For such a decent area, such bad customer service and blatant disregard for our bulldogs. Not worth it and will not visit this location again. Update: the Sunday crew is subpar. Im absolutely livid! I took my sweet dog Luna to Petsmart for her very first grooming with Zaida. Her 10 a.m. appointment turned into 5 hours of torture! They told me she was "perfectly behaved", but when we got home, I found razor burns, cuts, and wounds all over her. She was in pain, traumatized, and had to be rushed to the vet. Manager Josh Mckuciz promised a refund for the grooming and vet bills. I've received NOTHING. No reply to my emails, No refund. No apology. No remorse, No accountability from Him nor the groomer Zaida! My dog suffered for no reason. This is ANIMAL CRUELTY. Zaida should be FIRED immediately! Petsmart, you let this happen and you're doing NOTHING to fix it!! I demand full reimbursement and the grooming footage to see what really happened during those 5 hours! PetsMart on Mayo and scottsdale. I had an issue with worms infested in my 50 lb bag of food that created my dog to have worms in his poop. I now have a vet bill of over $500 as of now and had to pay pest control to come and kill the worms that infested my pantry! Thank goodness my dog is ok so far and I hope continues, but as you can imagine, what a stress and worry to deal with. I have been coming to PetsMart for over 5 years, every month spending over $100 each month, as you can see on my history if looked up by my phone number. MATTEO helped me and calmed me. He was so kind and calming and understanding. I came in with my receipt and explained my situation and my worry for my dog and he was understanding, considerate and exchanged it out for me with no issues. Thank you for not adding to my stress and for being considerate and respectful! I will definitely continue my business here. One terrible issue can be turned around when you have someone who helps with good customer service and doesn't treat every customer like they are just trying to get a free bag of food. I've been really disappointed with how difficult it is to get a simple nail trim/file for my dog here. There's no option to book an appointment, walk-ins only. Which would be fine if they were consistently available. Unfortunately, I've walked in multiple times and been turned away because no one was available, or because staff had already left due to "no appointments." Most recently, I stopped by at 4:40 PM on a weekday during what's advertised as their "happy hour special," only to find they had already closed, more than two hours before the posted closing time. Not only was I unable to get the service, but I also couldn't take advantage of the advertised special because they were closed. This ongoing issue could easily be solved by allowing customers to book appointments for basic services like nail trims and filing. It would save clients time and prevent the frustration of repeatedly showing up only to be turned away. read more

A very rude and incredibly UNprofessional employee, Josh, pushed me out of the store at 9:02pm claiming that the register closes and locks down at exactly 9:05pm.While I was about done anyway... I made my rushed purchase at 9:04pm. But NOT believing him... I asked to wait ONE minute until 9:06pm to test the alleged policy by making another purchase of an item at the counter. He "curtly" and rudely refused saying "I'm busy and cannot do that." I persisted, saying that it's not unreasonable to ask him to wait ONE minute. He kept repeating himself saying "I'm busy." When I calmly and politely protested and expressed that it felt like "BS" (NOT bull shit, but "BS") he then accused me of "swearing." OMG! The girl at the check in for the doggie hotel was struggling to read the shots and records. I was able to help her out only to find out (1) of the shots they require was not on the paperwork. Ended up missing my appointment to bring my dog back home. It would have been nice if they called the vet to begin with to clarify. Absolute worst customer service of any store I have shopped in lately. Went to purchase two large cat trees - no flatbed carts to move them. My husband and I loaded them on top of two regular carts with zero assistance. The zero assistance continued at the register and into the parking lot where we loaded them ourselves. Not a single offer to assist even after my husband went to the front to find someone. I assume Matteo is the manager but he seemed very bothered by the associate who asked for assistance when the UPC wouldn't scan. Never acknowledged the customers spending well over $300 on cat trees. Even though a line had formed behind us he just walked off and didn't help anyone else either. Maybe whatever he was listening to in his earbud was more important than waiting in customers and providing customer service. He should not be a manager IMO. Will never be back to this location and not likely to ever shop at Petsmart again. read more

DO NOT BUY ANIMALS FROM HERE!!!! If I could negative stars I would. Me and my girlfriend got a beautiful guinea pig that we named s'mores and were honored to love for a week and a day. On the 8th day of having her we noticed something was very wrong, our beloved s'mores was obviously very sick and we rushed her to the vet. She had pneumonia, and she had it bad. The only way to save her was to spend 2,500 dollars on less then 25% change of her even making it to the next day. Unfortunately with us being in our early 20s and college students we didn't have that kind of money laying around and had to make the decision to put her down that day which was not only extremely devastating but which cost us 400$. We are so heartbroken we put our trust in Petsmart when they sold us a sick animal, and then we had to pay the bill. Do not trust them as they've had many cases of doing this same thing to other owners, especially this location in particular. read more

He recommended a warm soak for 15 minutes and the past two days she finally had a couple crickets but today she ate 7 mealworms and I'm just really happy. She even started to crawl on my hand today without running away or being scared and just chills. I know it's only been two days but the fact that she's eating again has made me really really happy. I was given a complimentary bath and slight trim for my dog, due to my being unhappy she had to be shaved the month before. When I picked her up I asked when I should have her groomed again. The groomer said I should give it about 4 days after she gets back from training. She said she will probably be upset that she was gone for a month ( half of that, she needs to be boarded because I will be gone) and that you haven't had her very long and she is a rescue. I felt that was very unprofessional of her to make this remark to me. That is really none of her business. I felt like she was judging me. Needless to say, I won't be returning to this place. There are many other groomers to choose from, who have more tact and are kinder. read more

They said due to her breed she can not play with the other dogs and would be isolated even though she has NO history of aggression, the restricted breeds ONLY include pit bull breeds. I've used pet smart previously in a different state for my grooming needs, and this location exceeded my expectations by far. The staff was warm, friendly, and I was continuously greeted and attended to when walking through out the store. The store was also clean, organized, and easy to navigate. Erika groomed my pet at the salon. She was extremely thorough with asking questions about what I wanted for a cut, and was very cautious to any needs that my dog may have had. She was super helpful, professional, and personable. My dog, Romeo, looks adorable and clean. We will be requesting her every time and using this location moving forward. I have always felt safe with my dog being groomed at pet smart, but Erika made me feel even more confident and comfortable with leaving him there for a few hours. This is a review for the Banfield Pet Hospital. Riley (the famous ROTD dog) and I came here for her rabies vaccination and had a very easy and pleasant experience. We made an appointment since they're pretty busy and were shown in only a few moments after the scheduled time. Checking in was very easy considering how all of the staff are extremely friendly and kind and most importantly- patient. Let me tell you, dogs do not like it when you put things up their butt. The nurse who took Riley's temperature was extremely kind with her and the ordeal went very smoothly. Just two or three minutes later, the doctor came in to administer the shot. She spoke sweetly and calmly to Riley to ease her discomfort and really took her time to make sure she was ready and prepared for the shot. Afterwards she was thorough in explaining what to watch for in case there was a negative reaction. Checking out was simple and they made copies of everything I needed. Emily took especially great care of my Australian Cattle Dog who despises the Dremel tool on her nails. My dog gets so scared of the tool that she will try to bite out of panic to make it stop. Emily was patient w/ my dog and succeeded to perfectly smooth her nails! The bath w/ Furminator is amazing too for dogs like mine with an undercoat. Booked an appointment for my dog for Saturday. They called me a few hours before to tell me that the groomer called in "sick" (it was New Year's Eve so I don't buy that). They rescheduled me for the next day. The day of the appointment the called me up again to cancel the appointment stating that the groomer was double booked so she she didn't have time to groom my dog. Asked for a manager didn't get one.
