Then he went to Puppy Camp at Unleash Fido and worked with Brittni. He came home a truly different and wonderful dog. he was in control of his body and his actions. We were recommend Unleash Fido by several people. We scheduled an hour long consultation with Travis who ended up giving us 90 minutes of his time to learn about Lily and discuss their program. Lily had several issues, such as pulling on the leash, lunging at cars, barking at people + other dogs and going absolutely crazy when Amazon/UPS was delivering a package. Ultimately, we booked Lily into their month-long Obedience Training Camp. After receiving weekly report cards that contained photos, videos and a brief update on how the last week was, we were finally ready to pick-up Lily. Our first time picking her up was also our first training with her. We worked on establishing place, having her heel while walking, and working on other things around distractions. Within the first 24 hours back at home, our investment in this training payed dividends. She's obedient on walks, doesn't mind others passing by, comes to us on call, goes to place when told and so much more. When I first got my precious Pomeranian puppy, I thought I could train him myself... I was wrong! He was adorable but incorrigible. I interviewed several trainers and they were all nice, but I immediately felt a connection to Ms. Eva (the owner of Wigglebutts) and knew that she would treat my little baby as if he was her own. We arranged for a "board and train" for a few weeks while I was out of town. Me. Eva made sure I came out for a visit with my doggy on another day before I left him with her so we all knew each other and he wouldn't get scared being left at a strange place with a strange person. I missed him so much and I really appreciated that Ms. Eva took frequent videos and pictures of him and texted me updates and even patiently took all of my calls so I never worried! She did an AMAZING job! She has a little "school house" on her property where she individually takes your pet to work with them which I think is a genius idea. We originally saw Ryan working with training a dog at St. Johns Town Center on the crowded sidewalks. He had that dog tightly following commands and expected behaviors. The dog looked like they had a "mind meld" with Ryan, because of how well it behaved walking through all the people and cars. Perfect behavior. So we are super excited to begin training next month with the Beginner in-home program. Following that we have already committed to going straight into the Intermediate at-home training. We had a minor hiccup with our original interaction, but the staff made it right quickly. So we appreciate not only a great trainer, but the staff who back up his work was great, also. He also came back to me in better shape in terms of muscle! If there was anything Devon had questions about they had no issues contacting me right away to let me know or ask about, I felt very comfortable and safe with my dog remaining under Devons care. And if your facility is not able to allow a dog to decompress in its crate right after being picked up, then you need to reevaluate your space. Second appointment: no call no show. This time they blamed the fact that the trainer hurt his back two days prior. No one could reach the trainer so it was assumed it had to do with an injury that they knew about two days prior yet couldn't be bothered to reach us. They then assumed we would still be available since we scheduled a 2.5 hour block and were rude about why we were upset. We explained that when we booked this block it was with the understanding that we had other appointments.
