We are here out at Scott Air Base with my husband on active duty orders. This is relevant because we are here for only a short set of time and I super pick with my groomers for my little guy. It took me about two months to filter through all the reviews, which I realize that MOST are just negative across the board. In turn, this made it hard to find someplace that wasn't going to "chop up my furbaby." I have so much anxiety about the idea of him getting hurt when at the groomers. I am going to be out there and honest with you all. This was a great experience, and Amy - we booked online - was super open and honest with us when we dropped our little guy off. The staff at the cash register wasn't happy with us that we didn't bring our paperwork with the shots updates, which we happened to leave at the base. The online system did mess up, and she double check to find out that we didn't need the paperwork. After that, the lady at the register to check in was super friendly. When we got to Amy our groomer, she explained everything in full. She followed everything to the T, and our little guy looks so stinking cute. We would come back and ask for Amy again. read more

Took my dog for a deshed bath and haircut. at first it looked ok, then I took my dog home and looked more and the cut is choppy which is an understatement, looks rushed. wasnt told that there were any issues, hopefully it will grow out. but would not recommend. went here due to moving to from out of state and a recommendation. This isn't my local Petsmart, but was in the area and needed some treats. I've always found what I needed at any Petsmart, but I have noticed that they are getting more expensive. This store is clean and well stocked. Check out was fast. No complaints, but I've never used their veterinary or grooming services. There is a large parking area so it makes it easy to visit. read more

I took my small dog to get a bath and haircut. I let them know that he can get fussy especially when messing with his paws. After 3 hours waiting for him to be done, I went to pick him up. When I got there they told me that I need to get medication from my vet because he was trying to bite them. I got him home and all of a sudden, my usually jumping pup, no longer will jump or even climb up the stairs into my home! He laid around for 2 days, which is also not like him. I don't know what they did to him, but I'll never take another pet of mine there! read more

Do not take your pet to PetSmart to get groomed. The customer service was ok but the groomers didn't do a good job grooming her. I asked for the bath+ hair cut with the furminator treatment. All they did was shave her down. But everything that's stated on the package advertising was not done. She didn't get a bath because I can still see spot of dirt that she had from being outside that was there when I took her in and she doesn't smell clean, she smells the same as when I took her. I'm highly disappointed. Also I watched at the end of the session when they were brushing her ears and they were being very rough with her, making her cry. I've been told not to take my dog to get groomed with them but I didn't listen but I was proven wrong. I also waited almost 3 hours to pick her back up, if they didn't bathe her, and all they did was shave all her fur down, why did it take so long. Do NOT take your pet to PetSmart for grooming. It will be $75+ down the drain. read more

Due to COVID they are requiring masks and have curbside pick up. The employees were all wearing masks. I went into this store to specifically buy a cat carrier for my cat and a collar. The only hard carrier they had was one that was obviously returned to the store and put back on the shelf to sell. They didn't even bother to discount it. I did manage to find a collar for my cat. The cashier was wearing a mask and friendly. I found it odd that she didn't sanitizer the card reader in between customers. read more

Quoted me a price of $55 and I nearly choked. My regular groomer has always charged me $40 for my small Maltese. But that wasn't enough! When I arrived, the guy who was checking me in showed that her nails were long and suggested that he "grind them down". Okay. I didn't care. Whatever gets the job done. But then he handed me the paper to sign and it showed $15 for grinding down nails.....plus $55!!!! It had been printed out before I even got there and he showed me the nails!!! What a scam. When I picked her up, I complained. I showed him plainly on the counter was the price sheet which showed that the grooming included, nails, anal glands, etc. So he took it off. WTF. Is this their way of adding on their own $15 tip???? Never going back. And my dog was still scooting when I left. I don't think he expressed her glands. read more

I have had nothing but wonderful customer experiences at the Petsmart in O'Fallon. Anytime I am there buying a new pet, the staff is very knowledgeable and takes the time to work with me and answer all of my questions. Just today, one of the staff members misinformed me regarding a creature habitat, and the mistake was not realized until it was taken home and assembled. Mistakes happen. But they were profusely apologetic, and overcompensated me for the wasted time and frustration. Petsmart, you will continue to get all of my business! Thank you! read more

I love this store.. I had a slight problem with my aquarium and stopped in here for advice. I enjoyed talking with the associate, and she was so helpful, and knowledgeable that I ended up spending quite a bit in new aquarium things and cat food. There are plenty of friendly people at this store that I will return and will recommend. read more

ok, i took my 2 Yorkshire's into this place as i've used them before and they do a good job! They still did a good job but i was charged an extra 29.00 for a chi package on each dog! Now i went to get them done last week but my Military Discount was only usable on Tuesdays! I bring em in and i should have asked for the final cost before leaving i guess as the extra 60 dollars i was charged was not what i had figured on! I aked for their nails to be cut and their fur trimmed. I'm hard of hearing so maybe i didn't hear her say about the added 390 bucks per dog! I LOVE PetSmart grooming services! The staff is friendly and works very hard. Shannon, one of the groomers, has been taking care of my 4 month old Shichon puppy Zoe. She did a great job introducing her to bath time and haircuts. I take Zoe in every 2-3 weeks and she comes out looking beautiful and happy. Thank you Shannon!! Grooming area too overcrowded with dogs so specific grooming instructions are not noted. Every visit we need our dog re-groomed at pickup. Litterly a puppy mill for grooming. Sloppy, assembly line work. I'm DONE! read more

The store itself is great. I love that they promote adoption over purchasing of cats and dogs. However the chain as a whole has been less than responsive in improving conditions for smaller animals, specifically hermit crabs. Small animal care throughout the chain is inconsistent and in some locations downright horrible. read more
