My little Bishon just caught kennel cough from there. She or any dog I have will never go there again. Adrian is not a good business person at all. When I called them they thought they would be slick and put me on a speaker phone and I said oh no your not without my permission, they took it off speaker. They are not great with dogs. Be careful. Please, my furbaby is very sick. They need to take responsibility and pay our vet bills. And Adrian needs to find another job and not around animals.​ read more

Took my two Yorkies in to be groomed. Requested they not be put into kennels, paid 20$ extra for that, called a rush job, took 3 hours! Came in to check on them my 5 pounder was soaking wet in a kennel. Requested DO NOT SHAVE, showed pictures of what I wanted. They took pictures w/camera. They shaved my husbands gorgeous long haired Yorkie down & left his head like a stringy hippie. Place was filthy. Please NEVER take your dogs here to have anything done but a bath! 120$ later& I can't glue the hair back on!!!! read more

Don't waste your time with this place and rude people. I was wearing a face mask like asked but then cashier said I needed to adjust it, although it was on my face. I can't help I'm small and it slides. I will not support this business ever again! Glad I was making a return. Petsmart is way better and everyone it petsmart is welcoming and does not try to judge you on how to wear your mask. read more

The selection of food, toys and supplies is just fine, but the grooming salon could be better. Every time I took my dog there, I would always give the groomer specific instructions about the haircut, which would end up being either forgotten or ignored so she didn't look anything like I wanted. They did a good job with the bath though and she always smelled nice and looked very clean. read more

If I could give 0 I would for the grooming services. My appt was rescheduled 3 times (not by me) prior to us finally being able to come. Then when I get there, they claim it's issues with his paper work. They people here are rude and not understanding especially since they are at fault would not recommend. I was very disappointed with how my dog was groomed. I asked the groomers to just trim her face and to cut her down short. Not only is my dog's face uneven, when I picked her up, I didn't even smell like she got a bath. The full service is $47 which is ridiculous because the groomer did a horrible job and I my dogs face was choppy and uneven. Very VERY disappointed. The service has gone downhill since the last groomer left. This experience solidifies that I will not be going to Petco for grooming again. read more

I have recently become a frequent flyer of Petco in Fairview. My whole life I have been a cat person but I recently got a puppy with my boyfriend. I had no prior knowledge of how to raise a dog and I heard huskies were a somewhat stubborn breed so I was looking for all of the help I could get. I enrolled in Puppy 1 with Kacie and began classes in January. I couldn't be happier with my results 6 weeks later! I have a well-behaved puppy that follows multiple commands. Kacie was SO helpful with all of my questions and really worked with me to help me understand my new dog. I plan on enrolling in Puppy 2 once my little pup is an expert on the Puppy 1 commands. I am sure all of the trainers at Petco are great but Kacie was really there for me when I had a million questions! I have more to say about the employees at this specific store as well. They are all very welcoming and helpful. I have never experienced this feeling of "belonging" when I go to a store. I know they see tons of dogs a day but they know my puppy by name and they are happy to help with all of the questions I throw their way. I feel like I joined a club when I came to Petco. I have been to other pet stores in the area (petsmart) but nothing really beats the experience I have at Petco. I really think it is the employee's at Petco that make my day and keep me coming back. It's awesome. I also got my puppy groomed at the salon and HOLY COW!! They do a good job. I can go on for days but I just wanted other people to know about my personal experience at this Petco. I was very nervous about getting my doodle groomed due to prior bad experience at another grooming salon, but Amanda did amazing! She called my nerves and promised me she would do exactly what I want! She spent about 5 hours grooming him to make sure it was perfect! She stayed an extra hour after they were closed in order to ensure perfection on my pup! She explained great products that she recommends and showed us how to brush him to reduce matts in his fur! Overall, I had an amazing experience with her and I highly recommend you giving her a chance on your pups! read more

Each time the service has been pretty poor that I have been in. According to the website they price match, then at checkout refuse to. Every time that I have been their lately they don't have the puppy books. And to find a store associate is hard. From now on I'll shop else where. read more

Lots of dead mice in a few cages. Looked like a gladiator fight was going on and the ones still moving, were the victors!!! Also, was having pet adoptions that day through Bond county humane society. Put in an application for a puppy. Was approved by our application, but the dog we wanted was given to someone else, who had all the same qualities as us (someone home, 24/7, verified vet check, qualified in dog training (my husband is a K-9 handler...etc). The only difference in our applications was that we have children and the others do not (although they dog was listed as great with kids). We put in our application Saturday at Petco in Fairview, was told we were the first to do so for him, that they needed to verify our information though. Tuesday, I call and I am told by one of the volunteers to just come to the shelter (a 45 minute drive). I get there to be told they were reviewing other applicants and it would be 2-3 hours before we would know. Well, I knew we passed the application by that point, so we hung around town, waiting for the phone call to come get the dog. Instead I get "we found a better home then yours". Upon further questioning, it comes out that we have kids and we are a military family, so less likely to give a dog a forever home. Then we are told by the head of the shelter that there are plenty of other dogs and to get over it. My hearts broken read more

Just very disappointed by the rude treatment I received over the weekend. They offered no help whatsoever to help me remedy my aquarium problem only rude, uncalled for comments making me feel terrible. I immediately went to Petsmart and the experience was so nice I ended up replacing my whole filter system and lots of cat food. It saddens me that, after all the money I've spent at Petco to have been treated so poorly. Go to Petsmart!! Right down the road! read more

Here is another chain pet store that is well stocked. The staff are always friendly and helpful. The biggest reason I'm a fan is they help support the local pet food pantry by having a donation bin near the door. You can't beat a chain store that helps support the local community. read more

I took my dog here yesterday to be groomed. The groomer and I talked about everything I wanted to have done; the specific length, face shape, and nails. Upon picking up my dog 4 hours later she looks nothing like we talked about! She is almost completely shaved!! And her nails are horrible! She is a malti-poo so she has longer hair on her tail and the groomer said she would trim it instead SHE SHAVED IT! I will never be taking my dog back here. read more
