Walked into PetSmart expecting basic help for a child who had just gotten a turtle. What we got instead was a clear display of indifference, laziness, and zero accountability. We approached an employee (dark hair, very pale complexion) for assistance, and she outright refused to help. Not "I'm busy," not "let me get someone else"--just attitude and dismissal. In a store built around animal care, that level of apathy is unacceptable. If employees can't be bothered to guide a child on how to care for a living animal, then what exactly is the standard here? The checkout experience was worse. The cashier was leaning against the wall, engaged in a casual conversation with another employee, completely disengaged from customers. No greeting, no eye contact, no professionalism--just the feeling that we were interrupting them by being there. This wasn't a one-off bad moment. This felt like a culture of low standards, where employees are comfortable doing the bare minimum because no one is holding them accountable. That reflects directly on management. What should have been a positive experience for a child turned into frustration and disappointment. If you're looking for knowledgeable staff, basic courtesy, or anyone who actually cares about animals or customers, avoid this location. I will not be returning. read more

I've been bringing my dog here for years and I'm so happy with the hospital and the groomers. I've not had one bad experience. The staff is always so friendly and the groomers are always willing to make some accommodations for my dog since he is very allergic and sensitive in his ears. I also get RX food for him here as well and never had an issue not being able to get it. 10/01 my favorite grooming and the prices are also very fair. read more

Had to take my Mother-in-Laws two poodles in for a badly needed grooming. Set-up everything on-line beforehand (pretty easy), needed assistance booking both dogs for same time frame. Quick phone-call fixed it, and the young lady handling the phone call was excellent. Took the dogs in, greeted warmly and did some paperwork(update shot records) and met our Groomer (Mari) and another young lady. Both were awesome, went over what type of haircut, nail trimming etc... they were both great with the pups who are not around a lot of people so can be difficult. I want to say Mari is a true professional, she took the time needed to ensure our pups were groomed nicely and keep thier stress level down. When we picked up the dogs, they looked great and Mari looked worn out-LOL. The main thing is the pups were good and the Mother-in-Law was pleased with how they came home looking which made my life easier THANK YOU !!! read more

This is the PetSmart near my moms home so I go there all the time! They now know me every time I walk in and always are available to help. I get wonderful service each time but I'm also very kind to the workers. Right now is hard enough for everyone so I know we're all trying our best. I know this PetSmart doesn't have the best rating..but every time I've gone, which is most definitely over 100 times, I've been helped and treated very well. This PetSmart helped me start my fish journey, and takes beautiful care of everything I need for my baby dogs. Thanks PetSmart!!! This one really is a gem! I went to pick up hermit crabs with my new tank setup and when I went to get three of them for my 40 gallon, their tank looked very bad for Hermits. Only good things were the amount of hiding spots and humidity. The things I complain about is how low the water dishes are and how low the substrate is. It was only about and inch deep. When I asked the guy to pick out smallest ones he just reached in there and dug through the substrate and didn't even worry if any of them were molting. He recommended calcium sand which wasn't good for crabs and I told him why and he ignored me. When I went to the cash register the guy scanned them and just threw them in a bag but I told him not to and he took them out. Now the crabs are living just fine. They were eating the fruit like crazy and now they are nice and healthy :) read more

These people are really bad. The ONLY reasonable person that has been wonderful to my dog is Jose. Also the tall blonde/brownish haired lady who you can tell how they truly care for your pet. They put me on some type of list in my file because I complained once about an assistant manager. When you watch them groom your dog and stop 20 times to do things because you're short staffed. Don't get upset if I see the crappy job your doing! The short brunette woman. I will NEVER use them again. They refused to see my dog because it wasn't with the same groomer. They were and I quote "hesitant" because I'm made COMPLAINTS. Not complaints, just one. What a vindictive person. Yuck! read more

I have not been a fan of PetSmart. Mostly, I have found the staff to be of little help and the inventory too-too expensive. However, I do appreciate the staff at this particular PetSmart. Especially the folks in grooming. They are highly efficient and know their stuff. Plus, they are uber patient with the animals. There have been a few times when a dog -- named FeFe, no doubt -- had had enough with this trim already. I am always impressed with how calmly the specialists talk to the animals, and they will even wait patiently while FeFe gets over her little fit. And it always seems like they have mega sales going. Nothing like seeing row upon row of yellow discount stickers. Also, you will find pet adoptions here on the regular. Plus, my pup enjoys it here. That's saying something. read more

Used to be a great pet place, but now you are not even permitted to use the restroom while shopping there or having your pet seen at Banfield??? Lost a customer, well several actually. Dawn was very "polite" when informing me- they don't allow the "public" to use their restroom. I asked when the fish sale ended. The girl said they never know. So I read the tags. March 30th. @___@ They weren't friendly, at all. I'm used to at least a greeting, if not an answer when I greet them is nice. I didn't get either here. The cashier was just standing staring at me, and was completely silent. I find this Pet Smart to be a good place to go. Staff has always been helpful and even when they discontinued a product they told me where I could get it. What they had in stock my dog did not like so I need a specific product. Groom has always been good especially with Jose. While some of their products can be a little high, at least you can get it. I have shopped here for years and never had a problem, until yesterday. I was planning on buying some fish but my wife needed to use the bathroom. After final finding someone to ask she was told the restroom was for employees only. I'm sure I have used the restroom there before. This PetSmart has great staff and at times it can be a little messy which is why they are getting four stars and not five stars. They do however have a Banfield attached which is very convenient. You can get there Wellness plans which can save you quite a bit of money. Also, with Banfield being open till 7 it makes it great home back if you have any emergencies that don't require an emergency room but you required to see a veterinarian. However, this review is more about PetSmart. Every time I've been in this location the staff has been very pleasant and whenever you are working in or out of the store they always greet you. The only thing I have noticed it looks slightly understaffed and I think that is why the store a lot of times isnt' as sharp-looking as it could be. However, I definitely would shop at this PetSmart again and I have intentions to do it read more

I've taken my dogs to get their nails trimmed here once a month for about a year and it's always a hit or miss. Sometimes they will grind my dogs nails at no extra cost and sometimes they'll barely even trim the nails. I think it depends who you get. There's been a couple occasions now where I show up to the "no appointment needed" nail trims and been told "is there any way you can come back later?" Which is extremely disappointing as I don't live close and it put my dogs through the unnecessary stress to get there. And it's not like they're asking me to come back in half an hour that we can kill browsing in the store. It's 3+ hours sometimes. So then after this happening twice I decided to call and make an appointment to which I was told "I'm sorry we don't make appointments for nail trims". I would give this grooming salon 0 stars if it weren't for the select few who actually go beyond to get my pups nails trimmed and filed. However if I purchase a 42" dog crate, mistakingly grab a 48" mat, I pay for item, walk out the door, realize it's the wrong size, walk back in to exchange either the "boxed" crate or mat only to be told no! Same as most PetSmarts around town. But with this location not in the middle of town, there is a small chance that something out-of-stock elsewhere might be found here. I have attempted to use their dog training facilities with my rescued Boston Terrier to no avail. They were really very helpful, but my dog was already set in his ways (for what it's worth, he has gotten much better in public since we got him thankfully). That said, I did learn some tips that I have used ever since when walking my dog. As with all branches of this chain, it is a pet-welcome store. Awesome vet at the clinic, we were seen shortly with our new little rescue cat we had just adopted. The vet took his time and answered the many questions we had about our new cat (she's severely obese) and gave us our prescription cards for the RX diet she need to be on. Stopped here today to get some last minute supplies for the pups. I love the variety at Petsmart, but they are more expensive than other places. That said, the staff is very helpful here, and I have really enjoyed the positive attitudes. Today, I had a discussion about collars, because I was looking for a new collar for my chi-terrier mic, and they not have what I was looking for.....but he was right there asking me if there was anything he could help me with. We got to talking about HOW MANY collars and leashes there are. I said it was like being a kid, on cereal isle....lol. SO many choices. Keep working on customer service here....it is what pulls people back. In two and a half years....it has gotten much better. Took my dog in for a bath, haircut and teeth brushed. That told me 2 - 3 hours. After 4 hours he wasn't done. They said just a little more trimming. She brought him out after 5 minutes and he had only been bathed. He is a small 9 lb dog. 2 people started cutting his hair. Feet were not clipped, sanitary clipping not done. His face was uneven. I watched them do this and it wasn't because he gave them trouble, in fact I was very surprised he stood there. Expressing the anal gland was also part of the package I paid for. Today, 18 days later I had to pay my vet to do this because his glands were full. They never did it. On top of everything petsmart has stopped carrying my dogs food. My one dog is 12 years old I am not making him change. The employee said try Target. I will just go to another pet store from now on. Not going driving 40 minutes for bad treatment any more. read more

I have been taking my Boston terrier here to have her nails clipped ans grinded for 9 years but this was my last time. They did 2 paws and on the third paw they clipped her nail totaly off and stopped. They then came out with her and told me what they had done then told me they did not finish and if the bleeding didn't stop to just put corn starch on it. Of corse they didn't charg me but they also didn't pay her vet bill for almost bleeding to death. I feel they are hiring people that are not qualified for grooming. read more

This review is just for the grooming. I have been coming to this Petsmart to groom my dogs for a few years but it has recently gotten bad. My girls (dogs) have gotten used to this place so it's kinda disappointing I have to look elsewhere. The hair cuts have gotten worse and worse each time. They have my dogs for 4+ hours to come out looking like they barley even tried. My mom recently took her schnauzer and they left a burn mark from the razor, (the vet confirmed this). The staff is NEVER focused on the customer/dogs. They are constantly talking and gossiping and they are also always hoping that their haircuts get canceled. You can absolutely skip this business and happily order your goods from Amazon without feeling sad about not supporting local biz. We spent over $300 on supplies there on a Saturday morning. Got home and realized they didn't honor their posted dog toy Buy One Get One 50% off deal, which were labeled on the item racks. We got overcharged by over $30. They were so understaffed at the register, but had plenty of employees walking around. 8-10 people deep in line with one register open. Woman with curly long hair is truly a miserable human being walking around with a clipboard snapping at kids near the fish. Many shelves were empty. Seriously, this is why brick and mortar is dying. Between negative employee experiences, billing issues and poor selection, we'd happily pay more at Amazon and wait a day or two just to avoid all of that. You don't care about your cash customers who spend big money at your store, PetSmart. read more

What we need is a lizard with a ladder! Actually what we needed were some crickets, after a friend and I found a fence lizard. We weren't sure if he'd have much time left, since he was looking very weak and sick. Not wanting to invest in a tank and other lizard amenities, we got him a nice temporary hermit crab tub and a few crickets. The nice employee gave it to us gratis and wished us luck! And this was with 5 min til closing. I call that excellent customer service and dedication to all living creatures. I'm sure we'll be back for that ladder. read more

Second time I've gone and they've told me "my dogs shots expired" when I've taken her paperwork in several times. Finally found it in their "new system" didn't apologize for making me wait for 30 min... Clearly I'm holding a newborn a toddler plus a dog and clearly don't see how that has inconvenienced me. Stopped by to get some cat food and it's a very clean store.they do have young adults to help you with what you need. They don't have a greeter because it's not the wal mart.The cashiers are nice and will give your dog treats if you want. They have everything I need in stock and the price is better then other pet stores I been to. They take the time to walk with you around the store to help you get what you need the only down side is that others might have to wait to get help. read more
