They also offer an on-site grooming salon with bath, haircut, nail trims, ear cleaning. Dog training classes are available at this location as well, pet adoption and there's a vet in the back of the store. I love the option of ordering online with aeither an in store or curbside pickup. It's convenient and quick. Prices here seem to be fair. I've bought fish and a bearded dragon, though I wouldn't recommend the beardies here. While the price looks great, ours got cancer and died after 1.5 years. Vet said it was genetic. These days, I mostly get fish and crickets. They also sell birds and have cats to adopt. read more

Took my CavaPoo in for bath and trim. They were soooo nice to me! They explained how to wash him correctly (make sure I dry him thoroughly to avoid the ringlets). They had to trim him super short because they couldn't get the combs through his matted tangles, but they left the tail tip and face shaggy. He was super cute!. read more

I showed up for the first appointment 20 minutes late and they refused to take my dog. I guess I had it coming, the first full week of school, my son was moving slow and missed the bus, we got down the road but had to turn back for the sports bag, the line was long at drop off, I had forgot the papers for proof of rabies, so had to search for those, had to find the correct station at the store, with all of that, I was 20 minutes late. I learned a lot more about the little guy's needs and how to ensure he lives a long happy life - including which fish he can cohabitate with ( they don't usually like other fish ). My dog loves his treats but they've been out for over a week so I asked, they said its now a different name "wags and wiggles' same stuff they claimed, so I walked back to see but it's a completely different product, I asked again said looks totally different, they were so rude about it said well that's what we have! I asked someone who finally walked over for a price and the answer was, do you have an account here. I was confused why I would need one so I said no. She then gave me a price. I asked for another price and got weird look and got that price. I then asked if the first one was in stock. The girl then became Vanna White and pointed at the one on display. And off she went. I was going to buy it but said screw it and walked out. I then went on line to get one and drove to Mohegan Lake NY to get it. The store is brighter, well staffed and stocked and had my order ready when I went in. The Manager himself brought it out and put it in my car. What a difference between 2 stores. Then the groomer came out, asked how old my dog was (a little over 1 year) and if he had been groomed before and I said no. Brought my little puppy there-he's 8 pounds for a bath, brush out his shedding fur, and cut and grind his nails. The first time his nails didn't get cut or ground and the reason was the girl was leaving at the end of the week and didn't care, this was from the Manager. He gave me 50% off my pups next bath. I brought him in again for the same service. A different lady taking care of my dog and she didn't cut his nails, trim his fur around his bottom and this service was $71.00. Did I get any discount for the services not performed?? NOT A PENNY, and the prior discount was "misplaced". There are plenty of privately owned animal salons. My dog had a grooming appointment for 7am. This would have been my first having my dog groomed. I confirmed the appointment twice, once the day before. Unfortunately due to being behind school buses, I was 15 minutes late. When I walked in she was grooming another dog. She said she could not groom our dog because we were late. I asked how could she be grooming another dog in my timeslot she said 1st come 1st serve. WTF, made an appointment. Where did this other dog come from? Was it hers? Check how their scheduling online. I believe they overbook just in case someone does not show up. Go somewhere else! I used to purchase all my dog products from PetSmart and even adopted a cat from that store. This review is for their grooming services. I brought my dog in today based on a recommendation from a coworker who said is was a good, cheap option. She said she usually pays $25 for her 40lb dog. Since my dog is only about 10lbs I figured I would pay about that as well. When I went in they asked if I wanted to have them use deshedding shampoo and I said yes since my dog sheds pretty badly. They also asked if I wanted to do a nail grind, which I agreed to since I hate when my dogs nails are sharp after cutting. These options are add-one and as a result, my bill came out to over $60. I was neither pleased not displeased with my dog when he was done. He feels soft and smells nice but as soon as I put him in my lap I was covered with hair. I would have hoped that adding a de-shedding option would have at least alleviated the hair for a little bit. Similarly, I paid extra for a nail grind which is supposed to make the nails rounded and less sharp. You can see from the pictures, it wasn't worth the extra cost. Lastly, I must mention that my dog came home with a small knick under his neck. Not sure how this happened and I didn't see it in time to My dog is short haired so I can't speak to the quality of their cuts. All in all, I would say that if you're looking for a cheap bath and brush, this is fine. If you want frills or extra attention to detail, find a local groomer who can probably do a better job. read more

I'll never bring my pet to this place again. They refused to bathe and brush my dog's teeth because she had some fluid build up in her ear flap. The vet at Banfield has treated it previously and it poses little danger or issue for my dog or any other dog. Never shopping here again. I was shopping picking things up for my cat when at checkout I noticed the cashier was in an arm sling. I asked her what happened, making small talk, when she told me she fell at work and dislocated her shoulder. She then told me that her manager, Kim, would not let her go get it reset and rolled her eyes at this cashier. I was gobstruck. I asked her when she got it reset and she said she had to finish her shift that day WITH HER SHOULDER DISLOCATED and call out the next day to even go to the hospital. Then, when she told her manager "hey I wasn't faking it" the manager again dismissed her and told her she needed to be faster with her check out times. HER ARM IS IN A SLING. I bought a baby bearded dragon, the terrarium fully equipped and crickets two weeks ago (about 16 days). I have followed all instructions the workers (who were super helpful, Pete and Nick I believe) told me to. The bearded dragon did not eat. I did know it takes time for him to get used to us, but it's been two weeks and he never ate or wanted to move from his cage. He wouldn't eat greens, mango, nothing. Just last night he had what appeared to be a seizure, mouth wide open and twisted head spinning in circles hissing. I called Petsmart and told them it looks like he's about to die. They said it's probably nothing and it could be him seeing his reflection. I said it wasn't and we hung up because there wasn't much help. 8:45pm on a Monday night there is no Vet open. I watched him die around 10 minutes after that phone call. I understand policy, but whatever was wrong with this lizard, was out of my power. Pet smart did offer me a refund on my CAGE even though it's after two weeks. They wanted to see if they can help me pick out a new dragon, I said no as this experience ruined my first pet experience. read more

I brought in my dog today to get groomed. Mind you he is a senior dog that is 16 years old. After notifying the groomers that he has warts around his whole body and to be careful. We have been going to PetSmart to groom for years and never had a problem. Ever since new employees have been coming in apparently no one knows how to fully groom a dog. My dog is very sweet and doesn't bite jut is old and can't stand for long. I am beyond pissed that after telling them about his conditions they still manage to nick him by his warts. As a dog, turtle, tortoise, and fish owner I have frequented this PetSmart location many times in the past for my various pet needs, spending hundreds on heating lamps/filter systems/food and everything else I need on a monthly or yearly basis. However recently I find that their service, product quality, and store cleanliness has been severely lacking. I used to bring my dog to get his hair cut and groomed here, but the last two times they charged an insane amount because he had to be "muzzled" "restrained" and "handled". Mind you my dog is 20 pounds, and had had no incidents in the past. I now cut his hair myself. Today I went in to purchase a new snail for my fish tank, as one of my older ones had died a few days ago. Upon entering the aquarium section I saw that in numerous tanks, the goldfish one being one of them, there were rotting dead half eaten fish. Any fish owner knows that dead fish contaminate a tank and can cause the other fish to catch diseases. The fish had been dead at least a few days as it had turned a pale white, was rotting away, and had been half consumed by the other fish. However because I was already there I decided to buy a snail anyway. It took 20 minutes for someone to come help me, even though there were probably 5 customers in the whole store. I was not asked if I wanted to pick out my snail, as I had been at PetSmart in Syracuse when I got my last snail, and one was chosen for me. I got home and put my new snail in the tank, just to discover that he was dead. I will be returning the snail and bringing my business elsewhere in the future for all my pet needs. read more

Worst Veterinarian experience I've ever had. I took my kitten there to be spayed and when I picked her up I was devastated. The incision wasnt properly closed and almost immediately looked Infected. I've had cats all my life and never saw such a horrible botched surgery. Part of the incision still looked open. They should have never been ok with sending her home like that. read more

It appeared that some of the staff really did care about these fishes as they had refuse to sell me more fishes due to overcrowding in my tank (after inquiry about my environment). I have been bringing my Shipoo in for grooming for the past 1 1/2 . Today I brought her in and she had the worst grooming ever. I have been combing her every day so she had minimal knots when I picked her up the groomer had conveintly left for the day. My dogs hair was all chopped up. When the manager saw her she immediately offered to not charge me. Which was nice but still doesn't change how awful she looks.
