This place is a total dump. When I walked up to the entrance there was an employee smoking, still dressed in uniform and apparently still on shift since he walked back in and I saw him continue to work. The stench of this store would indicate they don't make cleaning a priority. The stock of items is also lacking. Their dog harnesses were picked through and there was barely any single bully sticks available. I will not be returning here. read more

DO NOT BUY FISH FROM HERE. I don't know what happened to this location but they are just not keeping up with their aquatic section like they used to. I've had fish from this location since 2012 and they were perfectly fine. January 2018 I decide to start another tank in my house and wanted to buy more fish. There was algae caked to every tank, a fish literally died right in front of me, six out of the eight fish that I wanted I could not get because they noticeably had ick (which if your not a fish person ick is something you don't want to battle right at purchase) and the tanks are terribly overcrowded. Really disappointed in the decline of this store. read more

A horrible place to be I have never got here and not waited to leave the store at least 15 minutes at the cashier's. And I hope I have finally learned my lesson to never return here. I love going to this PetSmart the staff is very friendly specially a young lady named Liz. She's helped me in various ocassions. Everyone in the store calls her up when it comes to helping with medical questions and nutrition I believe she's a vet tech but works there as a Trainer now. My expirience with training is good we took our puppy here when he was 10 weeks and he's doing very well, I would definately recomend it. Store is clean and usually well stocked. read more

I've been to this Petsmart so many times over the past few years and the staff here have been nothing but nice. My Yorkie Bichon Allen and my Cuban Havanese Bichon named Tiana have went for grooming multiple times and come back home looking adorable as ever! if you have a small Yorkie (about 6 lbs) I recommend the TEDDY BEAR HAIR CUT! It's one of the cutest hair cuts you could ever get for your pup. The only problem I ran into at this store is that my Yorkie was attacked by a Pitbull Kind of Dog (Not a legit Pitbull but resembled one).. so please be careful with small dogs around big ones. They'll think of a yorkie as a chew toy.. The owners were sorry of course I'm just glad it wasn't worse than that. read more

If you plan on buying fish or any other aquarium animal, DO NOT GET THEM FROM HERE. Prior to buying fish from this location, I had kept goldfish for seven years. We decided to buy our daughter a guppy for her birthday. We are new to this area and decided to check out the local PetSmart. Within days, the guppies were dead. A few weeks later we decided to replace the guppies with neon tetras. The next day, all of the fish were dead; including the fish that was already in the aquarium (which was perfectly fine before). We explained the situation to the PetSmart staff and they refused to give us a refund. read more

Took both my dogs today to get groomed there. I got a call later that they were done and ready to be picked up. She mentioned that my one dog was difficult and that next time I should take him to the vet to get groomed. So I went to pick them up. Another groomer tells me the same thing and again how terrible my dog was. I go pay (I got a premium package. Paid $148 for 2 dogs). When I get to the car I notice that my one dog that was difficult hasn't been cut under his muzzle where I asked. I figured because he was difficult. Then I notice that his nails aren't done either! That's the main reason I even took him in. He didn't really need a haircut but I figured while I was there why not. I called to ask what happened and the girl says "oh yeah....we didn't get to do that because he was difficult". I said that someone should have told me that. No answer from her. Other than being scolded in front of a busy waiting area, my dog comes home not fully groomed after I paid for the full packages?! So ridiculous. The people that work at the grooming area are awful and rude. I will never go back there for anything. Terrible service. read more

Melisa is a fantastic groomer, she trims our Golden Retriever just the way my wife asks her to. She always smiles and treats our "Belle" like she was her own pet. Just made our third appointment with her and know we won't be disappointed. read more

Thank goodness for online companies and I don't have to deal with the very unhelpful people and overpriced stores like this. I bought a pet carrier and the clips came off. I called earlier and he told me where they got them. I googled it and tried a couple of the numbers - more ads etc. one was a pet resort. I called back and told the guy I was having trouble getting a phone number off the internet. His response was for me to google it. I googled top paw again. Saw where chewy sold them. Ruby looked around the internet and finally came up with an email address. She sent the email for me. Now that is what I call customer service and because of it, I'm going to order something and donate it to the rescue organization. Bye Petsmart you won't be missed read more

We usually have no problem with the staff, but tonight my wife returned a dead snail for an exchange and got nothing but a smartallic attitude from this guy who worked there. The girl up front was really nice, but this kid needs some customer service training. If we have to make another return I'm making sure I'm off from work and returning it MYSELF. If you don't like your job then find another one. Maybe in the county dump. read more

I have love this particular Petsmart. It always depends on management and employees. Everyone seems to have a love for pets and always want to help. Most of my visits are positive and great experiences us and for our dogs. The dog classes they provide are amazing. Grooming is okay. At times it's noticeable that your groomer does not know what your asking for. Overall I have been satisfied with this petsmart for over a year. Now I am moving and need to start the search all over. read more

Just went to the PetSmart in Woodbridge to buy supplies for our brand new puppy Sadie. I was very pleased with the associate that helped me Rhonda and the cashier Beya. Rhonda showed me exactly where to find the items I needed, she answered all of my questions and took her time. The store was very clean and everything I needed was in stock. These groomers are god awful. My mom took my dog to them to have him groomed while I was away at college, first of all, one of the groomers convinced her that he didn't need a flea collar as he did not have fleas. She subsequently removed and trashed his flea collar. He's currently infested thanks to them. There are absolutely no requirements for being a dog groomer there. Take your dog to someone who knows what they're talking about. read more

Terrible grooming service. Brought my dog a few weeks ago to get her nails trimmed and I came in today and they didn't have her in the system and told me I had to bring her rabies shot record again. So aggravated and disappointed. PUT ALL THE APPOINTMENTS IN THE SYSTEM. annoyed. read more

This is a great store, the employees are very helpful and knowledgeable. The only reason why I gave it only 4 stars is because sometimes they only have one cashier on days like Fridays or evenings when it gets a bit more busy. Other than that I had a great experience with the staff at the Grooming salon and my dog loves them, as well as the Aquatics section where they helped me pick out a new addition to my fish tank. read more

Good place to buy aquarium supplies, lots of pet and cat food, and toys and stuff but that's about it... The staff while some are friendly, others are really rude or weird.. Also the fish tanks are pretty badly maintained... They are like all petsmart and petco's linked together but their tanks always have ich... I got a horrible ich infestation that I have been fighting for weeks now that killed a lot of fish off... Never buy fish from here or petco.. instead go to creatures and critters read more

I haven't even brought my dog in for her grooming appointment yet and I'm already having second thoughts. I called a few weeks ago to schedule an appointment but because I needed it for a few weeks later, the lady I spoke to recommended I call closer to the appointment date to schedule it. she was very helpful with prices and services since I've never brought my dog there before. so I called just now to schedule the appointment for next weekend and the new lady I spoke to couldn't have been less helpful. her tone was dull, like I was taking up her precious time. she couldn't remember my phone number for the life of her and I had to repeat it at least 3 times, probably because she wasn't listening in the first place. when I asked about prices just to confirm what the last lady had told me, all she said was "uh, yeah." so because of the lack of customer service, I have a week to think about if I even wanna bring my dog in. but it's looking doubtful. read more

Just want to let you all know that a 3 or 4 week old Guinea Pig I purchased in December of 2013 died today. He stopped eating yesterday and his breathing was very shallow. He passed away during the night. Just want to say that all in all the service and products in this store are very good. But, when we got our first Guinea pig in April of 2013 the sales person was very knowledgeable and actually talked to us about the animal, let us hold him, etc. and he is thriving heartily. The one got in December showed little patches of fur missing (mites ?) and a slight wheeze, but we took him, more to get him out of there. The sales person told us nothing, just took him out, put him in a box, and handed him to us. Period. Please keep your people up on pet care. Make them aware that whether its a dog or a lizard, it is someones pet and that they should know all about the particular creature they are selling. Also, all of your creatures should be cared for much better than they have been. I have to bury my little guy today and perhaps if he was better taken care of while in your care this would not have happened. read more

It is Nov 2012. I went in to have my dogs nails trimmed. I got the dog in Jan 2012. They tell me my dogs rabies vaccine expired months ago. This is the problem: (1) a rabies vaccine is good for 12 months so my dog's vaccine will not expire until Jan 2013; (2) Pet Smart has trimmed my dog's nails at least half a dozen times since Jan 2012 and several times within the last few months; (3) they repeatedly asked me "do you have your dog's rabies certificate?" as if it were my fault and my responsibility they could not do the work. Even though they acknowledged a problem with their computers! Of course I don't have it with me. Do you walk around with your medical records in your pocket? (4) The last time I came in to get my dog's nails cut they were barely trimmed. I didn't notice it until I got home. I can't believe I paid for that session. I will not be back to this store. I'm looking at the Prince William County dog license right now and sure enough, the expiration date is Jan 23, 2013. read more
