Daycare here is one of my pups favorite things!…read more My pup went here for YEARS! We have since moved out of the area which is why he doesn't go now. There's an indoor and outdoor area which is nice so the facility can be flexible based on weather where the dogs play. This is not the frills, nap time required kind of vibe. It's an unassuming, barebones facility full of employees who just love dogs and dogs who love dogs. This was what worked for my pup- he doesn't care if it looks pretty to humans- he cares (and I care) how he's treated. And he was treated very well and would be jumping around in the parking lot as we would walk up because he was so excited. And the staff would be excited to see him as well. The cost is in line with other daycares in the area - buying a package will help the per day cost. For my pup - totally worth it.

I've been to other doggy…read moredaycare places (Stone Mountain), but Ruff Love was closer and more convenient, so I thought I'd give it a try. I went in today for an orientation and a walk through at about 10AM. IMO, there were way too many dogs in each area. The dog rooms are small and dimly lit, and all connected, so the atmosphere is very loud. I was shocked at how many large dogs were in such a small area. As we walked through with the staff, a fight broke out between two dogs. Others joined in because there was no where to go. One staff in the room for about 20-25 large dogs. No wonder. There is simply not enough room for the number and size of dogs in that space. I would never leave my dog there.

It was nice to be on the road for work yet be able to see that my dogs were such well-taken care of. Tabatha treats your pets like she would her own animals. I recommend Tabatha so highly that my dog groomer is actually going to pass out Rock Star Dog Walking & Pet Sitting business cards to her customers. When I moved to Minneapolis two years ago, Megan and her team became an invaluable resource for me…read moreand my dog, Nico. We used Come, Sit, Stay for daily walks and numerous overnights when I was been out of town. They were flexible, reliable and - most importantly - SO wonderful with my pup! I used to board Nico when I was out of town, but I hated it; the thought of him in a kennel or in a sterile small room would bum me out big time. But even when I had to go out of town for a 10-day trip, I never worried about my little guy because I knew he was having a blast with Ed, who would walk him a few times a day and stay at my place to keep him company throughout the night. Ed would write up a detailed account of each day and would occasionally text me updates and pics. Ed and Nico were total buddies - one of the hardest parts of moving away from Minneapolis was knowing Nico wouldn't get to have overnights with his bestie anymore! Broke my heart a little :( Pet ownership can be a challenge for singleton transplants like myself - things come up, and it can be pretty difficult when you don't have a partner or local family members who can swoop in and do an emergency potty run if you get tied up at the office, or be on point for feeding and walks when you need to head out of town unexpectedly. Megan, Ed and the rest of the Come, Sit, Stay staff felt like an extended family for me and Nico - always available to help out and provide my furbaby with tons of love. I'm jealous of you Minneapolitans - I wish Nico could still get his daily love from the Come, Sit, Stay team!

Instead of boarding them someplace where they'll be in crates most of the time except for an occasional walk (which you'll probably pay for), Pets Are Inn contracts with pet lovers who take your animals into their home while you away and treat them just like members of the family! We've used them 4 times now and have been lucky enough to get the same family each time (families develop relationships with the animals). The service will pick your animals up for you and drop them off (a great convenience when you're getting ready for a trip). My dogs practically jump out of their skins when the van pulls up because they are so excited to go stay with their "second family!" Upon return, we've always received a little note from the host family with an update about how the dogs did, etc. (They always got to sleep in the beds with the folks, etc.). And the best part? I decided to hire a pet sitter, and I did some research before finding Monica and Purrfect Pet Sitting. I've never hired a pet sitter before, and it was a stretch for me to hand a stranger my keys and trust them with my fur babies, but I had no choice. After having Monica take care of them for just a few days, I knew I had made a good decision. Monica has cared for Wendigo and Banzuke as though she were family. She sent me texts every day with pictures to update me on their status. I was overjoyed when she told me that Wendigo actually "took" to her... Wendigo never even let my own family come near her, but Monica is a cat whisperer, because even in this stressful situation she let Monica pet her and she didn't hide from her. Monica also changed their litter when it needed it, and she followed my meticulous instructions for the diet and feeding for each of the cats. What amazed me most about her is that she has been so flexible and accommodating. I had to extend my trip and Monica has worked with me through all the changes. She even brought extra cooked chicken for Wendigo when mine ran out. As a new resident and a first time street-parker, I didn't realize you had to move your car so much in Saint Paul. Monica alerted me to signs that had been posted by parking enforcement, and bent over backwards to help me make sure my car was ok. When I returned home, I found that Monica didn't just take excellent care of my babies, she took care of my home. She washed dishes she used. She kept things in order. There wasn't any trash to be found. My kitties were happy and healthy! I feel so blessed and lucky to have found someone so professional and caring for my little cat family. It has been such a relief to have one - rather two! - less things to worry about. I feel so grateful to have had Monica there ensuring all is well at home. Since it was the first time using her service, she met with us one night so she could get to know our dogs, ask questions about where we keep food, etc. One of our dogs in particular is a rescue dog and has a lot of social anxiety when meeting new people. I loved how patient Genevieve was with her and by the end of that first visit, both dogs had really warmed up to her. We did a couple of practice walks before we went out of town and both times I came home to a very thorough note about how the walk went, which was a really nice touch because having used other services before, I've often been left wondering if the dog walker came, what happened, etc. While we were out of town we had a couple of updates from her, letting us know the dogs were doing well.
