Terrible. We used Notorious D.O.G. several times over about a two year period.  They do a pretty good job grooming, but I would stay away.  This business has a history of lying. Our poodle mix has anxiety and takes a couple of days to recover from a trip to the groomer or vet. We tried to arrange appointments for him so we could deliver him and pick him up in a reasonable amount of time, but D.O.G. insisted we just bring him early and they would make sure they finished him quickly so he could be picked up.  They apparently use the ASAP acronym. They were keeping him 8 to 10 hours, so we started using other groomers.  None of the other groomers matched the actual grooming services of D.O.G., so we tried going back. When making the appointment we were assured Ollie would be taken "ASAP" and returned. When calling to check. they kept pushing out the completion time.  He was there for about 6 hours. The next appointment I was adamant I wanted him in and out, and even tried to make an actual appointment to drop him off, then pick him up when he was done.  I was assured AGAIN he would be done "ASAP", and that an appointment was not necessary.  Just drop him off at 8:30, and he would be"first".  We called at 12 and was told it would be another two hours.  We called at 2 and was told it would be another two hours.  Ollie was there for 8 hours, and was parched when we picked him up.  He was so thirsty that he drank for about two minutes when we got him home.  It takes him days to recover when he is kenneled all day with insufficient food / water.  What really made me the angriest was how they lie.  I was very clear in every communication that I expected him to be kept no more than 4 hours.  They agreed to my requests, then failed to deliver, every time.  This was my experience, so if you value honesty, integrity, and top notch pet care, I recommend you find another groomer. read more

Saturday was the first time Rosie and Daisy went to the Notorious D.O.G and their faces proved it was worth it! We've been going to Pet Co for several years, but since their prices have doubled, we wanted to try something new. The staff is friendly and the prices are just right! They took a suspicious amount of time to trim my 3-month old -- 10 lb puppy. I was the first to arrive in the morning when they opened the doors & they supposedly started him right away. So it shouldn't have taken them all of 3 hours to finish him. I called a few hours in to check on him and he still wasn't finished. I ended up driving back before they called me because I was concerned by the amount of time they were taking to do so little. I couldn't get a straight answer from the front desk when I inquired why it took so long to trim my puppy who was first in line. I was told that he was started as soon as I dropped him off at 8:30, but somehow wasn't finished until 11. So I asked if they stuck him in a crate for a long period of time and she couldn't look me in the eyes to answer.. I arrived as early as possible to be the first in line so that my puppy could be done first because I didn't want him sitting around in a crate in a strange place. I won't return for this reason. These people are a fraud. You leave them with instructions on how to groom you animal, and they do what they want to do once you leave. But the messed up part is, when you return to pick up you dog and find out nothing way done to your liking, you tell the Manager about it. Then she gets and attitude with you and try and make it about her and her staff. This is so she doesn't have to compensate for the mistake that's been made. If you go to thos business PLEASE BEWARE! I have been going to this groomer for years, but the last two experiences there have not been great. I was told when making appointment that they were short staffed and could not see me for two weeks, on day of appointment I arrived just after they opened. Only left one star because Im forced to in order to leave a review which could of been avoided if accountability and remorse was given when it was deserved but not at this place instead the response here was take me to court and even went as far as to call the police WOW!!! How about that? The audacity and sense of entitlement by the owner is outrageous. Not only will your dog be attacked by owners THREE dogs that are unleashed as soon as you walk in the building but your dog will also be returned to you unrecognizable and cut to the skin on multiple areas and they don't even have the decency to tell you . At this point it's not even about the money it's the principle it's the not owning your part of bad service and the lack of remorse. We trusted you with a member of our family that cannot speak for itself. We trusted you with her a decision we now have to live with in regret the day before her birthday so of course her big photo shoot had to be cancelled. We cry every time we see her cause of the bad decision we made trusting you. Please keep in mind that our fur baby is well behaved and has been professionally trained $2500 worth to be exact so I repeat this post is not about the money for us . We own several businesses and our fur baby sits in with us at multiple locations and is loved by everyone that comes in contact with her except for the place we would expect it to. And no we wasn't offered a refund or a future credit which we expected... I mean if you can't even admit your wrong and apologize of course your going to keep the money. Both of my yorkies were cut very well. They did exactly what I requested. Very friendly and efficient.

There was no trade off. I was told the day before to bring her in for 9 am and I did. You took in too many dogs that day to keep your word and have her back to me for round noon. Furthermore your staff was very rude when I mentioned this to them. I have discovered a lot of people have been treated badly by y'all. read more

For those who are unaware, Notorious D.O.G also grooms cats. I've had my long-haired cat Molly shaved twice with them now, and they did a fantastic job both times. (Molly can be a bit of a diva, and has even been known to scratch and bite) Not only did they try and make the atmosphere as pleasant for her as possible by taking her first thing in the morning (before all the yappy dogs arrived), but they were very gentle and patient with her. She didn't seem to mind at all, and actually seems to really like being pampered by the team there. The price was a little bit more than other cat groomers in the area, but the experience was well worth the extra. read more

My baby Sammy just had his first visit today. They take walk-ins most days of the week, so I arrived early around 9am to drop him off. The staff was super nice and asked the right questions. I immediately felt comfortable leaving Sammy in there care. When I went to pick him up several hours later they told me he had done very well, and that they had all fallen in love with him! He was very happy to see me, but was not shaking or upset like he was after being groomed at one of the big box pet stores. They did a good job on our two dogs but they didn't do what I specifically asked. I told them that I wanted ALL the butt fluff and fringe off the legs and underbelly gone. I repeated myself a few times but they assured me that they knew what to do, they understood. When I picked them up - the butt fluff was not gone and fringe not removed. This is definitely an awesome find for me and my lil shih tzu! First time trying a groomers in Slidell since moving here and needless to say I was being an over-worried mommy. I was having visions of picking up my dog to see areas where they skimmed to close and make her bleed (okay, maybe too dramatic, but hey it has happened!). However, I'm so glad I went with this little business! They did a fantastic job giving her a short summer cut and they listened to my preferences about leaving her tail long and her ears short, and sent her home with me with an adorable little bandana around her neck - AND, no boo boo's :) Didn't need an appointment, which was fantastic... and you definitely can't beat the price! Don't let the negative reviews stop you from giving this little gem a try. I am glad I didn't read the reviews first because I may not have gone and would've missed out on a positive experience. First off I will say my dogs don't require 'grooming' just baths, nail clip and anal gland expression, they have short hair. I do have on fur baby that is allergic to everything so she has to have hypo allergenic soap and cannot be given any traditional dog treats. The groomers and the woman working the front desk appeared to take that seriously and were sensitive to her needs. That trait is hard to find, many times when I tell people that they think I am an over protective mom and although I am sure I am, her allergies are real and have serious implications if she's bathed with the wrong soap or given the wrong food. It was nice to feel heard when describing her needs and not dismissed. It was obvious they listened because she was fresh, beautiful, not itchy or broken out when I picked her up. It would've been very obvious had they not listened 30 mins after a bath without the right shampoo, etc. Not only were they caring and friendly here but they were FAST with no appointment! Dropped them off at 9:30 and had them by noon. Again, this is because they are short haired dogs and they can fit baths in easily. But YAY! Because that too is hard to find even with bath only grooming! Even more good news, LOW PRICES! I can't believe how inexpensive it was to have this service done and so quickly. I actually called them because I didn't think they charged me correctly, I thought maybe something was missed on the services. Let's recap, caring staff, friendly, good listeners, and low cost! The first time they tried to fix it after 3 phone calls, I tried them again and the dog is so choppy. He has thick hair I get that but you are a dog groomer. Great groomers for our three LARGE shepard/chow/border collie mixes!

I brought in my three dogs (a Pekingese, a Lab mix, and a Chow mix) as a walk-in after neither Petco or Petsmart could take them. The facility is very clean, and the staff is pleasant and friendly. They did a beautiful job bathing and grooming all three, and their prices were quite reasonable. I was also pleased that they provided me with an itemized receipt that detailed all costs. Brought my Poodle puppy in for her first grooming. She had some mats. I was told that she would have to be shaved but "not as close as shaving your legs" ! When I picked her up I was stunned. She was shaved to the skin. The little bit of hair left on her face was lopsided and they didn't even clean the tear stains. I told the groomer she looked awful. Called when I got home to voice my concerns to the owner. She said it was my fault because of my indecisiveness! They are supposed to be the experts. Some length of hair could have been left! They took the lazy way out! I said I wouldn't be coming back. Have two Poodles and have used them for two years. The owners answer to my statement that I wouldn't be returning was Fine! Not very good customer service! I'll be taking my two Poodles where my business is appreciated and they do a good job! Sad! read more

I've been using the Saturday services from NDOG for about a year or so now. The price point is good and I've never had any issues with their grooming standards. Granted, all I ever do is a basic cut so I'm not sure if they can do some crazy show cuts; but I have a pom, yorki and shi tzu that I bring there and they look great at the end of the day! read more

DO NOT BRING YOUR ANIMALS HERE! I brought my dog here, who is very well behaved, and when I picked him up he had multiple razor burns all over his body. The owner denies all burns that were put onto my dog and did not own up to anything. Very unprofessional. My dog is still suffering. After the 50$ spent on the actual 'haircut'/ burning, I then had to spend 42$ on getting things needed to treat the burn. read more

Run, (do not walk) away from this groomer! Went on a recommendation & my dog has paid the price!!!! Spoke with Dawn, the owner who quoted me a price of $25 for my Yorkie. Yet when I went to pick him up, the very rude groomer told me the price was $35. When I told her that Dawn had quoted me $25, she said, "Well, she's just the owner. I'm the groomer & I know what I charge!! " But worse than this was what she did to my 6 lb. Yorkie!!! He wimpered the whole way home & when I got home & looked him over from head to toe & I discovered that he had a clipper burn the size of a fifty cent piece on his private parts! The poor baby was in pain & miserable! I had to go buy him a cone collar & keep antibiotic cream on him 24/7 for the last 6 days! Holding him was the only way to keep him calm & still....which I have done for 6 days! I called back(3x) to speak with Dawn but just got voice mail. She has never called me back!! Don't know about Dawn, but the groomer for sure needs to be reported! She is very rude & uncaring! The vet said he had several patients who had similar issues with this business!
