Reviewing the grooming service which I used for the first time on 8/18/22. I am thoroughly impressed at the job well done on my Poppy. She is a friendly, wiggly 7lb, 7 year old ratchi and as she's been groomed at other places before, I knew there would be no issues with her reaction to be handled. The groomer was very kind and tender with my furry bundle who needed a bath and nail job. I was quoted an hour, they were done in 30 minutes. I loved that they stayed in communication with me prior to and at the end of our appointment. And Poppy smelled so good, stinky all gone! Sharp nails clipped and buffed so no more digging into my arms. They topped off her appointment with a cute flowered scarf so I was presented with a cute lavender-smelling doggie again. read more

I love shopping here and I also have my Aussie groomed here. They have a good selection of grain free dog food. My Aussie cannot have chicken by products or grain so that's important. I purchased Nutro because I had a $10.00 off coupon, and she doesnt seem to like Natural Balance or Taste of the Wild or Blue Buffalo any more. She lives the food and unfortunatel, so do the cats, so we are figuring that one out. The staff is always friendly at this location and they took the time to help me fit a harness last week. read more

Came here on accident, as we were on our way to PetsSmart and this place popped up first. The store was laid out a little weird and it was a bit confusing. Things were kinda the same price as PS but a little less options. The employees were so so nice and they had great deals!! This place did not have the pet-smell that I'm used to in pet stores! read more

We took our puppy here for puppy training classes with Sabrina and had a great experience. Sabrina was an excellent and knowledgeable teacher, provided clear instructions, was patient and friendly, and took the time to address the concerns and needs of each owner. All of the staff at the store has been really nice each time we're there and they carry a decent selection of items. read more

Melissa. I cannot say enough good about her. I have a 12 yr old Shitzu that "normally" acts like a puppy. She's usually cool, calm, collected - but when I Bring her to any store that has other animals she gets the shakes. She also gets the shakes with bad weather with her old age, that she did not get as she was younger. Not only has Melissa helped me find products, and meds that help - she literally threw out (unnecessary items) some of the things that were already in my cart, she deemed them not necessary. And replaced with better products! With that said, she made sure my girl had what she needed, she grooms her to a "T", even throws in extra frills. I cannot say enough good about Melissa. read more

Sunday family drive. First we went to wooden spoon restaurant for breakfast/lunch (amazing food). Hole in one doughnut #7 (Brandon) for some sweets....awesome as always. Last stop is the Petco across from Brandon mall. My two girls wanted to just look around but yet we ended up with 2 hamsters and all the necessities. This review is for Mr Andrew who helped us with everything. Mr Andrew was very approachable, friendly and very knowledgeable with everything. He took his time explaining every to us and always asking us if we have any questions or concerns. I was so impressed. Kudos to you Mr Andrew!! read more

I had scheduled a bath for my 6 old adopted pup. The dog was adopted from a rescue at Petco in Seminole Heights. I was given a packet of coupons including a grooming bath special for the pup until they are 6 months old for $13.00, along with other coupons like 20% off the purchase of merchandise and dog training. The card and the discount was from a groomer. I asked the Petco manager if this can be honored in other locations since we live in Ruskin and he assured me that it can be since it comes from Petco corporate. Well long and behold, this Petco refused to honor the coupon and their manager said that he's unaware of anything like this and acted like it's not his problem. Some customer service. He also used an excuse that apparently some shady deals were going on with discounts previously, whatever that means. They wanted $63 for a spa package for a 6 months old pup. No thanks. I'll take the pup to the actual experienced groomer for that amount and not some high schooler trying to pretend like she knows that she is doing. Very disappointed that a big company like Petco refuses to honor their own coupons and put their money where their mouth is. Take your dog and your business elsewhere. read more

Stay away from there grooming department !!!! You will thank me ahead of time. Your dogs will end up worse than they did coming in. They don't dry your dog they will just make excuses why they couldn't do it and they won't take accountability when your dog is hurt from there services. My dogs anal glands were severely injured this past Friday when my boy got his anal glands expressed. It was so bad we had to rush him to the vet the next morning to get treated for the inflammation that had built up from the anal gland expression. read more

I have been to Petco several times with my 6 year old daughter, both to purchase pets and food for them. The employees have always been very helpful, both in providing information on pets and their food needs as well as how to take care of each pet you bring home. They even walked that extra mile and put together a guinea pig cage for me, since I have arthritis in both hands. I have no trouble recommending them for your next pet purchase, their supplies. read more

Took my 2 dogs and 1 cat for shots here. They were busy because of the type of clinic, but the staff was extremely nice and respectful. I was thoroughly explained the process. While waiting, we took the animals for a walk around the plaza. (They text you when it's your turn so you don't have to worry about waiting in line in the store with other animals.) I only come to this store for treats for my dogs. My grandsons like the cafeteria type style of treats, so they can pick and choose and put them in the bags themselves. The store is always neat and clean, no doggy odors, staff are friendly. The few times I have come here, I was the only customer in the store. No where near as busy as Petsmart, my regular store. I'll be back for treats, but not much else! read more

The grooming salon is the worse customer service ever. I have taken my dog there several times with no problems but my normal groomer Heather was not there on 10/18 and this other groomer was there and she was awful. Upon my arrival she told me that she was not comfortable grooming my dog even though my dog has been cleared by her veterinarian for a a little shake that she does. It was a waste of my time and gas. I told her I would just take her someone else. She took it upon herself to call the other location & lied to them about my dogs condition. I will never take my dog to Petco again. Heather thanks for your great work but your other coworker sucks. read more

I've had a hard time finding a groomer for my dog. Whenever I would have her groomed, she would be terrified to go in and come home stressed. She runs into this salon! She loves seeing the girls and loves getting pretty. The girls always let me know if they find anything abnormal during grooming and recommend solutions for any issue I may have. You have a customer for life! read more

The cashiers were pleasant and I appreciate that this store has my dog's brand of food. This store carries the high-end, mid-level, and low-end brands of pet food as well as pet snacks. I'll visit again because it's proximity to 75 when you are visiting the Brandon area. read more

I drove 14 miles to go to Petco and arrived at 8:30 pm on a Saturday only to find that they close at 8:00. All the other stores in strip center were open until 9:00 pm. Petco website states they are open until 9:00. I could have gone to Pet Smart, but try to support Petco because they don't carry items made in China. Too bad Petco in Brandon, FL doesn't care enough about their customers at least enough to put correct hours on their website. read more

Eric in the grooming department did a terrible customer service job on the phone. He wasn't knowledgeable at all of the department and even told me to go to Petsmart because Petco could not beat their prices. Eric that's your company you should try and get me to use your services instead of sending me somewhere else no matter the price! Shame, I loved getting both my pets food from there. read more

Great store but kind of stinky and absolutely no noise (which was a little creepy). Staff never smiled but adjusted a price that was wrong on the shelf without question. A bit expensive compared to Petsmart or other online pet stores, though I do love their bulk dog snacks! read more
