My dog loves Doggie Daycare here! The staff treat her very well and are always kind. We love getting updates and hearing about how she did. The pass options and timings for drop off and pick up are very convenient. We have also paired daycare with grooming and the convenience of having her brought right over is perfect so all we have to do is pick her up at the end of the day while getting a few things checked off the to do list. read more

There's a pretty good variety of items at this Petsmart. More toys and food options than I'd seen at other Petsmarts. Didn't see a lot of staff around to ask for help, but there were plenty of groomers in the salon. There was one person at the register and that was it. This is a nice location in Roseville that offers a lot of different services. From grooming, to training, pets hotel and coming soon veterinary services. They offer a lot of different pets as well from birds, chinchillas, cats, fish and turtles. Lots of things you can get here. Prices aren't to bad. I feel Petco is a little more expensive. Horrible service. Take my dog in today for grooming the groomer didn't finish cutting my dog hairs cause he went to the bathroom two time and she stopped cutting his hairs due to that. When pick up my dog literally some of the hairs still on him she could have finish cutting it not that much left on him. Never going to her cutting my dog hairs again. This is my go-to PetSmart because of its convenient location. I really appreciate the staff. They're always friendly, greeting me when I enter and asking about my pets when I check out. The few times I've needed help, they have been more than willing to provide advice. My one complaint about this store is that the products I need are frequently out of stock. It must be a popular store! I've had to leave without items on my list, which is always a bummer. read more

Would leave no stars if I could. I have a cavachon and brought her here for grooming. Her hair was quite long but we looked at her ears and she only had one small snarl so she said she would leave her ears alone, she cut her ears real short, also there was nothing at all wrong with her tail and they cut all the hair off her tail, it looks real strange. I was in the store just a few minutes ago. The girls working in grooming are so kind and sweet. There was another customer in the grooming area, just complaining that they didn't do a good job, they didn't brush her dog. Coming from this customer was just looking for a discount or something for free. But the young ladies working there were still polite and friendly trying to deescalate the situation the customer was causing. I applaud the staff! Petsmart in Roseville, specifically grooming, is awesome. We have been bringing our girl, Trixie (labradoodle) there since we got her. They listen to me when I say "not too poodly" and they get it. Trix always looks and feels (you can tell by her post-grooming swagger) great. Prices are competitive and sometimes you can find coupons. We have had one less than perfect experience there-but 99% of the time, we have no complaints. Check it out. We recommend Arica, Chelsea and Tanya, specifically. read more

My little corgi puppy is spoiled, so we utilize this PetSmart a lot for it's various resources. This location has PetsHotel, the grooming salon, and a Banfield right inside. The PetsHotel was great. My partner and I went on a weekend long trip to Chicago, and was able to get a night free when talking to the employee signing her up. If you're new to PetsHotel, I believe you can get a night free! She also helped us enroll her in a doggy day care, which was cheaper than it was for her to stay an extended time period. Our corgi loved her time there. Banfield is staff is very friendly, but also very busy. Sometimes it's taken close to 10 minutes to get them on the phone, but they are really good about calling and following up. The grooming area also is a very popular area. We were able to get our dog in within about a week for an appointment, and we set it up online. Check into the Puppy Plan for a really chip nail trim and grooming package! read more

Review on the grooming services. Came here with my small dog asking if they could help with a nail trim. The groomer got all upset, and acted like it was such a huge inconvenience. I didn't realize his records were out of date. We tried calling the vet, but they must have been closed for the day and she slammed the phone back in its cradle. I shopped here a few times a couple of years ago and had a very OK experience. This past weekend I stopped by to purchase some fish and a few other products with my wife and we left without purchasing anything as there was no staff visible anywhere to help us and we walked around the store and waited for around 15 minutes. The store didn't even seen busy when we were there. The only member of staff that we could see was a guy who was talking on his cell phone in the entrance. They do have a good selection of products here but a little expensive. I would much rather go around the corner and shop at PetCo. read more

**PSA** For anyone who likes to get their dogs groomed at PetSmart in Roseville, MN, I would HIGHLY suggest you wait and watch your dog get groomed there! OR never go in there and support them! I will never go into another PetSmart again! On Monday, 12/10/18 at 8:00 PM, I walked into PetSmart and saw "Sara", the groomer, grooming a small little dog! I saw "Sara" grabbed the poor dog's snout and YANKED the dog's back super hard! I couldn't hear what she was saying but it looked like she was really upset and angry at this poor dog! I stared more at the way "Sara" was with this dog and she pulled it by the back again. I went to report this horrendous act to the manager and questioned her about their policies on tugging and pulling of dogs while being groomed. This manager lady told me that it was ok for them to do so and it was in their POLICY. She asked if I would like to speak to the groomer, so of course I did! "Sara" apologized to me and said she would never do that, I explicitly told her that I do not need the apologizy and she needs to report this to the dog's owner! As soon as I left PetSmart in Roseville, MN, I called into their customer service and Mary, the rep, told me that tugging and mishandling an animal is NOT IN THEIR POLICY. I hope this will teach "Sara" a lesson and I pray they strip her grooming license away for good! read more

This review is based on the cat grooming services and the dog training classes with Christina. This location has the best customer service on top of the specific staff I'm familiar with. With the exception of dog grooming (we have a poodle that gets s continental clip and go somewhere else), this is where I go for everything. I have a long haired cat and she hates being brushed. I hate doing it because it makes me look like the bad guy and sometimes she nips. So I started going to pet smart for her just to see if it would help with shedding and hairballs. It's such a reasonable price, I take her in every 3-4 weeks now and barely brush her in between. Rachel may be the only one there who does cats, but I think she's a manager or more senior groomer so it's really worth the $. Second part of this review: the dog training with Christina. She's amazing, and a very patient trainer. She explains the steps really well and doesn't even get frustrated with naughty dogs. In fact she doesn't even call them naughty.. Anyway, we took her beginner class and really I learned more about how to train than my dog probably. So if you are looking for that type of instruction this is a good place. Dogs don't really learn it if you only do it once a week so there's definitely only so much a trainer can teach you in an hour. She was very helpful and responsive to specific concerns as well. Also we buy our food and treats here. Never had any serious problems. read more

I am not sure what she did differently; but, it is honestly the nicest he has ever looked. I don't think I even really noticed until we got home. He truly looked and felt amazing! Very unprofessional. Actually came here a couple times but recently I had to wait 2 weeks for my appointment. When my appointment came last second they rescheduled.. then come to find out our next appt was also canceled because someone got covid in the grooming department.. I talked to a manager and was told I'd get a discount and a call back. Never got a call back than was just told by another manager to just go somewhere else.. very unprofressional and they clearly don't care about the hygiene of your dog even when you say you have been waiting for months. My dogs experience with Carley was horrible. Petsmart on Fairview charged me extra because they felt he was a little larger than a normal maltipoo. She shved him so badly. She did review what would happen if she ran into mats. He did have some but not on his ears, tail could have easily been brushed out. The animal humane society had just seen him for shots and felt he was not that bad. I think petsmart does not care what the pup looks like in some cases and just does what's easier. I did get my money back because I filed a complaint with the B B B I'm so disappointed and upset I almost feel like I want to go further with this. My poor baby looks horrible. read more

This review is solely aimed at the groomers and the Pawdicure Plus service. Lately, I upgraded to the "Pawdicure Plus" when I take my pup in. It advertises a whole bunch of stuff that's included. Two items included are a teeth brushing and an ear cleaning. The tooth brushing consisted of the groomer lightly running a toothbrush across my dog's teeth once. It took 3 seconds. The ear cleaning consisted of taking a cotton ball, putting it in my dog's ears for 1 second each, then being done. Look, that's not a tooth brushing or an ear cleaning. You might as well just blow some air in my dog's ear and call it that. A few of the items included in the Pawdicure Plus weren't even given to my dog. The nail trim and grind were acceptable, that's the only reason it didn't get one star. read more

Erin the groomer is incredible. Patient and kind to our Aussie. Our poor girl has a fear of just about everything and Erin sets her right at ease. I've also worked with the hotel. Melissa is caring and seems to really enjoy being around the pets. Highly recommend both grooming and the hotel. read more

My review is for the pet hotel. We made a reservation here a week before our actual trip, where we scheduled a week long stay for our cat, and thank god we did or we would been out of luck hours before we left for our trip. We scheduled our cat to stay here for the day due to some work being done on our apartment. The only thing you have to do before your appointment is drop of vaccination requirements. My cat is uneasy with strangers and takes time getting adjusted, he hates his carrier or is very grumpy, so anytime we take him somewhere he needs to adjust. My boyfriend went to drop him off for our reserved day at the pet hotel only to be turned away because our cat was uneasy as I mentioned before. He does hiss and swat, but if he can walk around, smell and get adjusted, he's fine. The handlers would not let my boyfriend take him out of his carrier and only after pleading , he was only given a few minutes to allow our cat to adjust. I am very upset that a location designated to handle pets was not comfortable handling a cat who was entering a new environment with strangers and that we were turned away at such a last notice, we were left to scramble and be late to work to find a place for our kitty. If behavior is such a concern, then it should be scheduled a head of time that behavior be assessed, also had our cat been given reasonable time to adjust as well as attention and comfort from the handlers,he would have been fine. I do not recommend solely off the handlers inability to comfort pets who are entering new environments. read more

We have brought our dog here twice on two different occasions to do the Doggy Day Camp while we spend our day checking out Minneapolis. The staff at the Doggy Day Camp has always been very professional and helpful in answering any of our questions. They also make sure to give us a Pawgress report to let us know how our dog did. The "pet daycare" or whatever it's called where there is a very small room with a large window where you can see what's going on, I was very appalled at what I saw. There were 16 large dogs, age puppy to seniors and they were all jumping on one another, one got in a fight the two minutes I was watching so I can only imagine how many get injured or in a fight daily, a dog drank another's dog pee off the floor, one stepped in the poop pile, another fell off the slide, another dog was playing with a puppy and slipped and hurt its leg and was limping, there were dogs trying to hide under the plastic equipment they use which is just dangerous on the concrete slippery floor especially when the one angry looking man watching the dogs is standing there continuously mopping the floor so it's wet constantly, there were a few very stressed out dogs that did not want to be there and they looked scared as well and very uncomfortable. I spoke to the manager and she just said corporate allows it so there's nothing she can do when I said I was very concerned when I was watching for the few minutes I did. Bottom line, if you give a crap about your DOG DO NOT BRING THEM TO PETSMART DAYCARE/use their boarding facility. This place should be CLOSED DOWN! read more

My husband and I boarded our cat, Daphne, while we traveled many miles for a wedding. Immediately, Rob was so sweet, and helpful. It was our first time boarding our new rescue cat. Upon our return, we came home to a devastating house fire. Thank god Daphne was boarded. When we retrieved Daphne after a few days, they helped us pick out her food, as they remembered what she liked. A litter box, litter, food, and water dishes. They were so sympathetic to our unfortunate situation. They even complimented Daphne's disposition, as she is a lover. As we checked out, Matt and Rob threw in some extras and didn't charge us much for the essentials, just the boarding. Ray and I are so grateful. We will be life-long PetSmart Roseville patrons. I have been a customer of this hotel for a little over a year. Throughout this year I have noticed what seems like constant turnover in the PetsHotel. Employees I enjoyed talking with are suddenly gone and this is happening every few weeks, especially in recent months. The reason for my anger, my review, and my discontinued business when it comes to this hotel is because of a recent conversation I had with a supervisor there (I'm not sure if she works in the hotel or also out in the store since I had only seen her a couple of times until now). I asked about where a number of past employees are and I was told (inappropriately, but fortunately) that they are quitting for a lot of reasons, but a main one is neglect of the animals in the hotel. I heard stories of pets not getting their proper medications (something I suspected I had experienced with my cat a couple of months ago), of pets not being brought to the vet when they are exhibiting signs that they should be looked at, of dog fights going unreported, and of animals frequently being left overnight or throughout the day with no water in their kennel. The kicker was that management has never done anything about these issues, and so these good employees have left in droves and left only the uncaring and lazy to care for these vulnerable animals. I know that the employees I used to speak with loved animals a lot and had dogs and cats of their own, so It doesn't surprise me that they would quit after being exposed to the neglect and having their attempts to rectify the problems be ignored by incompetent management and an uncaring corporate structure. I took my dog and cat here because it was the cheapest boarding place around, but there's a reason for that. This is the "McDonald's of animal boarding facilities" as the supervisor I spoke with recently put it, and nearly anyone who loves animals would be disgusted with what actually goes on in the hotel on a weekly basis. There is a reason you have to put a fight to do a tour of the hotel (if you can do one at all). read more

This place has a decent selection of fish and tank supplies etc. Tanya is really amazing and knowledgeable of all things fish! However the rest of the people charged with the fish area are completely inept and arrogant. They didn't even know that an Angelfish was a type of cichlid and when I asked them if they any Appistogramas they said they didn't know what those were. Some of them don't even know how to sex the guppies. They tried to pressure me into buying the most expensive version of every brand of tank heater that they had when I asked them about each one. They have fully admitted to me that they only know what the store taught them which in my opinion is extremely dangerous for any fish hobbyists that go to them for information. Petsmart really needs to have some better standards where training is involved and offer them some more in depth education about the areas they are assigned to. read more

I really wanted to like the Petsmart Hotel in Roseville. I liked the general concept and it's a convenient location for us but here is what happened. We took our 10 month old goldendoodle to their hotel for a 24 hour stay. When we brought him home he was constipated. He walked around our backyard for 15 minutes trying to poo and it just wouldn't happen. He finally did get a big clay ball out that got stuck all over his long hair. It was the most disgusting thing I have ever had to deal with. He's never had any problems pottying in the 8 months we have had him. I called Petsmart to ask what had happened and they said that he did not go # 2 while he was there. They do not take the dogs outside to potty but make them go in a pheromone treated room. She went on to say this is common for most dogs when they visit the first time. A dog that potties outside is confused about pottying inside. I would have really liked to know this prior to booking his stay. They even gave me a card that said he did go potty while there which contradicted what the woman on the phone told me. I would not recommend taking your pooch here. read more

Petshotel is horrible. My dog left there covered in her own pee. I'm certain she was stuck sleeping on the hard floor because there is NO WAY she'd have laid in it if there was a proper, raised bed, plus her elbows were raw. The place seems understaffed and when I asked if she'd gotten the extra play time I'd paid for, I was given a song and dance..Did she get the nail trim I asked for? Of course not! I will never go back. Corporate greed keeps them from spending a little extra on staffing and supplies. They suck. read more

I have always shopped at petsmart, all my life. I've owned fishes, birds, hamsters, cats and most recently a puppy and I always came to petsmart, more of the Maplewood location. But as I was booking an appointment for my puppy for the grooming salon, the Rosedale location was only free. I love the rosedale area. I've worked there for awhile too. But this petsmart, well more so the groomers, treated my boyfriend, my puppy and I horribly. From the second I walked in, to the second we walked out of the salon. My puppy doesn't really socalize with dogs but we try to do our best based on our schedule. I got a call after 1 1/2 hour of dropping her off, and they told me they were unable to do anything because of her behavior. We went to pick her up and they told us they did everything but trimmed her nails and talked about how bad of a behavior she has. The lady (sadly, I didn't catch her name) said we are not allowed to return to that location. We even had paid full price for the grooming. If anything, PLEASE AVOID this location for grooming!!! The cashiers and everyone else were really nice, other than that one groomer. I will be calling to speak to the manager about this tomorrow. read more

This PetSmart Hotel was a terrible experience!! I do not endorse their services. I had my dog stay one night noting on all of the required paperwork he was a nervous and scared dog and judging by the experience and lack of experienced staff, they clearly did NOT read my notes they require for a stay there. I also had stopped in 2 weeks prior to his stay to take a tour of the facility and was told to go online to review their virtual tour which is a farce of the actuality of the facility. By the time I picked him up the next day, they mentioned they couldn't get him out to go for his bathroom time and I had to go to the back of their "house" to get him. Noting the sea of steel cages and if I had known that was the environment, I would have booked their Luxury suite. Additionally, they tried to say my dog was aggressive. Finding a rope mark on his underside after bringing him home did not leave a positive experience. I would expect he would have been that way if someone had put a rope around him trying to get him out of his kennel. The staff played it off, treated me as an owner with no respect on being truthful about what happened. After 3 times being promised a manager would call me back, I had to keep calling them with no resolve stating my dog was not a good fit? I still do not know what they did to my dog while he was staying there, but you can believe I will be sharing my experience with anyone I can and filing an official corporate complaint to get a refund and I will NEVER bring my dog to one of these locations. Their staff is clearly incompetent and my business as a new customer must be peanuts to them as I never got a call back by an official manager. I am very disappointed as an individual who works in customer service, this would never fly in my book and this clearly does not either. read more
