This review is for the dog training classes only. Don't bother taking your dogs here! It was a complete waste of money and my dog did not learn a single trick. I understand that you need to do "homework" during the week but for the 45 minute (also, it's supposed to be an hour class but our trainer either always starts late or ends early), the trainer did little to nothing to help us with our dog, and there was only a total of 4 dogs in our class. Obviously we need help with training our dog, or we would not pay money to take them to a class! All she did was demonstrate on a dog who already knew the tricks, then told us to do the same with our dog, which we of course had a really difficult time with. Maybe if it was cheaper, but definitely not worth over $100 even for the 6 classes. Talked to my friend earlier too who apparently also took her dog to the same trainer before and she had the same experience, so it's not just my dog. Never again. read more

I took my French Bulldog for a bath & Brush. First red flag the employee just pulled my dog very rough when I dropped him off , I didn't say anything I thought okay? After I left I felt so I uncomfortable, I have taken him to other locations and I've never seen the employees do that. They are always very gentle and patient. After I pick him up, I noticed his ears were so dirty as if they didn't clean them and he was so agitated and thirsty. Then when we get home I see his nails and notice how horrible they "clipped" them I have never ever seen them be left like that ! I am so aggravated and hurt that my poor puppy had to experience this. Especially because these dogs are so delicate! lol read more

I have a cocker spaniel with are known for their skin issues... after hr second visit to the groomer her skin irritations were worse than they have ever been. She has insurance at the Banning field in side the store and they informed me that she had a fungle infection on her skin but they don't believe it was from the groomer, needless to say she never went back. We now have a leopard gecko and have gone in twice for mealworms. the first time they sold me a pack of half dead worms but admitted to it and gave e 40% off. I came back three weeks later hoping there stock would be better with no such luck. I want to continue to come back since this is the most convenient location but they seem to continue to fail my needs. read more

I've been bringing my dogs here for 5+ years and I've always been satisfied until yesterday. The groomer was instructed to do a teddy bear face on both dogs. It was done on one dog but not the other. They completely shaved the face of my Yorker mix - even his whiskers! Their groom was poorly done - they still have long hair in some patches. I just recently took my puppy for a grooming here. His first grooming. He was not scared. The groomers were very friendly and made him comfortable right away. I ask a lot of questions regarding his coat and hygiene because this is my family first pet. All the groomers were helpful & informative. I love this place. Their selection is great and they actually have a decent amount of CAT stuff that i can rummage through. I hate going into pet stores that cater specifically towards dogs (like cats are second rate annoyces rather than pets) I know i can be a bitch some times but i need love too. 3 stars because Marco is amazing, but minus 2 stars because they told us our dog cannot be booked on weekends because he is old. Not once have I seen any signs stating senior dogs cannot get groomed on the weekends. Not once did they tell us either, when we just took one of our 2 dogs a month ago. He has never had any issues with the groomers, except for one. Well all of a sudden they told us he cannot be scheduled. So now, I have to take 1 dog one day and the other another day when they had availability same day. What a wonderful inconvenience for me. They basically discriminate against senior dogs. How wonderful. Didn't think this was a real thing until now. I'm appalled that they even had the nerve to tell me that. I am going to find out who the manager is. I take my princess (Missy - our Lhasa Apso) here on a reg. basis. We even bought the1yr puppy plan from Banfield (pet hospital inside Petsmart). The people here are very friendly. The prices are good, place is clean. What is there not to like? Most of the time, you will see people their with the pets. You'll find me there with Missy from time to time. Most dogs are pretty tamed and we have yet to have any problems with any out of control pets. Sometimes you might have the ones that would sneak up on your dog and take a sniff of their butt. So, I of course reciprocate and let my princess do some sniffing of her own. That's just a dog thing. We come here for all dog needs (except for groooming - You gotta check out Sophies Wags to Whiskers - chk my review). Overall, Missy loves this store and that is a plus. =) read more

They are usually good, but this one time, I don't know what the problem was, but the service was not good at all. I have taken my puppy to so many different groomers and I have always had bad experiences. For the first time ever I met someone who is caring and gentle with my dog . Desirae really took care of my baby , whom is a handful when it comes to being groomed. I really appreciated how helpful she was and she gave my puppy the look I wanted. I have a hard time trusting groomers with my dog so it really meant a lot for Desirae to be as caring as she was with my baby and still make her look cleaned up and sharp !! read more

I could give zero if I could. My appointment was scheduled on Fourth of July and the store closed early that day. However the groomers wanted to go home even earlier so they asked me if I could come in earlier since my dog, Milo, was the last appointment they had. I thought it would be nice if I said yes, I mean it was a holiday. So I agreed to go in earlier. They did a half ass job! They didn't want to trim my dog's nails and he was soapy! At first I thought it was some oil for his dry fur and let it be. But when his fur dried it crusted up and my dog had sticky flakes all over him! That's when I realized it was soap! My dog doesn't even have thick fur, he's a beagle not a husky so that tells me they were rushing with him. read more

This has been the 3rd time in a row we have had time issues. We are usually told around 3 hours to get our dog fully cleaned, brushed, nail grind-ed, etc. On average its 4.5 hours for the process. They have too many appointments set and not enough employees to knock it out. $66 for the Furminator package. Dog was still shedding when we left. So we were told to bring her back in a few days (100 pd labrador) to get a free furminator brushing for 15min. We will have to do that. (Gina) is our pet groomer. she is very nice and caring. Now on the training portion we did this last year here. We learned how to emergency recall with her and how to use the proper leash for our dog. We ended up using a gentle leader. We taught our dog how to sit, shake, hug, kiss and potty train on our own. The class provided socialization and a few other neat tricks. 1st time owners or problem pet owners this is a must. My dog Beau is one lucky pup. He lives the treasured and spotlighted lifestyle each time we go to this place. Everybody offer him treats and praises him. Since he is one of very few Corgis that goes here, he is somewhat of a celebrity! People always cheer up when they see this tail-less, fox-alike, stubby legs hot dog! I am very happy knowing that my pup gets treated like a prince here despite the fact that it breaks my bank account with his medical bills and care taking. And why not??? He gets to go around the store smelling other dogs' urine and chasing tails! The great part of it all, I do not have to worry about it because it isn't my floor! MUAHAHAHA! Also, if you're a single man in search of a date, your local Petsmart may not be a bad place if you have an awesome puppy! Rule me out of it because I am tied-down. yupee... She was sprayed by a skunk the previous night and because she is an indoor dog, she needed to be bathed immediately. I explained the situation to CJ and she assured me she would do her best to get as much of the smell off as possible. I miss this petsmart when it was located down the street on Asuza. It was a lot bigger then and it had a lot more choices as well. Ever since they moved here to this shopping center, it made it a lot more convenient when I wanted to buy supplies but I can rarely find the supplies that I want anymore. They downsized their stock/inventory so much. But I do recognize the helpful people there. I come here for my dog food which is expensive no matter where I go but only a few places have it so that's a plus. There service was alright, but the groomer messed up my dogs lashes. I have a pure bread maltese not like shes a mutt or something. On top of that they didn't clean her ears properly, I had to go home and due it myself. One of her lashes is longer than the other. Summary: I went in today planning to purchase a flea collar for my little sisters' dog, since she's been scratching herself like crazy recently. However, I ended up opting for Itch Ease Medicated Shampoo instead. I figured that before I put a flea collar on her, I should ensure she doesn't have some kind of skin irritation first. I purchased Top Paw Itch Ease Medicated Shampoo, 64 fl. ounces. The dog shampoo was next to the vitamin section. Got a great deal on GNC Ultra Mega Superfood Complex Premium Formula Powder, 16 ounces; GNC Ultra Mega Multivitamin Plus Premium Formula Chewable Tablet (for Senior Dogs, 180 tablets). I used the $1 off coupon that I found in front of the vitamins. What Drove Me There: No advertisements. My little sisters' dog was scratching herself like crazy. Marketing music: When I came in, the lyrics to whatever song that was playing said that I have to be more active or something. While I was selecting the shampoo, another song began to play. When I headed towards the vitamins section, the store played this depressing song. I can't remember the titles of the songs and when I search for the song on Google using the lyrics to the songs, the name of the songs do not result. Otherwise, I'd state the artist and the name of the song. I'm not trying to perform a full search to provide this information. Overall, I don't like the marketing music. Customer Service: When I entered the store, no one greeted me. I greeted everyone. A very tall, older white (as in skin color) male with white hair and a blue shirt, who came out from the back of the store, greeted me when I approached the back aisle (for the shampoo and vitamins). The cashier didn't make much eye contact and lacked enthusiasm. What I Wish They Had: Eye drops for Shih Tzus with Dry Eyes. We've tried Corn Oil, Optimmune (0.2% Cyclosporine, USP Ophthalmic Ointment), and Bausch& Lomb Neomycin and Polymyxin B Sulfates and Dexamethasone Opthalmis Suspension USP (Sterile). I haven't been great at documenting what our Veterinarian prescribes. We've consistently tried everything to cure this dry eye problem and nothing works. Once we were recommended to try Bausch & Lomb eye drops (the kind made for humans). We've also tried this vaseline type mixture. No signs of improvements. I stick to bathing her and combing out the eye gunk. read more

Been a client for years my lil shih zu was trained here and groomed here when deanna was here thee best groomer. Now all if a sudden my dog bites and they only wish to groom him mon thru wed . Thee manager was helpful it's the weekend staff that's has my issues. We were on a phone call a gentlemen was telling me he could groom my dog and pick him up he thought he hung up the phone and did not. He was using profanity and bad talking me and my dog. I called back on another line to tell him I heard what he said him and the female groomer and they hung up on me. I called wendy the store manager never called me back as well as thee district manager. I believe they hit my dog that's why he snapped he's a lil thing. Staff is always welcoming when you walk in and there is always a furry parent their with there fur babies. This store never has a funky smell and has always been clean whenever I had to make a stop. Such amazing costumer service. My dog got hurt sometime from the groomers to when he got home. I was furious and blamed the groomer and when I went to tell them that my dog was fine before he walked in there they explained me that it's hard to say when it happened because since my dog is so tiny, just from jumping off high places their paws can get sprained. But they paid for the vet and the medicine bill with little to no questions asked. They were so sweet about it even with my frustration and anger. And now my dog is doing better than ever and grooming they did was amazing! They even noticed that he had a rash and recommend a non grain food to give him. I need help finding an item and not a single employee walking down isles. Banfield employees take their time with each part which is good but how about "hello, we will be with you shortly" sound ?? So many things to complain about... first I made my pups appointment for 11:30 am and he was not ready until 3:30. It took them four hours to bathe him, file his nails and cut his hair. 2nd When I was called to pick him up the groomer tells me he was moody. He didn't let her trim his face. She said we needed to touch his face more and his ears. 3rd As I pay the $60 and change I walk out and noticed they didn't release his anal glands nor brush his teeth which is all included in the fee. This was his 2nd grooming experience he is only 4 months old. Last time they were able to do all, maybe keeping him so long in a cage that he isn't use to being in made him a bit moody. Wasn't impressed with the groomer she looked like she didn't want to be there. Girl who checked him in was a delight I must say, but Iris needs to improve on her customer service. read more

This is probably the best Petsmart we have ever been too! My husky gets groomed here and he comes out looking amazing! Wendy the grooming manager is such a sweetheart. She definitely makes sure you leave with a positive experience and if you don't she doesn't hesitate to hear you out and fix the problem! Now as far as my dogs groomer her name is Bernice! Don't let her size fool you! She might me small but she has no problem with my 70 pound husky! Every time I talk to her she has the best attitude of the bunch!
