Friendly, attentive service, good selection of products and a pup wash and nail trim. What more could you need!? Highly recommend!

The person who helped me - long hair, beard, mask - was soooo helpful and amazing! I learned a ton about puppy nutrition, and even how to clip the pups black toenails. They let my pup try treats so we could get ones he was super excited about. I got so much individual attention and the clerk clearly loved dogs. Honestly stellar customer service experience. I'm a total convert - absolutely worth the five extra minute drive past Petco. read more

I ordered 66 cans of cat food and 3 cat toys delivered first thing in the morning. Dizzy loves the chirping toy bird! I think the chirping aggs him on. Always a pleasure to visit with the staff as well. Excellent prices. Mr Dizzy loves the Catit Creamy Tubes and sea captain's choice, and they always got it. Best selection by far. read more

This store came highly recommended by a colleague of mine, she was right. The moment I walked in, I noticed the vast options of products for pets, the staff is pleasant, polite, friendly, knowledgeable and making themselves available to assist customers. I also like the website that has an algorithm to assist you choose the best food for your pet based on age, activity, etc. read more

I have been coming here for Years...top notch pet food and pet supplies store. Offers a super dog bathing area, and they supply a selection of shampoo and conditioners to choose from, and plenty of towels. Friendly Staff and fair prices on pet food, and a great assortment of pet treats, toys, and supplies! read more

Excellent pet store in our neighborhood. Convenient, good selection and fair prices. The treats and toys are in lower bins so your pooch can give 'em a sniff or toss a toy around! Our dog Mila has picked out quite a few toys here and the staff has always been helpful. Pet Supplies Plus is the 3rd largest pet store chain in the country behind PetSmart and PETCO, but these stores' owners are franchisees with local ties so give them a try if you are looking for an alternative. read more

Found myself driving to this store to get my dog food which I was completely out of and because all other stores were closed. I walked up to the doors at 7:45 when they close at 8pm and the doors were locked. Two employees stood at the register unaware staring at their phones. We knocked and yelled to get their attention and at 1 minute before close they looked up, walked over and told us they were closed. I told them I was waiting for 14 minutes at this point and simply needed a bag of dog food and they said they couldn't help me because they were closing in 1 minute and they only had two employees. I'm extremely frustrated and will not be coming back to this store again. read more

Great neighborhood pet store. I always get greeted when I walk in. Staff are always seeking ways to help and praise my noisy and nosey dog. They even rolled out curbside pickup! read more

I absolutely Love this place. I've shopped other pet stores but nothing beats Pet Supplies Plus. Plenty to choose from, even the younger staff are knowledgeable. I like to shop the store sometimes so ordering on line is next since i know what they have and what my kittys like best. Thanks PSP. read more

They always have what I need in stock and the staff is very helpful. I did bring in my large dog a few weeks ago to use the self serve wash and that was nice. Much easier than trying to do it at home. You should bring your own brush for when you're drying your pet and nail clippers. I should add that they do provide the rubber tipped brushes,shampoo/conditioners and towels for the bath. I will definitely be back anytime my dogs or cat need anything. read more

I have a new rescue dog named Cal. Brought my dog in to get his nails Clipped by the Man who does them and had a very sad and poor experience. I told the man that this was a new rescue and that I had never done this with this dog before . There was no greeting my dog, asking his name or petting and getting to know him. He proceeded to put us up against the wall right by the cash register where it was busy amd told me to just hold him.. well that did not go well. My dog decided to nip him. Then the man said " you can leave now, bring him back in 2 weeks". I have been a long standing customer of this store and you have lost my business. I think that if this is the type of service you give then you should rethink it. It was impersonal, and unprofessional. I do not recommend going there if you have a new rescue. read more

I agree with Manny B's review. It happens to me every time I shop there. And sometimes it being on the cellphone. Not a single acknowledgement. Maybe we are not those crazy cat lady or those lady with little annoying dogs that buy the cheap pet food that thinks they're getting great deal on pet food. Because I was standing behind one of those customer before and he treated the customer like a human being and asked all the questions he was suppose to at check out and even strike up a conversation that holder up the line. When it was my turn, didn't even bother asking me or adding the food towards the free bag which I honesty don't care that much for. Sometimes you want to give benefit of the doubt that somebody is having a bad day, but not in this case apparently some of us are not humans. Somebody is just a bitter person that picks and choose who they just want to be nice to based on the outside. Business is not struggling so I guess they don't need customers to keep sales up for payroll to be able to afford employees. In retail you lose a customer and gain a new customer all the time. So I give 1 star because yelps star ratings is effected by how many low star vs high star rating per person. I honestly don't think this place receives a total of 4 star rating. More like a 2.5 or 3 star because customer service is a hit or miss at this place. Did I mention they are independently owned franchise? Maybe he's the owner that's why he doesn't give two about his actions but wants the rest of the workers to do the job done right cause it can't do the job right itself. read more

I like this store because of the extensive variety of cat food. They carry brands I don't see anywhere else. The staff is very friendly as well as being knowledgeable about the products they carry. read more

I went back not too long ago to stock up on cat supplies and had a pleasant experience. The customer service was much better than last time! Thank you :) #happy I enjoy seeing dogs with their owners and other dogs at the grooming station. Some of the dogs at the grooming station have a "oh my God, oh my God, oh my God" face. #bathtime. Those looks are super cute and funny hahahha. I think the prices are just right for the products they have and sometimes they have specials on different products. Besides supplies and are a grooming area, the store also sells fish and I think some birds. I'll be going back soon to get some cat food. read more

Best prices on dog food - hands down. I've shopped all around town and online and nothing gets close to their pricing after store program discounts. Once you join their perks program (which very simple and straightforward - no obnoxious emails or anything) you get better sale pricing and $10 off coupons nearly every month. I used to order from Chewy.com and Pet Supplies Plus is almost $15 cheaper! PLUS you get a free bag of food for every 10 you buy - AWESOME! When you're buying $100+ in dog food each month those savings/perks REALLY add up. Plus the store is super clean, staff is friendly, and they have a wide variety of selection. read more

I went with my dog to check into ear care supplies not sure what she had (got dog from craigslist). Clerk who worked in vet clinic in past told me she had yeast. gave me some home remedy to try.It saved me a vet trip to get same results. I went there to get my dog a bath. The lady couldn't get him into tub. She called me and said I filled out the wrong paperwork. And the said I need to have my dog, well puppy kennel trained and sense I don't she won't be able to dry him off. Also she made me wait 15 mins when I got there cause she had to talk to her co worker. I get it's a hard job but I've had him bathed before and he hasn't had a problem. Overall this place sucks. We'll just this lady was a huge bitch. I've never had a problem here but she was really rude. read more

This is the only pet supply store that I am aware of in the Twin Cities that stocks 50lb bags of hulled sunflower seeds (sunflower chips) that I regularly purchase for my back yard wild bird feeders. The wild bird stores carry smaller bags at considerably more expense. This is a great place to shop and I am truly amazed by the diversity of the inventory, including various items for the back yard birder. The store is conveniently located and is a great asset for the neighborhood. read more

Good selection, not too big or too small, and good prices. Staff is friendly and helpful. There are two groomers, and both have done very good with my dog's nail trimming. They are both very patient and calming. Nail trims were once very stressful for my guy, but with regular visits and tips from the groomers to help get him used to having his paws handled, he does much better every time we go in. read more

My girlfriend and I have been members of Pet Supplies Plus for about three years and have found the service at this location to be particularly poor (we were customers at the Bloomington location before and the service there was great.) One particular incident I remember involved an accident with one of the food bins, which fell on her head. When she approached the clerk about the incident he didn't seem one bit concerned. I have also had several bad experiences with their front counter staff on several occasions. They never seem to be aware of me when I approach the front and are generally rude and/or chatting idly about borderline NSFW topics. I don't remember a time where I was greeted upon entrance or told to "Have a nice day" upon exit. I am very disappointed that this store in particular, especially when the Bloomington store we were familiar with had such great service. We both agree that the Bloomington store is worth the extra trip for the service alone. read more
