Our previous experience, which was our first time, was excellent, but because we dealt with a different groomer recently we will be looking elsewhere. The experience reminded me of going to a dental hygienist who lectures you on your neglect. They suggested drugging our dog to bring her in next time, but that is the last thing I would do. The cut our dog received was very uneven and looked bad. I wish I could remember the previous groomer because I would request him. I had taken my dog thee for a groom. I was satisfied. She then had to have 2 surgeries in one month and needed to recover for several months. When I reached out to take her back in to get her groomed after she had completely healed, I was told they would not groom her again because we hadn't been in there for 6 months...and I explained that she had surgery, etc. Very disappointed. read more

Wow, just wow! I am so happy. The people that work here are amazing. My Biewer Terrier has never come from a groomer smiling and tail wagging. She did today. Historically, when I picked her up from grooming appointments she would launch herself at me. She would cry all the way home. I know she was hit when she was a puppy at Petco. I've been working with jer for 2 years to undo all of that.. These folks were able to make her feel safe and helped turn all that around. The left picture is before cut and right is after cut. I am very, very surprised to read the other review on Zoom Groom. I never take stock in reviewers with only one review on Yelp anyway, but still. I have been taking my mini-doodle Shelby to Zoom Groom since she was just four months old and we absolutely LOVE Anna and the staff. They offer puppy baths for dogs to get them socialized to the grooming process and it was very helpful for our dog. She has absolutely no issues being groomed, brushed or handled because of the great job Anna did with her as a puppy. Doodles, from what I hear from other doodle moms, can be challenging to groom properly (technique-wise), and I have seen a lot of photos of horribly groomed doodles. Anna knows exactly what she is doing with Shelby, and she always comes out looking like a doodle and not a poodle (other doodle owners will know what I mean!). Shelby loves going to see Anna, is never anxious when we walk in, and is always super happy and smiling (yes, smiling) when I pick her up. I have found them to be very flexible and accommodating as well. Their pricing is extremely fair and competitive, and the quality of the services can't be beat. Anna also goes that extra step and hand-makes little hair bows for the pups after their groom/bath - they are so cute! Seriously, I think the previous review must have been a misunderstanding, a competitor, or a dog that has never been properly socialized to being groomed professionally before. I have recommended ZoomGroom to all of my puppy-mom friends, and our doggie daycare recommends them as well!! Took him in this week and he was there for more than three hours, and in that time they bathed him and shaved him. And, then cut off his top knot of hair, something almost all poodles keep, and one I specifically asked to remain with no trimming. Was charged an extra $20 per dog because they were "difficult". Will not return. They both looked great, but I'll drive back across town next time. I took my double-coated, golden doodle to you to be groomed b/c her coat was getting a little difficult to be brushed thoroughly. Zoom Groom came highly recommended from friends, and I never thought to check yelp reviews to see how they did with other doodles. I will never go back. My dog was not badly matted, and yet they insisted this double-coated dog who had been brushed every day of her life needed to be shaved to the skin. 3 months later, and it appears my double-coated dog has had her coated damaged and will never regain the beautiful golden retriever feathering on her legs and sides that she had before. The ONLY part of her that is normal is her tail, b/c I told them to leave her tail alone. That was the ONLY instruction I gave them that they followed - they did what they pleased, regardless of whether or not it was right. I called them up to try to talk to them about this, and one of the owners, Anna, LAUGHED IN MY FACE about my concerns & told me she didn't care if I gave her a bad review. While I'd love to have the $110 back they charged me to shave my dog, or the $20 tip I gave b/c it seemed to be expected, I'll have to settle with letting everyone know that they have terrible customer service and will LAUGH AT YOU if you try to challenge them. read more

I have never written a review on yelp before, let alone a negative one. I had heard great things about Zoom Groom from my family so I decided to give them a try. I was even willing to drive from Minnetonka to Edina with a young baby for the appointment. From the moment I dropped my Golden off, they were incredibly rude. I asked when he would be ready and they didn't specify a time. I received a call at 1:00 PM letting me know my dog was ready. I was feeding my baby at the time so I couldn't answer. They called back at 1:45 and I quickly returned their call. When I spoke with Linda, she gave me a ton of grief for not returning her call. She also said my dog had been waiting for over an hour. I apologized for the delay and let her know I would get there ASAP. Not once did anyone at Zoom Groom mention they had a pick-up policy. It wasn't until after my husband called to speak to the manager, did we learn of the policy. Apparently, for ever hour you are "late" they charge you $20. I had spoken to three people and not one mentioned this. You'd think at some point someone would have said something either when I made the appointment, dropped the dog off or when they called to let me know my dog was done. Not once. Had I know, I would have made myself more than available. Not once did Zoom Groom apologize for their miscommunication. Instead, they charged me $90 for a $70 service and a "you are not allowed to come back here" parting greeting. Needless to say, I was entirely disappointed and I hope no one has to experience what I did today. read more

I purchased the Deal Chicken Zoom Groom package for both of my dogs. Very big mistake on my part. They told me it would take 3 hours. I was called by them about 2. 5 hours later and old that they were unable to groom the Springer spaniel, that he had jumped off he table and that I should come and pick them up. While driving back there I received a second call from them asking me when I was going to be there because they were expecting another client in a few minutes and I needed to pick up my dogs NOW. I told them I was in route. Very disappointed with their services. They also did not offer me any money back on the services charges for the Springer spaniel. I now have to make another appointment with another groomer to complete the services that I already paid for but never received. I strongly urge you to find another groomer as I found the owners to be very incompetent. I do not believe they have been in business more than one year. read more

My first experience was a good one. The reservation process was perfect. Someone called to confirm prior to our appt and even offered an alternate if I felt rushed. I took my dog in and he was greeted kindly and the groomer asked several questions about what I expected. My dog was washed, shaved/clipped, had his toenails clipped and his teeth brushed and anal sacs drained. It took a bit less than 2 hours and my dog was looking great, and happy, when I picked him up. I have only one visit under my belt with ZG, but I was very satisfied. It was explained to me and I did read the notice that they are cage-free and require pickup and dropoff on their schedule. OK then. We did as we should and were very happy with the results, especially at the price charged. Today was the first and the last time I will ever go to this groomer. Not because they did a bad job on my dog, but because the lady at the desk was extremely rude. When I brought my dog there we had discussed how her hair would be cut and the prices. When I got there I was overcharged. The person that had given me the quote in the morning was not the one at the desk when I returned. However the woman came up to discuss my charges. She was extremely rude. She told me she would take off one of the charges and proceeded to ask me if "I was happy with that"? She was very rude and proceeded to go grab my dog and put her in my arms and said we were done. She also asked a lady that walked in right after me to get her dog if we were together and when we both said no she said "Well that's a coincidence". We had just happened to drop our dogs off at the same time, which meant we picked them up at the same time. It just so happens that because this was my first time at this groomer I asked this same lady earlier what she thought of the groomer. She told me she was very satisfied and happy with them. I wish I would have had the chance to talk to her after and see what she thought of the woman at the desk. The worst part is that I am satisfied with the cut, but Unfortunately because of the way I was treated by the woman at the desk. I will never return to this groomer again. read more

I have to say I was so pleasantly surprised when I went to pick up my puppy Crosby after his groom at Zoom Groom. Crosby is a full size goldendoodle that has almost no visable traits of your typical goldedoodle. Crosby has pretty wild hair and alsmost two different types of hair. When I dropped him off he was very excited and the ladies handled that very well. The ladies at Zoom Groom also talked to me before they groomed him and explained some things about Crosby's coat. I really apprciated this information. I left Crosby, knowing full well Zoom Groom is a no kennel facility and I would need to pick him up when the call came he was finished. When I saw Crosby after his groom I could not beleive how beautufl he looked. His coat was cut perfectly and you can tell that the groomer definitely knew what they were doing. I still cannot get over how great he looks. I will definitely be taking Crosby back in the future when he is in need of a groom. Brought my 8 year old Cavashon to Kristine after seeing good reviews. Shampooch was booked too far out and our dog was getting matted. When I picked him up, the groomer told me my dog did not like the dryer at ALL and had tried to bite several times because he was in pain from his teeth. I had to look to make sure she was giving me MY dog! He has never tried to bite before. Unlike my other groomer, Zoom Groom charged extra-- after the fact-- for bringing him down to the shortest cut stating that matts cause extra wear on their equipment. I paid for the wash and cut and the premium for their equipment as well as a fat tip (in horror that my dog had nipped at her.) I booked an appointment with my vet for the next week based on Kristine saying my dog was in pain. On the drive to the vet,​ my dog was extremely nervous and I could clearly see that his visit to Zoom Groom was a negative one. He was shaking and whining. At the vet clinic, the office manager said there were no notations on my dog's chart saying he had ever attempted to nip or bite at their clinic, and if a dog were so inclined, where someone sticks a needle in your backside would be the place! The vet examined my dog and her report states, "I did not see any sores, abscess or other abnormatities... to explain why he would have tried to bit." The vet agreed they did not take enough off doing the nails. Reluctantly, I called the owner at Zoom Groom to say we had a poor experience and I paid for a vet visit based on their report of my dog being in pain. I wished to be refunded $20 for having the nails done again. Linda, the owner, talked to Kristine who said she reported the pain because I said "no" to teeth brushing, saying he was under the care of our vet for his teeth. About the nails not being trimmed enough, Linda said that if I wanted the nails shorter that I would have had to ask for a Dremel​ cut (although the vet just quickly nipped them off.) Ultimately, if Kristine had said she didn't know why he was nipping, that MAYBE it was because of his teeth, that would be one thing. But instead,​ she put the fear of God​ in me, implied that we were neglecting him, that he was a difficult dog, and I ended up paying for a vet visit. I was not mean, nor did I yell. I was uncomfortable even calling Zoom Groom to say it was an unsatisfactory​ experience. But not only did Linda did not offer assurance that the next time they would take extra care, or offer even a partial refund, but suggested I'd be happier going back to Shampooch! And the kicker was... she would mark in their book that our dog should be groomed ELSEWHERE! read more

Former client of Heidi's Elite pet grooming. Was surprised in a bad way when receiving the bill from first visit to Zoom Groom they charged $85 for what I was paying $75 for with Heidi. I inquired about it and did not receive a call back from the owner so yes, they do a nice job, however I think $85 is a bit much for my small non-problematic dog to have the works done. Heading over to Glen Lake where they only charge $50 for the works. read more

Zoom Groom is amazing. The staff is super friendly and always welcomes my sweet dog and me when we walk in the door. My dog is a 70 pound golden doodle who isn't super fond of grooming. She is fussy about her feet and has had bad experiences at other groomers in the past. She ALWAYS comes out of there looking amazing and so happy! These groomers are so caring and treat my dog like their own. In fact, I had my dog groomed today and they said, "She was okay today about her feet. She usually isn't a fan of having her feet fur or nails trimmed, but she did well today!" My pupper only gets groomed once a quarter (I have young kids so it's hard to remember to get her in) but they apparently take great notes and always refer back to them. I would highly recommend Zoom Groom to anyone who wants their special friend to look incredible and be treated with kindness. They are so good that they do book 2 to 3 weeks out, so if you have special occasion coming up, be sure to book well in advance. read more

Zoom Groom did a fabulous job grooming my Maltese who happens to have a coat to the floor and she likes to go for walks so it was time to get it shortened. I explained how I wanted her clipped and they did a great job. Little Miss Bella can have an attitude when being groomed and they had absolutely no problems. I did my homework by reading their website as to their policies, etc. before making the appointment and asking the right questions when I dropped her off. I like that they groomed my dog and called me when I could pick her up. I do not like to leave my dog all day when getting groomed as it's much too stressful for her. I'll be retuning for sure. It can be difficult to find places that will take cats for grooming. I was thrilled to find a place that not only takes cats and keeps a relatively flexible schedule, but remembers him specifically and what he likes/doesn't like. Anna and Linda make him more comfortable than anywhere I've ever taken him! I think it's so helpful that Linda and Anna work together to ensure they get him through as efficiently as possible. Sammy and I both love his lion cut and he gets sooooo many compliments. Zoom Groom is the only place I will take my cat for grooming. read more

Not surprisingly, you place the blame on the customer, that is what you have done in all of your 1 star reviews, apparently you are the only perfect business in business. How nice it must feel to be superior to all...That said, there was no mistake, you were rude, and now you are lying. We tool Sparky to pet smart where he was groomed without incident and there was no mention of 90% matting because it simply wasn't true. I am amazed that in the short time before you threw him at us that you were able to diagnose such a serious problem, but then you are the "superior one". The issue I have is that my brother is mentally handicapped and doesn't lie, he never said Sparky needed to be muzzled, and you even said you were not there when he was checked in. Honestly, I think judging from your hours you wanted to be done early either that or you discriminated against my brother for his mental handicap which is illegal under the Americans with Disability act. Either way, not cool and for you to come back can blame him and flat our lie REALLY uncool. 3 out of 4 one star reviews, I realize you know all, but if it were me I might take a minute to consider that perhaps the customer isn't always wrong, just a thought, but I'm sure you know better. read more
