Me and two of my friends were walking around the store laughing at animals bc we thought they were cute, and a worker who i will not name came and harassed us saying "good thing we don't sell animals after 8pm", with a tone signifying we were going to do smth to an animal when we were just looking for a new friend. When we asked them a simple question they gave snarky remark, and they proceeded to ask if one of us was 18 and my friend said they were, but she replied "that wasn't the question" in a rude tone. read more

Took my toy poodle to get bathed and groomed, told them I wanted a poodle cut, keeping the ears long she did tell me she had some knots but I knew it was that much, but when I picked her up, they had cut her ears down to the skin. I was so angry and then they charged me. The manager said if they have knots that they have to cut all the hair for the safety of the dog, I didn't know that having some knots is dangerous for a dog. They take the short way around, instead of either cutting some of the knots or even putting a conditioner on the knot and letting it soak in the conditioner. I will never take my dog to PetSmart grooming ever again. I have taken her to other groomers before and never was told they had to cut it short if she had knots. They made me look like the bad guy. We brush her every other day, but she needed a cut already so decided to take her here again (second time we take her) and now I am so upset what they did. They did give me 50% off the service, but the manager said for the inconvenience, this wasn't and inconvenience it was carelessness. read more

Came here to pick up dog food with my 4 year old daughter. We were in the store at 945 the electric doors opened for us. We walked it I put her in a cart and we're looking at the lizards and snakes. The next thing I know I'm being rudely yelled at by an employee named Sean that I can't be in here because they're closed, mind you there's 5 other customers in the store however me and my daughter were singled out by this guy and yelled at. Evidently they're groomer left the door opened but I was who this guy Sean chose to yell at. read more

Took my dog Tripp in for a shampoo cut and nails done. Rachel took care of Tripp and did a great job! Sweet and did just what was asked. Tripp is hyper during his cuts and she did a great job and was patient with him. I would ask for her again. read more

PetSmart has decent quality bird seed at an acceptable price. They also have lots of budgies and they're fun. Fish too, and lizards and stuff. I don't know what else to say. I buy bird seed and look at disposable animals. They have a rewards program. 4 stars read more

Get rid of the obnoxious, presumptive, arrogant old hag that is working at the Valrico store cat adoption center today. The way you lectured, spoke down to, and otherwise made my girlfriend feel like shit for wanting to replace her recently departed 17 year old cat - you are extremely lucky I wasn't interested in making a scene today. No promises about another day. read more

Just left PetSmart and the guy named Jordan said he was the assistant manager at check out was rude and he did not care.

I was going to run out of puppy food due to the fact that pet smart in general can't seem to order enough of the brand (Royal Canin) to keep it on the shelves. My store in plant city has been out of stock for 2 weeks, so after checking there I sped over to this location. I arrived at 8:55 to find the doors locked and a young employee picking up carts in the lot. When I asked her if they were closed she pulled out her phone and said "Ummmmm, yeah." Must be nice to close the store whenever you feel like it. read more

Do not bring your puppy dog for grooming here. I had a 6 mos old shih tzu in for a scissor trim and they clipped him with what I would describe as a hack job. I had talked to the groomer who seemed to listen about what I wanted. I doubt his coat will ever recover as it is pure fluffy undercoat now. Also after a few hours with no message to pick him up I called several times to no avail on hold constantly so at FIVE hours I went and asked for him. I was told the groomer was in Cat grooming training. Not sure if she passed him off to someone else without my instruction or just neglected him for several hours While she went to class. When I got him I just cried. I did not complain the damage was done. The best I can do is warn others. This place is often a mad house and I am just sick over my experience. read more

Do not bring your dog to get groomed here. They don't have a clue what they are doing. Brittany had my puppy for 3.5 hours and then called to tell me that she couldn't give my dog a haircut because he was "too scared " to get one. This was only his second haircut so I can understand he'd be scared. But he only weighs 13 pounds and as a professional groomer you should have experience with puppies. When I mentioned that he'd had a previous haircut and there was no issues at all she accused the previous groomer of drugging my dog to get the job done. I've had dogs my entire life and have never had a problem with any groomer before today. And they had the nerve to charge me on top of wasting my entire day. Go anywhere but here read more

The store opens at 9am, however they start accepting pets prior to the actual store opening. If that's weird, call and verify.

Soooooooo I just wanna say beware of St. Francis they scam. Prefer PetSmart. St. Francis is not a rescue organization as they claim.
