The main reason why i go to this pets mart is the grooming. They're my last resort when i can't decide on where to take my dog ( TRUST ME, THERE AREN'T MANY GREAT GROOMING PLACES NEAR SPRINGFIELD) They always do a decent job and they're really friendly too! I would recommend ALWAYS checking your dogs ears after wards, cause i've been here 5 times, my dog's ears are NEVER clean. read more

I just get my cat food and litter here, nothing more, nothing less. So pretty basic. I wish the prices were cheaper but they are competitive. I did notice the complaints about the grooming facility, so when I passed by the dog care in the back, I did notice the dogs which were groomed were almost shaven. So I can vouch for that shortcoming. My neighbor had her dog groomed there, and he was also shaven down to the skin almost. Did look weird. Anyway, I enjoy my visits but I dont have to deal with the grooming. read more

Review of aquarium section only Decided to get back into fish after having a tank as a kid. Staff was very nice but gave me a terrible recommendation for a first tank as a set. I've since replaced everything but the tank. Next, the fish. Their tanks are all basically one huge tank. The water is shared. Take a look at their cobra guppy tank. These fish empty almost weekly. You will often see at least one dead fish and several at the top showing symptoms of columnaris. Several of the guppies and cory cats I have purchased there have swiftly died, some with severely curved misshapen spines that indicate columnaris or fish TB. Just be aware, you should have a quarantine tank and most likely you will have high fish loss from the fish you buy here read more

My wife and I recently moved to the area, this store came highly recommended by friends when asking about a new dog groomer. We were greeted by a groomer named Kelly. She was very professional and knowledgeable while answering our questions. She gave the impression that she wanted what was best for our fur baby and for him to gave a good experience at their salon. Highly recommend this salon. read more

If they would let me give a 0 star review I would. Today I brought my cat in to have her nails trimmed...after complaining that they did but have enough time even though I called yesterday and was told to come in at that time today for this generally walk in service. After a lot of confusion at the sign in, the groomer came over, took my cat and pinned her down.now...my cat, although fully grown is only 6 pounds... but they pinned her down and someone who wasn't the cat groomer trimmed get nails... this doesn't make sense to me at all... I am NEVER EVER EVER going to this pets mart...and maybe not to anyone ever again!!! My cat has never been aggressive our shown any signs of aggression...I think she had hissed once at my mom's cat and ever since takes naps next to her. This behavior was totally out of line. Don't bring your cats here... but I wouldn't recommend bringing a dog either. read more

This is for the salon. I've taken my Yorkie to be groomed at this location for over two years and have been generally satisfied with the services but last 3 times I've taken my pup I've been horribly dissatisfied with the rudeness and complete lack of professionalism and customer service. The staff handled my pup with a rough and mean attitude scaring him to the point he was shaking. Then I asked for a yorkie cut and we they gave him a poodle like hair cut and he looked horrible. I paid for his nails to be trimmed and they didn't do that either. I asked for the manager and I was denied that too!! Since then we no longer go to that Petsmart to buy anything, I refuse to use the salon. I do have to say I've used other Petsmarts and their salon and have been pleased with the services. read more

Amusing experience. Long lines, ok normal. Surly cashier, ok not uncommon, low wage job and everyone has bad days. Item price rang up significantly higher than on signage. Clerk shrugged and asked if still wanted item. Yes but at correct lower price! Need proof, or reduction sale price not possible. Pointed to manager area. Went and got the sign, cashier refereed me to back of line or manager area. Yeah right. Went to manager door, tapped and tapped and tapped on glass, he finally emerged. He said go back to cashier. Camped out at same surly cashier until line halted. Demanded she do her job. She called manager. Amusingly, Manager told her to "humor the customer" and just re-ring item with proper price. Duty done. Manager returned to office. What an outfit! read more

This is a good PetSmart with a decent selection of products for dogs and cats and occasional good sales. The staff in here is friendly and helpful and they always make sure that our spoiled dogs leave with a fistful of complimentary biscuits. As a larger Petco, this location has grooming services, day care, a Banfield, and obedience courses. We've used the Banfield for our dogs with pretty favorable results but not the other services. We tried to sign up for puppy obedience but the classes fill up quick. In sum, this is a solid, but typical, PetSmart. read more

This was probably one of my biggest regrets as a dog owner. A few hours after coco's grooming, I found a cut on my dogs ear which seemed pretty severe. The cut was on my 11 month puppy's ear lobe. It wasn't that big but it seemed very painful. I'm not mad at the fact that he cut her, as accident happen. I am mad at the fact that he neglected to inform me about the Cut so we can take immediate action. Although they compensated us with the money we spent on her grooming and paid for our visit to the vet, it just wasn't enough to make up for my puppy's pain. Luckily the vet said we came in right in time before it got an infection. read more

I have been taking my dog to the groomers for the past couple of years. Great service. Friendly groomers that take good care of my pet

This place is what's to be expected. A huge warehouse for pet supplies. It's going to be dirty because they allow you to bring your pets in the store. Some people don't keep a tight leash on their pets which can be a little disruptive. I think the staff is usually pretty attentive. The grooming salon is OK and I haven't had any problems there. I do think that alot of the dog food is way overpriced though. read more

They shaved my yorkie's fur so short that he had razor burn on his privates and told me to just put neosporin on it. My poodle is still terrified of having her tail touched because they brushed her so aggressively. I don't like writing reviews like this but I feel obligated to let others know so they don't put their fur babies through the same torture. read more

We wanted to check out the doggy day camp and ask for prices so we can have our little rescue pup spend a day or half day with other furends(because he likes playing with others not because we don't play with him, we take him out all the time to play). Well we walked in and everyone just stares and doesn't acknowledge or welcome us like Petco does or our Petsmart by our house. We ventured out here because the one by our house doesn't have a dogggy day camp. We were browsing around in the fish department and the staff member back there was just on his phone and didn't hear us so we just didn't bother and proceeded to the back. I got excited because their doggy day camp looks so spacious and huge. There was about 50 dogs total running around or laying around. One dog started to bark because he saw our little guy outside and then a few more started to bark. The two male workers who were in charge of the bigger dogs just stared at us like we should leave because we're causing these dogs to bark. One was on his phone and didn't even give them attention. The other male just stood there in the back eyeing us out. I approached the counter to a young lady who didn't even acknowledge us. I asked May I have a pamphlet with prices and what you offer. She hands me the paper and says "here not the same prices for all yeah!". I was like "okay?...." and she just ignored us and started talking to her co-workers. We then walked pass the glass window with the smaller dogs in the day camp area and they were all trying to get the male workers attention but he kept shooing the dogs away shoving them while one barked at him. He was also busy talking to another co-worker about lunch break or other nonsense. I told my fiancé I don't know why that angers me or upsets me so much that other people's dog are being treated this way and not getting attention or played with. The other doggy day camp we checked out was much smaller than this but the one lady working in it was so happy she paid attention to the dogs and played with them. Those dogs looked happy. The ones here all looked miserable and angry. If you had your dog here in day camp on Friday March 10, 2017 about 2:50-3:30pm(the time we arrived walked around and observed) I hope your dog or pup left happy without seeking extra attention from you since what you paid for doesn't seem like they're making your fur babies happy. I was really upset at one the lack of customer service and friendliness this store has and to top that off the way the doggy day camp staffs acted around these dogs. We will make sure to not put our guy in doggy day camp under Petsmart's name at least not this one!!! We will also make sure everyone we know who has a fur baby know also!!! I understand that she mentioned prices are different at different locations but the price here is a joke for staffs being on their phones and shooing you pup away when they were seeking attention. Please teach your staff better and give better customer service because we are what keeps your company alive and we are what's giving you employees a job. We saw so many great clearances that we were going to purchase but we were so turned off from this location that we left to a local pet store that isn't a chain instead. As for now Petsmart store #446 in Springfield will not have our business or our family and friends!!!! read more

This was one of the worst experiences I have encountered at petsmart. I am a previous employee so I typically use petsmart for my pet needs, however their behavior today left me very disappointed. I brought my dog in for day care and a bath, I was told that they were booked solid for both. The customer service was HORRIBLE. They basically told us we were out of luck and had to leave even though I had confirmed the appointment two days ago. I recommend you take your pets elsewhere, any good employees this petsmart had have left. This is not the only bad experience I've had with the pet hotel. A few months ago they gave us our dog back with a huge bite mark that they didn't tell us about it and we had to find later. Please if you care about your pet take them elsewhere. read more

I had really liked this place but I have to say my experience this past Saturday was horrible. My dogs and kids love cats. An organization FancyCats.org was onsite showing cats for adoption. They have on the glasses info about the cats stating they are dog and kid friendly. Only one cat had a sign stating please don't bring dogs around it. I was with a 10 year old and my shih tzu looking at the cats. One cat was even putting it's paw on the glass for my shih tzu to play with. The volunteers of the organization told me the cats are scared of dogs, and i stated why would you put dog friendly on the information if they are scared of them? they went to the manager and told them lies i was leaning in and tapping the glass. the manager, DAVID, came over and said I wasn't allowed to bring the dogs near the cats and i needed to store if I didn't leave the area. I stated this was a pet store allowed for dogs and all animals. And was very rude and said I needed to leave. I am never going back to this store and will be emailing corporate. read more

My issue with the grooming is that they are so inconsistent. Im new to the area but have taken my dog here for the past 3 months that I have been here. Every freaking time I dropped my dog off there, it was always a problem be it. They call ME ask me to bring her early I'm like sure, get there & then they say u can only bring them 30 mins early. I said well you guys called me, had to take her back home & come back at our original time. Had my dog receive a hair cut & the hair was diff lengths all over, the straw that broke the camels back. Had an appointment for 1:30 arrived at 1:47 said that I had to reschedule because I was more than 15 mins late & didn't call. Now yes that's almost 20 mins late but they don't cancel the appt (where I get the cancel text) until 3 hrs later. The staff isn't that knowledgeable or friendly. Use ate your own risk. I'm taking my $$ elsewhere. read more

The main reason I am giving this PetSmart a 1 star is the grooming salon. Before I moved I had taken her to a PetSmart back home for grooming and it was pretty standard. Her haircuts looked okay, the price was fair, and they were always open in a short time for new appointments. This PetSmart however has been a nightmare to work with. The first time I tried to make an appointment for her, I was in the store already for the vet and decided to just walk over to the salon and talk to somebody. The woman who made the appointment for me was distracted and inattentive despite nothing going on in the salon at the time. I go in on the day I made the appointment for, and it turns out she had never made it. She did not finish putting in my info and had just been nodding and smiling me to death. Luckily for me they had room that day and took my dog in anyway. The first few times her haircuts were pretty standard and the price was what I expected. Then it seems like the person grooming her was changed to the same inattentive woman who had tried to make my appointment the first time and the quality suffered. Her haircuts did not look very good and were uneven in spots, and I was constantly being upcharged for things like dematting. This I would understand more if I didn't brush and demat my dog regularly on my own. I even made sure to demat her ears and tail and to brush her very thoroughly on my own the night before each appointment. I know she is a long coated dog and gets tangles very easily, it is why I make sure to brush her myself so often, but there was no way she needed to be dematted to the point of a 20 dollar upcharge each time. And even with this upcharge at least once I noticed a knot after taking her home, which could have easily been a mat I missed in my own grooming of her. It was like they hadn't even bothered at all and just tacked on the 20 dollars to screw me. The final straw for me was the last time I took her in to be groomed. A few days later her paws got a little dirty and I needed to wipe off her feet, and noticed her nails. Her nails had not been cut at all. They were extremely long. And one of her side claws which is harder to see was actually starting to curl under, meaning it must not have been clipped down for multiple appointments. Nail clipping is a part of their grooming package, not something extra. It should have been done. Which made me wonder if they had even been doing other things that were supposed to be included in their grooming package, such as expressing her anal glands. The customer service and even just the environment of this grooming salon is also just very uncomfortable. The people working often seem bored and disinterested. They don't care about their job and it shows in the way that they treat the animals and the owners of the animals. Finding other grooming in this area that is affordable and with people who seem to do a good job is rough. But if I am being upcharged to $75 every time I take her here anyway for dematting they don't seem to do, I may as well pay that $75 as a baseline fee to people who will actually do a good job. When it comes to the store itself, it is fairly typical. The small animals they sell there are questionable which is unfortunate even if it is expected for a chain pet supply store, and the prices on their food and other goods is about what I'd expect. I have no experience with the Pet Hotel at all. The Banfield vet I actually do like, we have always been treated kindly there and we generally get the same vet each time who treats our dogs well. There was a minor screw up when we first signed on to their service; my dog was a year old and had been going to a different vet before I moved to this area. They treated her like a puppy and only gave her a 1 year rabies vaccine and gave her two pre-vaccines instead of one for one of her main vaccines and tried to charge us for this. However when we explained that she was not a puppy and was a year old and shouldn't have had to get that extra shot, the fee was waived. read more

My first and last time allowing Song in the grooming salon take care of my dog. She completely shaved my dog and not anywhere close to what I had asked for. It's been five days and each day I find an error made such as uneven areas, straight lines near his paws, and it's just a complete mess. It makes me super sad that she ruined our petsmart experience. Not worth the money paid and I will never go to another petsmart again. read more

I took my puppy in for her first full hair cut and full groom. I booked my appointment online and read a bath was included. I have a poodle who's hair was very long-it hadn't been cut since birth. When we got her back she looked like a completely different dog and we were so surprised and so excited to see her we didn't notice the hair on her tail. When we got home, I noticed her tail looked a little strange-like the hair hadn't been touched and was still a bit dirty (we had been at the dog park the day before). I smelled it and could totally tell that she hadn't been washed and the remaining hair on her tail hadn't been brushed either. I called in to inform them to which I was told that I am trying to take advantage of them (even though I paid close to $80 for the services that were supposed to be provided). I asked to speak to the manager and it was pulling teeth trying to get compensation for having to drive all the way back to get the services I paid for be completed. I have NEVER had an issue or question on services provided at the fairfax PetSmart. I WILL NOT BE RETURNING TO THIS PETSMART AGAIN. read more

The grooming department here is so rude. My "home base" is at Fair Lakes for Banfield services, but I wanted to get my dog's nails clipped at this location so I asked one groomer to pull his rabies record up on her computer. She said, "that would actually take a really long time and I don't have the time to do that." So I had to leave. Her and two others were not doing anything beforehand, while only one person was grooming a dog; so I'm pretty sure they weren't busy and she was just being rude and lazy. I couldn't believe she turned my dog and I away like that. read more

If there was a zero star, that is what this "grooming salon" would receive. Twice I brought my dog to be groomed and twice I was treated like they had plenty of customers and didn't need our business. Then, Corporate didn't bother to get back in touch with me. Use another groomer. read more

Since I started coming here in 2003 the professionalism of this petsmart has deteriorated. Being a minority, I came here and was shopping around and as I look at the toys and other things they have there a manager with a suspicious look on her face asks me if I need help. I say no. Then this manager follows me and goes up to the counter as I am checking out and hangs over the panel separating the cashier and looks on as I approach. Ok, I have been going here since 03 and I have never experienced such rude and discriminatory customer service! In my lifetime I have never even had a traffic ticket! I immediately wrote a letter to corporate and told them of this manager's behavior well all they did was respond with an email that I misinterpreted her behavior and that she didn't recall seeing me?!?! Um sure. Maybe I'm not the only minority she has followed around that day. Still, I think they should have done more and at least disciplined this manager. Since this incident I have told everyone I know of what I experienced at this store. Moving on....... The banfield here lost my trust. I always bring my pets here now I only bring them to this location as a last resort. Reason being is that every time I come here they insist that they HAVE to take my puppy to the back for everything. I want to be present while the doctor or nurse does their work on my puppy. I am a pet parent after all. Would you let your child be taken to the back by a doctor or nurse and leave it up to them of what they do to your child? Well I let this happen once because I had faith in them and I ignored my gut feeling as I hesitantly let my puppy be taken to the back. Well they said they were only going to clean his ears turns out they also gave him a shot. They did not tell me they gave him this shot and when I get home my puppy is very sick! I did not know what was wrong and only later they told me they had given a shot and it was a reaction. I was very upset and it was enough to have me switch banfield. NEVER let your pet alone to the back with them! Always be there. Pet grooming. The manager there seems kind of rude and I think she cut my puppy's hair too short. I ignore rude people but again don't leave your pet alone with strangers!! read more

This one precious rating star is for the front checkout staff, as they have generally been friendly and nice & they deserve recognition. The grooming salon on the other hand has earned this negative feedback due to lack of customer service for pet and owner a like. The past two years of utilizing the groomers at this location has been a hit and miss with customer service, & my misses seem to involve the same groomer. I do not know her name (unfortunately) but she is easy to spot when you enter the grooming salon - she has a permanent scowl on her face while showcasing her lack of manners & customer service. My pet actually rarely gets serviced by her but she is usually the first face to greet you when you enter those doors and it isn't pleasant. Anyway, I am done rolling the dice and hoping I get good customer service & that they actually enjoy working with animals. Reading the other reviews it appears the groomers have a pretty bad rap and Petsmart does absolutely nothing to fix the problem. It's cool, I'll fix it for them...I am taking my pet & my hard earned cash elsewhere. read more

Reason being for the one star is because of the grooming department. This is our second time coming to this particular petsmart because of first experience that was amazing prior to this experience. Today would be the last time coming to this location due to the fact that we came to pick up our dog and they were in a meeting and the manager/team started yelling at us for no reason all we did was come to get our dog and she started yelling as if we did something wrong. So due to that we will take our business elsewhere. read more

DO NOT USE THEIR ONLINE ORDER SYSTEM. So I usually go to the Petco on Richmond Highway because they are extremely polite. But I decided to go to this PetSmart because I was going to do errands near the area and they have the one hour policy, in which they prepare your online order in one hour, which Petco does not have. So I did not check my email before going to pick up my order because my phone was being extremely slow. But they had not called me to tell me something was wrong with my order, so I assumed everything was okay, especially since more than 3 hours had passed since I had placed my order. So I get there and there are 3 employees standing by a register and they tell me that they couldn't scan one of my products that their system was not working so they were going to refund me my money but I could check out in the store. So then I tell her if she can give me the 5% discount that you get when you order online because I HAD ordered online. So she calls the manager Cheryl so they can give me my discount. The only reason I asked them was because when Petco messed up my order the employee apologized and said she could give the discount in store because it was their fault but the girl at PetSmart asked her manager which annoyed me because I HAD placed the original order online. After that she tells me Cheryl the manager is coming to check me out so I can get the discount. So I wait and Cheryl comes answers a phone that was ringing and then leaves without even acknowledging me. So then this other girl comes and I explain to her what is happening and she checks me out. So then my total online was 12 dollars but when she checks me out she says its 19 dollars. So I tell her what my original receipt said and she tells me to show her. Again my phone was being extremely slow so we wait until it loads until she gets bored and gives me price I told her I had payed online. Except their registers are really old so they can't pull up online prices like at petco. So in conclusion I ended up PAYING MORE than the original price they had charged me online because they don't know their online prices and my phone would not load so I could not show her and I also WASTED 20 mins of my life waiting for Cheryl and then for them to give me my online prices. I wanted to leave and not buy anything but it was 23 degrees outside and I had already wasted my gas and energy getting there. GO TO PETCO I WOULD RATHER DRIVE 30 MINS TO BE TREATED GREAT THEN TO COME TO PETSMART AND BE TREATED LIKE CRAP. read more

We took my sister in-law's Pomeranian there to be clipped and washed. They told her a set price. My sister-in-law ended up paying it without much arguing but I think that is a deceptive business practice. read more

This is for the dog grooming service. We had some really good times and then some really bad times. The bad experiences have turned me away from ever going there again. This review if for the grooming salon...took our two dogs in today to have their nails trimmed/grinding. I've went to several different Petsmart locations over the years and have always been able to walk in for a simple nail trim. I went in today and was told they won't be doing any nail trimming til after 1:30. I was quite annoyed as it is a "walk-in" service and I'd already had my dogs there. I had to find another Petsmart like 20 minutes away to get their nails done. read more

If you read the other reviews, you will see a pattern: the store reviews are decent, the grooming salon reviews are horrible. This review continues that trend. I am new to the area and was looking to have my dog groomed. I made an appointment to do so and was told when I took my dog to get a shot at the adjacent Banfield that I would have to wait 48 hours for the bath. No problem, the guy rescheduled me on the spot. I'm thinking everything is cool. I come back a couple days later and lo and behold "sorry ma'm, we don't see you scheduled at all." lol I said "Well, I'm sorry but I stood right here, you stood right there, asked me a good time to come and I saw you write something down, you said "see you then," just two days ago, how do you not recall this?" The rest of the groomers stopped and stared as if I had three heads. The manager asked me "is there a problem?" I stated, "not on my end, but my dog was scheduled and apparently you guys didn't write it down or something, but whatever the case, he will be getting groomed today just as he was scheduled to." They begrudgingly accommodated, but I could tell by the look on the manager's face (I will not be cruel here) they were not used to the concept of satisfying the customer, especially when they were in the wrong. At any rate, this was Christmas eve, the guy called near closing time and I came to pick up my dog. I noticed as I got home that he was still itching and that his hair had really not been trimmed as much as needed. I called and told them I needed to bring him back in, the guy on the phone obliged and was very friendly. Lo and behold (again, lol), I get there and the deep-voiced manager meets me at the door trying to offer me a gift certificate to somewhere else because "the groomer doesn't feel he can satisfy you and it's our policy to offer gift certificates to someplace else, especially if the customer may be deemed hostile." I almost LOST it, but I held my cool. I stated, "I'm not hostile, but I don't understand what is so complicated about my request. I just want my dog trimmed more. Is this foreign to you people?" She begrudgingly obliged and trimmed him. (WHY DID SHE NOT OFFER TO DO THIS IN THE FIRST PLACE???) I will never understand this place and will not be back. The customer service is nonexistent. Save yourself A LOT OF HEADACHES and avoid this place at all costs. Something is wrong with the whole atmosphere in the grooming salon. They look like deer in headlights when you speak to them. The elevator doesn't seem to go all the way to the top if you know what I mean. They are either overworked or undertrained or both. Just no. Find someplace else to take your furry baby. read more

HORRIBLE TRAINER! Petsmart dog trainers are required to follow a specific curriculum outlined in the material they are provided to qualify them as "trainers" (according to petsmart). I have repeatedly witnessed the trainers (specifically the "head" trainer) deviate from the curriculum and use non-scientific, ineffective, and potentially HARMFUL training methods with the dogs. Additionally he has labeled dogs "alpha" and "dominant" with no accurate backround info on the dog and no understanding of what these terms mean. It is irresponsible and detremental not only to the dogs but also to their owners. How horrible and discouraging is it to have a "trainer" say your dog is "dominant", difficult, and stubborn, when in fact it's the trainer's lack of understanding of dog behavior and inability to successfully teach the owners and dog. Many of the dogs labeled as such have gone on to pass their CGC, do therapy dog work, compete in obedience competitions (RALLY), etc. Good thing those owners did not take the petsmart trainer's words to heart! Petsmart should really review what their trainers are doing and have some quality standards put in place. Their training is a waste of time. Save your money and hire a real professional trainer! A great resource is www.apdt.com. Look for a certified pet dog trainer. read more

I have been a loyal customer at PetSmart for 5 years. My dog has been groomed for 5 years at the grooming salon, however, recently the management team has decided to deny my dog any services because of my dog's misbehavior. My dog has always been hyper and the grooming team has always managed to complete the grooming process. My dog is a Yorkshire terrier weighing 12 lbs., basically a harmless dog. As pet professionals, PetSmart employees should be able to handle situations such as these. In addition, the groomers would always misinterpret the grooming style I wanted for my dog. I liked the grooming salon because of the affordable price, but I highly recommend that you choose a place that provides great customer service for you and your dog even if it is on the pricey side. There is nothing better than dealing with people who are actually professional experts. read more

The cat groomer is really rude and didn't do a good job. Wouldn't recommend taking your cat to get their nails clipped if you have a cat.

This review speaks to the grooming and day camp services. We love the grooming at PetSmart. I'd give it 4 stars because our dog always looks great when he's finished with grooming. We've taken our pup there 3 times for grooming. The first experience wasn't the best but we also had just adopted him and his fur coat was in shambles due to GI issues and malnourishment. Outside of our first grooming, they trim his tail perfectly and toe nails well too so they don't scratch our hard wood floors at home. You have to be very specific in what you want. I think that would've help our first grooming but we were new dog parents and didn't know better. The doggy daycamp is great for our pup because he's got a lot of energy to burn. We're in the process of home-training him so that he can stay at home by himself out of his crate (he loathes his crate). At times, it seems that there's not enough humans in the playroom to ensure that they aren't getting into things they aren't supposed to - like humping, sniffing and maybe even licking poop, or other ill behaviors. Now, don't get me wrong - these things don't happen frequently (we take our pet here 3-5x per week and I've maybe witnessed this once per month but it's all the other times your not there that you don't know whats happening - good or bad). However, in my mind, there should always be 3 people in the play area: 1 to clean up quickly after the pups, 1 to usher the dog into or out of the play area, and 1 person to back up both of the other two. Usually, I've only seen a max of two people in the play room. In my mind, PetSmart is much better than some of the local doggy daycamp businesses because the local places look like shelters inside. The staff in the store are friendly and helpful. I love their grooming salon and have been sending my dog here for the last 3 years.
