    Our new fur baby

I adopted a new family member from here but what really sets this Store apart from other pet stores is that they feel like they really care. Each staff member knew the exact Cat I was adopting, were very excited for him, and they gave all the recommendations and advice to help make the transition as smooth as possible Shout out to Madeline who always says hi to the fur babies walking in, Serenity , Isabella, Miguel. Very special shout out to Bill and Kneading Kittens for having such a powerful mission and Petsmart for working together. Cupid is very happy in his new home!

Most patchy shave job of all time

I do not recommend this grooming salon. I didn't know it was possible to shave a dog so unevenly. I brought my mini poodle in for a groom and asked that he be evenly shaved everywhere. He came home with a long, uneven mustache and the most patchy shave job I've ever seen. I've spent the past day scissor trimming every section so I'm not embarrassed when I take him out for a walk. I gave one extra star since the employee that created this abomination was at least friendly.

Smaller Petsmart store in Scottadale- easy access and tons of parking. I had every staff member say hello, greet me, ask if I needed help and always had a smile on their faces. I actually saw them helping other customers as well, which is usually rare (I go to Petsmart way toooo often). Ashton was very helpful and was the first cashier to ever request if I wanted to use my Treats Rewards points! Thank you Ashton! I always realize when I get home that I had points- so thank you for offering, I greatly appreciate it. Tip: Price match all items on Chewy.com or Petco.com before you buy them! I save tons by comparing. Literally one item was $7.99 in Petsmart and on Chewy.com only $2.79- don't throw your money away, save it for another dog toy instead :)

We understand low inventory, and short staff- but my goodness!!! The lady, excuse me as she lacked a name tag, was insulting and beyond rude. We started on the wrong foot, apparently, and checked out accordingly.... We used a $50.00 bill, apparently it looked like we would pass a fake bill as the woman used her counterfeit pen not once, but TWICE. Adding to a quote unfortunate experience, our bags were tossed at us with not a word. I believe, "Have a nice evening/day" would have taken less than 1.2 seconds. Thanks for nothing, Petsmart.

PetSmart is a great, not good, but a great pet store! We have shopped here and at several other locations in four different states with always the same high quality results. We have also used their pet adoption services, as well as their pet grooming which is also great! Nice employees who really care and are very helpful. A big WOW!

    Neglected fish :(

I know chain pet stores have no standards for their fish on display but the fish section of this particular pet smart is atrocious. Nothing looked healthy. What really caught my attention was the betta fish. The majority of the selection of bettas were dead or seriously ill. I think I counted about 2 healthy-looking bettas. Then there was this extra neglected section that actually sickened me enough to write this review. Picture is attached, showing GREEN WATER in several cups. How long will it take for some employee to notice this? Long enough for that to happen is the unfortunate answer. I know most people think oh well it's just a couple fish who cares. This is neglect and abuse and it's wrong, chain pet stores need to stop mass-selling bettas for this exact reason!

Dog friendly - as if you didn't know that! The grooming center always tells me that my dog was great for them, which is weird because I cannot even get her to look at a bath tub much less get in one. They always seem to up sell my husband on something but maybe he just likes to spoil our dog more than I do - hard to believe, I know. Is it just me or is this store dimly lit? The lighting makes it feel a little dingy. I'm pretty certain that every time we come to this location that Wyatt is goofing off.

Just wanna say for those of you looking to buy some fish, their fish are all diseased and are currently in horribly kept conditions. Every last one of them. Take my advice and look elsewhere. ANYWHERE ELSE. I bought 7 otocinclus and 4 plecos. All 11 fish died, and they brought a nasty parasite into my tanks even after I quarantined them. Killed all of my fish. It was heartbreaking, as I had them for years without any issue. That was a couple months back. Here I am back again just taking a look at what they have and cannot believe what I'm looking at. Over 20 dead neon tetras in this tank, I counted. All infested with ICH badly, and clearly the dead fish have been in there for days, as their little bodies have started to decompose. Just absolutely disgusting.

I could not figure out why nothing was working. A colleagusuggested that I try a dog trainer named Bob Solomini that he had used in the past. His passion and confidence in Bob convinced me and even though I was very skeptical and worn out I decided to give it one last try. I am excited to tell you about my invaluable experience and what I learned from it: -my dog was only a small part of the problem, but the majority of the behavioral problems stemmed from me. Dogs aren't born knowing how to behave the way humans would like them to, so we as responsible dog owners need to teach them. -we don't automatically realize what we are doing wrong and unless a true professional who really cares can teach us the correct way we can't be sure that we will ultimately have a happy relationship with our pet. -after four years of pulling my hair out and stressful walks with my dog I wound up moving to a new neighborhood, and my dog was totally out of control when I walked him. When he saw people with dogs, he went crazy and I could not stop him from barking and pulling. In fact, he pulled me down a couple of times where I sprained my ankle and another time where I hurt my knee. In fact, most of my neighbors walked the other way when they saw us and complained about my dog's bad behavior. After the first lesson, I immediately knew that I had found something different. Humane, focused,, professional, and results driven. I am so lucky that I found all American K-9 and especially Bob Solomini. I love walking my dog now, and all of my neighbors have praised the incredible transformation that they see. This was literally a life-changing experience for my dog and for me. I am so thankful that I found somebody that really knows what they're doing and really cares -not only is Bob a great person, but also the Best dog trainer that I have ever met. I highly recommend this trainer and business to anyone who is serious about having a great dog!

Before training, Maggie was almost impossible to walk, constant leash pulling, barking, and reactivity that made it embarrassing to take her anywhere. Since our very first lesson, she has completely transformed. She's calmer, more responsive, and so much easier to handle. Now I can take her with me to Lowe's or PetSmart and she walks right next to me, relaxed and focused. I even get compliments from people about how calm she is. Bob explains everything clearly and gives you tools that actually work. If you're looking for a trainer who truly knows what he's doing, this is the place.

They are a wealth of knowledge and I successfully implemented many of their suggestions. For example, a "softer" approach to the prong collar I was using, and better timing with the remote collar. I now realize I talk too much to my dog and should use more indirect, non-verbal "pressure" to communicate commands to my dog. Jose and Monique of JD Powerhouse offer a 6-week DIY Saturday afternoon basic obedience class. I enrolled to "refresh" my ability to "communicate with" or effectively handle my dog. I have participated in various obedience classes with my dog over the years, so my dog was somewhat trained. She's a 4-year-old, American Pit Bull Terrier, with no major behavior issues. José made it clear very quickly that it would not be the best use of money to board and train my dog, Piper. Instead, he offered me a customized package that would maximize the training and my money. This was my first time ever boarding my dogs, and I only scheduled this stay because I had an unexpected family death. Naturally, I was already stressed, and this experience made things worse. When I dropped my dogs off, the front desk employee was working alone. While I understand being busy, the entire check-in process was very disorganized and frustrating. After taking my dogs to the back, she spent time inventorying my items, answering calls, and helping other customers--without once acknowledging me or letting me know I was free to go. I stood there for about 15-20 minutes with no communication, only to eventually be told she didn't need anything else from me. During my dogs' two-night stay, I received zero updates--no messages, photos, or report cards, despite those being features listed in their system. As a first-time boarding experience, this was especially concerning and left me wondering how my dogs were doing the entire time. Pickup was just as disappointing. While bringing my dogs out, one of them got her foot stuck in the doorway and was yelping in pain, and the employee continued pulling her on the leash instead of stopping to help. I was handed my dogs quickly with no update on how they did during their stay. The dogs also smelled so bad when we got them, I had to immediately bathe them when I got home. Overall, the lack of communication, attentiveness, and basic care was very upsetting--especially given the circumstances that led me to need their services in the first place. I had another boarding appointment already scheduled for April which I canceled and will not be returning or recommending this facility.
