in the wrong, I finally ended the call. That was after the owner said I needed to drop my attitude and that I could call them back only then. I was really pleased with the way they turned out. Got to admit when I was explaining how I wanted them cut I was a bit skeptical. Like they really didn't know how a shih tzu was cut around the head and face. When I picked them up they were perfect, they were a mess and I hadn't been able to get them into a groomer and they were full of mats. Got them both looking real nice and even their bellies are perfect and around their private areas. Found a good groomer! read more

THRILLED that I started taking our dogs here! We had to jump ship on our old groomers (Spa 4 Paws; they are downright terrible) and find something quick. Our old Cairn Terrier, Barney, needs special attention, because he's deaf, going blind, scared of his own shadow. And gets hairy very fast! I called and made the appointment, after reading reviews and hoping they'd be as good as the reviews said they were. THEY ARE. It's in a superb location (on Mall Road), the owner is incredibly sweet, attentive and nice! And the gal who was going to be Barney's groomer that day came out to meet me herself. They were so kind during the whole process, I almost cried, literally. When I came to pick up Barney, he was not shaking, not scared, hadn't been hanged or 'whatever' happened at the old groomers.... he was happy and carefree. And it was a perfect grooming. They had to wash him twice (oily coat) and didn't complain about it, gave him the perfect cut. The other dogs I saw while I was there were also not nervous, it's funny how pets can pick up on humans feelings! Also thrilled to know it was CHEAPER here - which means I can leave bigger tips. =D My dogs are my babies! Our other dog, a mix of Shepherd, Collie, Heinz 57 and Weird, needs a 'summer cut' due to her super thick, bear-like coat; she's a wild one, but I'm very sure they can handle her. And boy was she happy to see Barney when we picked him up, she leapt to the front seat to give him a sniff! She approves and she's not even been here yet. =D read more
