I have had excellent service at this banfield and have been coming for about 10 months now. The front desk staff is very nice, and attentive. the Vet Techs are very knowledgeable and always helpful when needed. I've also had pleasant experiences with the vets here too in comparisons to other banfields. i also love that i can get appointment times that are feasible to my schedule and they aren't used booked out 2-3 weeks such as others. i feel as if they always take good care of my dog and are always thorough with their analyses as well. i plan to keep coming to this location. read more

Multiple dead fish in the fish tanks, some looked as if they were there for a hot minute. The staff member that was getting the fish for us was tossing them all around in the bag. When I asked if that would harm the fish, she responded with "no, it doesn't affect them" when it's the opposite. Save your time and go to Petco where they will actually give you healthy fish and valuable knowledge. read more

About 3-4 years ago I took my Bishop to the same location where he contracted a very bad skin infection, so why would I start bringing him back to expect a different experience. They are usually ALWAYS running behind, so today when I showed up 17 minutes late (12:37) for my 12:30 appointment to find two staff working on one animal and refusing to take my Bishop because she said they were closing at 3:30p, their new store hours, I felt that was odd. Jo C reported the new store hours, she is the second rep to report the new hours; when I dropped him off a few weeks back I was told I needed to get him or he would be locked in after 3:30, their new hours. Can anyone confirm this new hour deal? I just need a consistent, reliable and honest establishment. I do not recommend Petsmart. read more

The selection of pets EVERYTHING is vast! I went there assuming it was going to be like the pet isle like I'm at Walmart & this is no comparison! I stood in the kitty pet toy isle for at least 20 minutes just trying to decide on some toys for my kitty!!! The selection and options for pet toys is basically endless. If you can't find something for your pet here then it's a lost cause! They have the biggest selection of different foods for your pets as well. My advice to anybody shopping here is to sign up for the pet perks! It's free and they can do all sorts of things like email your receipt at checkout, send you coupons and offers, and get the best in store prices! The selection for kitty things was huge, I didn't check out the dog stuff but their section was way bigger so I suggest it for all pet owners & lovers! PetSmart - Tons of pet toys!!! - Pet Training Near Me - Slidell, Louisiana

My cat was throwing up, not eating, and barely drinking water. I called to make him an appointment on day 5 of all of this going on. I was told that the only fee I would have to pay to get him seen was $60.95 for the visit. I made it clear that he was a first time patient. Once we got there I was told that they would have to do blood work for an additional $200 as he was a first time patient and they couldn't give medication without it. I had to leave my cat there as I was not allowed to be with him and received a call from the vet about 10 minutes after dropping him off. She said she did not need to do the blood work, but he needed x-rays which was $288. She would be doing the x-rays and viewing them...they would not be going to a radiologist. I got another call about 15 minutes after that from the vet saying my cat needed fluids, another set of x-rays, and to stay for observation for a few hours. Almost $500 later and several hours, my cat was sent home with no answers and no suggestions. I realize that the vets don't set the prices at this store, but honestly I felt that money was all they worried about and my sick cat wasn't important at all. I will not be back and I suggest finding a local vetinary clinic, which is what I did! read more

9/18 at the store in Slidell, La. Dog adoption with 7 days SPCA going on with the cat room locked. It is always locked and hard to find someone. The cats could have gotten attention and possibly adopted as a couple were there waiting. If the cats are only handled for litter change It is really sad to keep them in cages where they can't run around. Why not have a weekly cat adoption day or monthly at least and promote it read more

The grooming salon is great! Everyone is so sweet and makes me feel comfortable to bring my puppy Dante. He gets really excited and they are always happy to see him! Enough parking spaces and if you are dropping off your pup there is lot's of shopping and restaurants near by! ( Dicks, Steakhouse, best buy, ect.) read more

This location has great reviews however, my experiences were not great. I do not like leaving bad reviews, but I visited this location 1 month ago and again on yesterday (6/19/17). My first experience I asked for assistance with cat adoption. A store employee passed by me 3 times and never offered assistance. The employee I asked originally for assistance just looked at me and did not offer assistance, I left. I wrote a letter addressing my experience and I was contacted by the store manager. So fast forward to 6/19/17 I have a new dog and I scheduled a grooming appointment. My husband and I walked into the grooming salon and we were not greeted. Another customer comes in and they were addressed immediately. We spoke to the store manager Kristy who was very nice and apologetic. She offered to accommodate us, which was appreciated. However, for this location it is our last visit. Maybe I am old fashioned, but a little acknowledgement goes a long way for me. I totally understand that people are busy, and I am just one of many customers. A little customer service goes a long way in my book. read more

I bought four fantail goldfish and supposed to receive two free but Ashley who waited on me never mentioned this. I read the ad but declined because I only needed four. The next morning one was dead when I called up Ashley answered and asked me to bring in the dead goldfish I didn't have the dead goldfish anymore. I asked her if I could get the two free ones that I needed now she told me to bring the three live ones in a refund would be made and then I could get the two free ones. Of course I'm not going to bring the 3 live ones in for a refund of course not. I will never do business with PetSmart again. read more

I have been here a couple of times to purchase things for my dogs. I've always been impressed by the customer service given at this store. But today I was impressed on several different occasions by numerous employees and their willingness to help and educate me on ways that I can best take care of my dogs. One of their employees, Bryan, was incredibly helpful with informing me of the different behavior correction methods I can use with my puppy. He was very thorough in explaining their training program and encouraged me to enroll my one year old puppy to hopefully help her with her disobedience. Furthermore, Crystal was incredibly friendly while assisting me at check out and engaged in conversation with me while I was there. She even gave me a coupon from one of their mailings that I personally hadn't received to save me some money. Well done to this store on showing their customers that they care. I will definitely be back and am looking forward to working with them on training my pup. read more

Ok, so I though petsmart had gotten a bad rap when it comes to grooming but today I was proven wrong, I have a 8 month old Labradoodle who is 25 lbs. The groomer was incapable of working with him even tho, yes he's a bit difficult but they should be trained to handle that, I payed for a bath, groom, and filing. I dropped him off early in the morning at 9 and didn't get to pick him up till 3:30, he was difficult with the high pressure hair dryer but that sounds like it would be common, he so he sat there damn for hours before they trimmed his hair. They couldn't cut all his nails because he got route I asked her why she didn't put a mussle on him, she said she didn't think about it. So he was unevenly cut and half his nails are log and he sat there over 6 hours. He also came back scared and very anxious. I brought him to a different groomer a few months ago and had absolutely no problems, all things were done in less than 3 hours, he was happy and calm when picked up so I know it is not him, also it was cheaper. Germaine said she was extremely experienced yet handled him badly. I would say she is only decent with older, very small, dogs that have been to a groomer many many times, I would never suggest bringing your pup to this petsmart or any. Never again.
