Not too long ago, ownership changed and it has been consistent in expertise. This was the 1st time I took our dogs to Broadway Grooming. One of our dogs is a Great Pyrenees and after Jackie worked her magic, our furry girl looks better than she ever has! Jackie is experienced with this breed and it shows! My midsize terrier mix also looked beautiful and her corse fur felt very silky which was a nice surprise. Both dogs seemed to be in good spirits when I picked them up, a good sign that they were not feeling stressed or anxious during the grooming. I had the WORST experience here than I have ever had at any groomers. I took my two dogs to get groomed, I dropped them off at 10 am and I went to pick them up around 3 pm, they were still not ready. I was told one of my dogs had nervous diarrhea and they were waiting for here stomach to settle, which has never happened to my dogs before. They advised my to wait 45 mins and then after that time elapsed they said they were still not ready and to wait 20 more mins. At that point I decided to go in they were still not ready. When I went inside and was waiting they explained when trimming my dogs leg the blade slipped and they cleaned the wound. I was furious not only were my dogs traumatized they were wounded. I was by far the WORST experience I have ever had a dog groomers, WOULD NOT RECOMMEND TO MY WORST ENEMY!! BEWARE ANIMAL MISTREATMENT!! DO NOT GO HERE!! If I could would rate a ZERO I WOULD!! The cuts were uneven but i kept going back bc it's near my house. Then today the owner was outright nasty to me because i made a mistake, despite multiple apologies and explanations as to why i thought i was doing the right thing. My sin was dragging my dog outside to pee instead of letting him pee on her register stand. Ive never been treated so rudely by someone in the service industry who supposedly needs customers. After several months and several visits, Jenn's patience and wonderful work paid off! Finally, Tye (my dog) relished the one on one caring and compassion with which Jenn has been treating her and actually allowed Jenn to give her "the full treatment" without trying to bite or wiggle her way out of being held. I recently moved to Tucson and needed a groomer. When I called to book the appointment or ask questions, they were very friendly and helpful. Upon dropping my shih tzu off this afternoon, I was greeted by a very pleasant female employee. When I picked him up this afternoon, I had to wait a few minutes but enjoyed conversation with the groomer and other female employee. The foyer is small, but the shop is clean. My dog looks wonderful and is in good spirits. The pricing was comparable to what I paid in other parts of Arizona. read more

I have went to this groomer three times now and have yet to have the experience noted in the reviews. I really wanted to like this place. The last time I went they had obviously not taken my dog to the "yard" space because he had crapped in the cage and when they got him out when I came to pick him up, he got crap all over the lease and himself and they didn't even offer to clean him up. I only live a few minutes away and my dog was crying so bad in the car that I had to stop so that he could pee before we got home so they had not taken him out. They did a horrible job on my second dog, but she is old and very difficult when you touch her, so that it not their fault. This was after they had my somehow lost my phone number to call when my dogs were ready. They don't use a computer for their records. read more

I have a challenging breed to groom. She's a Wheaton-poodle. I like her coat longer and they take such great care! It's hard to groom a "Whoodle" because they are prone to matting. Other places I have been they simply shave off any knots instead of trying to brush her out. Not here. They take their time and she turns out beautifully! You really can't beat the price either. Such an exceptional job for a great price. It's no frills but efficient and my Daisy is happy! I love how they give her a cute bandanna every time. I ask them for specifics like trimming the front of her nose instead of shaving it and bobbing the fur on her ears. They do such a great job and listen to me carefully. We picked this place because of all the great reviews. Unfortunately they did not live up to them. Dropped our Maine Coon off to be groomed and explained to the receptionist that he was terrified of carrier he was in since he had only been in it twice in his life. I only expected him to spend about an hour at most in it since I was dropping him off early and I live withing five minutes of the location. She checked him in and we said goodbye. Three and a half hours later my wife called to get a status. She was told that he had not been groomed yet; that they had not groomed him yet because they needed two people and were just now getting a chance to free up a second person to start grooming him. He would be ready in another hour to hour and a half. I found this ludicrous and called myself. I was told that they had not groomed him yet because I had dropped him off early AND they were waiting for him to calm down because cats' immune systems are delicate and they did not want to cause him to have a heart attack or anything. They said they left him in the small carrier for THREE AND A HALF HOURS because they wanted him to be someplace he felt comforted (refer to my statement to the receptionist that the carrier terrified him). Needless to say I was furious and immediately headed in to pick him up. When I arrived I saw that they had placed him over to the side of the room and my cat was absolutely miserable. I just do not understand how people who are suppose to be caring for animals on a daily basis could treat my pet in such an inhumane way. Another groomer, who we decided against because of price, stated that if the cat was agitated they would give it a kitty Valium to help it relax and deal with the stress. I guess next time I should pay the extra to get my cat cared for properly. read more

Not only did they take the time to explain to me exactly what their process was ( as I had never taken my scared cat to the groomers and was nervous for him ) but they did a great job with his shaving as well. This place has always been my first choice...I travel from the west side (sentinel mountain area) of town to come here and have my babies groomed. Today I dropped off my cat and dog. Picked them up....both smelled good, had their nails trimmed, excellent right? My cat had a wash and nails trimmed, excellent. I told the girl I wanted my dog all trimmed, except his mohawk. Mohawk was cut off, now he has to grow it out again. I guess that wasn't clear. OK WHATEVER. I STILL TIPPED 25% BECAUSE HAIR GROWS BACK. Get home and notice my puppy has A FRESH TICK ON his back. I was livid. I had my boyfriend call because I was TOO angry AND I REFUSE TO BE A BITCH TO CUSTOMER SERVICE PEOPLE. They wouldn't admit to it. My dog is inside ALL THE TIME! I rescued him in December and not to brag, he's never had one tick until today. I'm angry that after my big fat tip that they didn't admit to it. My boyfriend was told that they have never had a tick problem ever, not once. Ok whatever. Thanks. I guess my dog got a fresh, small, non fat tick in my car and not a grooming place. i have been using Broadway Grooming for at least the last 3 years. Never had any issues and was always pleased with their grooming service. However today arriving for my 9:00 appt I was informed that they are now under new management and the groomer Jennifer is now the owner. Ok no problem. But the system has changed and now you pay prior to picking up. This supposedly makes it "Easier for the customer". You just come in and pick your groomed animal. So almost 5 hrs grooming which normally is a 3 hr groom. I call after paying and was told my dog was in the dryer due to his heavy undercoat and it would be another 45 min to an hour. My dog was to be shaved So thinking this doesn't sound right I went to the groomer I was told my dog was not finished and he was just getting dried I stated give me my dog in whatever condition he was wet or dry The groomer/owner reluctantly delivers my dog and hes 1/4 shaved. Lies lies lies. Will never go back I have a quarter shaved dog for almost 5 hrs of him being kenneled. I have pictures of what he looks like after 5 hours I also was to be given a $5 referral discount which I discussed when leaving my dog I was assured it would be given. Never applied to my bill Would never recommend this groomer nor ever return Sad after 3 years. New owners should try and keep prior clients rather than trying to make a buck off everyone read more

I brought my yorkie in for a grooming I stated when I left him, to leave the skirt. I again stated when the gal called me to leave his legs long to only trim his back with the clippers. Yet when I arrived he is almost sheered clean. The gal said he and some matting on the under side so cut what you had to but leave the fring from his sides and legs alone. NO I am not happy yes I told the gal I was not happy she was up set because I raised my voice. Well YOU did not listen when I spoke in a normal voice what is it about leave the skirt do you all NOT understand. All of the fring I have been having him grow for over a year is now gone. You could have at least said you were sorry for the misunderstanding. I have not used you in a year and I will not be coming back. read more

How can anyone say dog covered in crap? 25 years, 3 dogs one who got very old during years of grooming. All treated so beautifully. Groomer's really love what they are doing.
