He already had all of his shots & bloodwork done before we left AZ. One exception was his rabies because it was to early for him to have it. Firstly .. they shouldnt be doing cats at all as they only have one grooming room for both cats and dogs.. but when the associate pulled both of my adult cats out of their carrier and lifted them up by the scruff of their necks I knew they didn't have a clue... which of course caused one of my cats to flip out .. only to tell me my cat was too aggressive .. they do not know what they are doing.. stay clear! read more

Took my yellow lab there at 9 am this morning. They gave me a 2 hour window of completion for bath and nail trip etc . Their prices are very reasonable. They had availability the day before as I called on phone for appointment. The call taker in grooming was extremely polite and helpful . I Picked my dog up at 11 am and my dog was brought to me. She looked absolutely great. Clean and dry and ready to go home. I've used them before for grooming and they always do a great job ! I've gone here a few times for dog grooming, but this will be the last. My dog is already a bit scared of grooming, and admittedly he's fidgety when getting a haircut. However, this time they said he was so anxious that they couldn't finish the haircut (not charging me and stopping halfway). At first I thought, ok, sorry, my dog is anxious and they tried their best. I even tipped the stylist for trying. Then when I got home I realized that the reason he wasn't letting them finish grooming him was because they scraped up his butt and hurt him. Seriously, he was scraped raw. No wonder he was pissed and wouldn't let them keep grooming him--they tore him up. Naturally, there was no mention of this when I picked him up and they just hoped I would think the refund was enough and that it was his fault. I've been taking my Cairn Terrier to AnnMaureen for years. He's 15 1/2! AnnMaureen also used to groom my other little Cairn, Gillian, who passed away 6 years ago. Glenn loves her & she loves him. She does such a beautiful job grooming him. She was so happy to see him looking so well. Glenn is like a puppy. I had been stuck in Canada with the Pandemic for several months. But when Glenn saw AnnMaureen he knew her instantly. AnnMaureen is part of my family! A funny aside. When I dropped Glenn off to AnnMaureen there was an enormous dog on one of the front grooming tables. I think it was a mastiff and his name was something like "Harold", not sure. But he was the bell of the ball. His groomer said, "see he loves it when we pinch his cheeks" and he did! I just remember her with an enormous spray bottle doing the finishing touches on his coat. She looked so happy as she sprayed this enormous dog as did "Harold". I bet she was on her second can of grooming spray. He could have been ready for best in show. When AnnMaureen went past with Glenn I said see Glenn this is "Harold", "Harold" this is Glenn. Both looked happy to be newly acquainted. Love AnnMaureen. read more

We've been using Pet Smart grooming services for ten years (two dogs) It used to cost $100 to groom both including nail clipping and tooth brushing. It now costs me $80 for one because basic services are $50 and tooth brushing and nails are separate services. I received an email offering 10% off for booking a weekday instead of weekend. I picked up my dog and was told that there was a $5 premium because it was Thanksgiving week?? I work Thanksgiving week, I don't get a premium for it The prices have gone up, the service has gone down. Well be going elsewhere from now on. read more

We LOVE Amie! Glenn the old boy had his nails cut. Amie is like his second Mummy after 10 years or so....a long time! Precious, well she's a handful! She's a white malamute cross, white shepherd & has enough hair to stuff a mattress. Amie does some magic and Precious comes out sleek and clean. Yes, we're scheduling for every 4 weeks Amie! And Precious absolutely adores Amie! Everyone is so polite at the grooming in Woburn. There are always doggies there getting groomed, and their groomers are always talking to them ......."bob you're ok buddy, it's all ok, henry you're my sweetheart ". So I have a cat who takes pride in her coat. She's a Maine coon and weights almost 20lbs. She loves people! Although when I brought her in to get her mats removed (from summer weather) the hair stylist weren't the nicest to me. She's obviously long haired and doesn't enjoy the vet and things like that. But the stylist at pet smart are supposed to be professional and accommodating. When I went into the grooming room , there were 3-4 dogs being groomed. My kitty (Bailey) knows about dogs and doesn't really mind them as long as they don't get too close. (I have babysitted dogs in the past, and while they're on the floor, she just kinda chills next to me... as I said she loves the company of humans). Anyways, I went in to get a hair cut/ nail trim. The first thing that the hair stylist did was try to take her out of her cage and then goes "oh wow she already hissed at me". This lady acted as if she has never dealt with a cat before. You're coming at her with huge gloves and not a good manor (she seemed scared, even tho this is how cats act when in diff. environments) and she obviously smells so many diff dogs since the place smelt like it. Anyways I dropped her off and they told me 1.5-2 hours, 15 min later they contacted me saying "oh we could only cut two nails off of one paw" so I came back and thank god they didn't charge me for the "2 nails" they cut off of her. Besides the point don't go here if you want to groom your somewhat, stressed out kitty, you're better off at Petco/ mspca/ vet. I also went and got a trimmer at Petco and did it myself at home and she was just fine, and loved it! read more

I was excited to hear that this company offered doggie day care but was sadden when I arrived. When I contacted PetSmart and spoke with them at the hotel there was no mention that if your dog has a face that looks like a pit bull, he/she would not be allowed to enter the play area. The best they could do was to place him in an enclose all day with only a half hour of play time. I live an hour away from my job and there was no way that I could have taken him back home. Brand-new store, great prices, very nice staff, loads of parking, and the parking is what really lured me in, since the Petco across the street has a really busy parking lot that is just too aggravating. I took my dog in for a bath and nail clip at Petsmart groomers. They asked me if they could shave some of my dogs matted fur and I agreed. Only the next day did I find out that during his shave he got cut multiple times. That fact that I didn't see the blood on the same day makes me believe that the groomers tried to cover up that they cut my dog by cleaning off the blood and not telling me. If they had just told me I would have been fine with it since my dog was fidgeting but the fact that they didn't tell me is very inappropriate and unacceptable! read more

Since adopting our dog earlier this year, we have visited this location quite a bit. Although we do most of our food/toy/treat shopping on the PetSmart website, the store is well-organized and usually has good deals on various items. We mostly utilize the Pets Hotel/Doggy Day Camp here which our dog loves. The dropoff/pickup times are convenient and fit with our varying schedule (as early as 730 or so and as late as 845!). May always gets a Pawgress Report after her stay which tells us about who she played with, her bathroom business, and eating while at camp. The hotel is also easy to book and keeps our pup happy and safe when we go away. The front desk staff can be a bit rude at times, but most are friendly and love our dog! We have also used the groomer for nail clippings which are quick and cheap. read more

I don't usually leave reviews, but I felt compelled to today. I had to grab a new crate for my dog as I left my original one at my vacation home. Petco in N andover was closest to my work, so I ran there first. The smell upon walking in was horrific, and the store was a disaster, so I left. I drove out of my way from there, to go to my original choice. Petsmart Woburn was spotless and organized. I found what I needed, and also things I didn't because it was a pleasant experience and I spent extra time looking around. They always have the cutest toys I can't say no to. I took my cat to get groomed here and they said they couldn't control her and gave her back to me half shaved. My cat is a lazy Himalayan that is very small and loving, and now I have to spend hundreds of dollars at a vet for them to complete the job. I was also not impressed with the customer service I received when I called to complain about having a half shaved cat, as my cat is now picking clumps of hair off her with her teeth. "It was for the safety of the cat and groomers" what cat likes being groomed???? I'll never go back or recommend this business. Update: I took my cat to a different groomer and she was an angel while they shaved her, even kissing the groomers hands. read more

I have bought many fish here and taken awesome care of them. I feed them,aclimate,use proper water, use water conditioner, use a thermometer for the water and so many more needed things to own a fish. But they almost allways die very quickly. Took my cat here today to be groomed. Brush, waterless bath, nails, ears, etc. She is 7. I have been getting her groomed her whole life. At about 4 or 5 I started taking her to PetSmart because it was easier for me to get to and more flexible on times. I dropped her off as usual. I filled out the paperwork before hand online so I was all set. The groomer checked my cat over and told me it would be 1-2 hours. I left. 15-20 minutes later I get a phone call from the groomer. She said my cat "growled" at her when taking her out of her carrier. I said okay? What's the problem? She continues to tell me that I have two flags in the system of my cat being mean and that I was supposed to have her sedated prior to grooming. She then asked if I had sedated her. I said no why would I sedate her when I wasn't told to? No one called me prior to the appointment or mentioned anything to me while checking my cat in. She then says I was "told" back in October. I said well no I wasn't because I wouldn't bring her here if I knew she had to be sedated. Then she tells me she will attempt to groom her but next time I have to sedate her, but she had to wait for someone to help her with my cat. She then calls me back 10 minutes later saying she cut her nails but could only run the brush through her 3 times and I have to come pick her up. Also I get to pay for the nail trim! I came in and paid my invoice. $15 for a nail trim (that I can do at home myself, I was really going for the grooming itself) and I even tipped! She stood in front of me and ignored me when I came in to pick up my cat. She didn't acknowledge I tipped her or even say thank you or follow up with me about anything. I understand cats can be a bit more difficult than dogs. However, I find it very hard to believe she wasn't manageable seeing she's been getting groomed all her life. I won't go back here. I'm not going to drug my cat to get brushed and cleaned. I read other reviews on here with the same thing happening with their cats, I hope others stay clear!!!!! read more

The staff and manager of grooming is VERY rude! I have one small dog who is not allowed in the store only banfield! But because he bit an employee in the store that grabbed my puppy when he got loose in the store, my other terrier isn't allowed in grooming now! This is NOT fair to my other dog! I reported this to the store manager who apologized that this happened! But this is STILL NOT FAIR! And whenever I bring my dogs into banfield the groomer dept GOSSIPS about me and my dogs!! This is unacceptable and I will NEVER even shop at Pet Smart again because there is too much gossip about customers there!! petco is way better!!! Took my dog to get groomed and I payed 40 for nothing. He smelled good after but his ears were still very dirty, and they wanted to give up on his nail trim. He did fine for them once I came into the room, but they were just gonna make me pay $40 for nothing? Yikes. His ears are still really dirty I don't think that they cleaned them, and they didn't wash all the soap out either bc it's dried up around his face. I have been using PetSmart Woburn services (grooming and boarding) for over a year now and have never had an issue. I love their boarding services because my dogs enjoy day camp and with boarding, they get to stay together in a kennel (also this gives me peace of mind. Unfortunately one of my dog was attacked at another cage-free placed which will remain nameless and it really scared TS out of me). Their boarding prices are fair and I never feel like my dogs are not in a safe environment. They also don't smell terrible when I get them back. Grooming: My dogs would go to Amanda and she was amazing! She was great with small fussy dogs with napoleon syndrome (yes) but she has since moved on. Then we found Christina and Christina is just as amazing. They have an online booking feature that is great so I can book right from my phone or computer (plus it remembers what you booked the last time if you want to repeat a visit). I think their prices are fair and my dogs are in and out of there within 3 hours. If they are super busy, they always let you know that it may take a little longer. I live in Medford but I am willing to drive up to this location because of their great customer service, product selection and top notch service. read more

However...Went to pick up my dog in the Pet Hotel after 4 days we were anxious to see him. He saw us and was crying, she motioned to another girl to keep him back behind the glass door till my credit card went through, distrustful and tacky, but then it got worse. The girl checking us out never smiled, wasn't particularly friendly, ZERO personality, no Thank you, just handed our paperwork over then the dog and NO eye contact, no smile again, NO thank you!?! The review is for the grooming part of the store. (Summary: bad experience with my cat, employees were neither empathetic nor apologetic, wasted an hour) I called on Thursday, 5/28, for an appointment to get my cat a sani-shave and have his belly shaved for matts. The woman on the phone said they could take him on Monday, 6/1 at 8:30am, and that I needed to bring in paperwork documenting his rabies shot. They called me back on Sunday to confirm the appointment and reminded me to bring in his rabies paperwork. I showed up on Monday at 8:30am with the paperwork. The "automatic" doors didn't open so I figured the regular store opened after the grooming area did. I rang the after hours doorbell but nobody came. So I waited in the rain with my poor panicked cat until I realized that I needed to literally reach in between the doors and part them manually. Once I get to the grooming area I'm informed for the first time that I need to pay for them to trim his nails so they can "test his temperament". He just had his nails trimmed 2 weeks ago. I said okay because he's in pain from the matts and gross from dingleberries and I just want to get it done. Then they found out he has a heart murmur and apparently company policy is to not groom animals with heart murmurs. So they flat out tell me no and call a manager over. She reiterates that they can't do it and doesn't seem to care about the inconvenience she's causing customers by not telling them in advance. Throughout the whole experience it seemed like no one in the grooming department actually cared about me or my cat. I don't know what is going on there, if it was the weather putting people in a bad mood or if Petsmart just doesn't treat their employees well or what, but they seemed miserable and not empathetic at all to my situation. They were more frustrated that I was taking so long to leave than sorry for having put an anxious cat through this whole ordeal for absolutely nothing. read more

I used the PetHotel here so many times and my corgi puppy loves it. It is probably the only place where I'm known by my pup's name and the staff are extremely pet loving, they love my dog and gives him plenty of belly rubs when I drop him off for boarding. The rate is very reasonable and the hospital is on site and makes me feel safe keeping him there. My dog has separation anxiety and my experiences with leaving him with dog walkers had been terrible. But Pethotel is definitely doing something right, he comes home happier than I have left him and stays happy for the rest of the week. The only draw back I had is that there is no outdoor area so they all do their business indoors and after he's been there for a while he thinks its okay to do his business inside, which leads to embarrassing moments in Petsmart and accidents at home. read more

If I could leave zero stars, I would. The worst! I came in with the most adorable, slightly shaggy puppy in need of a trim, and he came out looking like a different dog. I went in with a sweet looking maltipoo, only to come out with an anxiety-ridden, completely unrecognizable dog. As far as a store, I like this place- they have everything I need for my dog. My review is for the grooming. I've been taking my 25lb dog here for a little over 2 years for grooming. A couple of months ago, someone I suspect is newer (he had never been groomed by her before) shaved his belly so close that they cut his skin. I tried to get in touch with the manager but after many calls, I never was able to. I left my number a few times, and no one ever got in touch with me. I took him back this past month for a haircut and a bath, and he came home with a note saying he didn't like them trimming his paws - well, no wonder - he has a cut on his leg that he has now been going after for a week! After being cut the past 2 grooms, we won't be going back here. And I still haven't heard from the manager. I don't know what's happening in their grooming salon, but it has definitely gone down hill. read more

Currently in a "positive" puppy training class and it is just not working. The trainer does not understand what that means. My puppy growls and barks at her because of what she did on the first class which was push his shoulders down hard to make him lay down. That is not positive training! I know that for a fact! Positive training 101: you are supposed to guide the puppy down with a treat in your hand and then praise him with more treats. (We learned that little tid bit from a trainer across the street at Petco, she taught him down in two seconds). However This current woman at Petsmart used to train dogs for dog shows or something (spent the whole first class telling us about her life story, hey lady we aren't paying you to tell us your life story and how you used to do stuff!) but you no what they she about you can't teach old dogs new tricks well... I digress... so this evening a puppy jumped up on her so she throw him to the ground, again NOT POSITIVE TRAINING! She did that not only once but three times and it gets better she even talked down to the owner!!! It was outrageous. I do have Also we missed a class last week due to snow and she said we have to catch up like the class(money) just fizzled into the air and we won't be making up said class. What a waste of money! Furthermore, it is a shame that our puppy is not getting the right training here and I wish we had gone elsewhere! I highly suggest if you are reading this not to send your puppy to this class! Really bummed out, we normally go here and it's been great except for today! I called to make a day camp appointment, they said no problem come on in. An hour later we went to PetSmart to drop them off and the girl says oh were you the one who just called, I said yes. She tell me that they are filled and that the dogs can sit in a kennel all day and get 2 15 min play times but that is it. So an hour after they said come in you have a reservation it is now filled?!!? Apparently when you call the number on the website that is a "local" number you get routed to Phoenix and that is how we got a reservation when the location is actually filled. What bothers me the most is that she knew they were filled and was waiting for us, wouldn't you call and tell me sorry we are filled BEFORE I drove all the way there?!!?
