There is an Asian lady who always works there and she is the worst trimmer I have ever seen. She treats dogs so roughly like they are toys. She does not care at all even if the dogs are scared or trembling. She just sighs or ignores them. Also, when she takes care of check-ins and appointments at the counter, she is extremely slow and takes FOREVER to do everything. Her attitude is really bad too like it is our fault for asking lol Once, we asked her something about the treatments my dog usually gets, (but SHE DID NOT EVEN KNOW that they have that treatment) and she said "We don't do that" or "We don't have that" and explained us why for a few minutes with a lot of sighs. But later, another trimmer came and told us "We can do that." In addition, we asked if we could make an appointment after 4, but she told us they couldn't do that because they start getting ready to close at 4pm, even though the store closes at 7. Seriously? What do you even do for those 3 hours? She has NO KNOWLEDGE, NO SKILL, and NO GOOD ATTITUDE. I hope she had at least one of those. I really do not understand how she got this job. read more

Despite showing multiple photos of the haircut we were looking for, we not only arrived to just about the complete opposite result, but also some condescending remarks as to how we maintain our puppy's coat. Probably best if one of the 6 people standing around start to take some pre appointment notes instead of offering up unwanted advise. First time at this location and it's a very well stocked store to be so small. The staff were helpful for the most part while the lady at the pet adoption section did her best to hide her racism until she couldn't. She thought that I couldn't hear her conversation about the uppity black family asking about adopting a cat when we should be at a location on "our" side of town. I turned and looked at her to show her that I heard her and by then she didn't even try to hide her disdain for someone that didn't look like her by giving me the nastiest look. I will not be back if they don't up their dog food game. I purchase expensive dog food for my pets. The past 5 times I have been here there are bags of dog food with rips in the bags. I told the manager and he offered a discount which was appreciated and asked for him to tape up the hole on the other bag. Just returned and the same bag with a hole is STILL on the shelf. He did not tape it up and the price always rings up at $72.99 but is $67.99 on the shelf which they honor each time. But the price on the shelf has not been changed since March 2018. It is so annoying to tell the cashier that the price is lower on the shelf. They have to walk and verify each time. Please update pricing and tape up the holes in the dog food!!! Terrible service. I brought my pet in for a scheduled 11:00 am bath. It wasn't a grooming session. It was just a bath and nail trim. I was told it would take about two hours. I started calling at 1 pm. I was told she was still being dried. I called on the hour and got the same response. at close to 4 pm I went to the store and they said she was still not dry. I asked for my pet to be returned to me after I was told it would be another hour until she was ready. I talked to the manager and all he said was that he would talk to them I am not even sure if they did her nails as paid for. PetSmart did not even attend to her needs over the 5 hour period. As soon as I took her out of the store she made right for the grass to relieve herself. It seems like they did not take her out once in the five hours she was there. I go here for my dog. She knows it's "her store" and is one of her favorite places. My dog loves going up and down the dog food aisles hunting for errant kibble. As with most retail establishments these days, you can find better prices online. If you can find an online store that won't charge you for shipping, you'll probably save money and time. I found amazon carries our dog's food, and with free shipping and the subscribe and save discount, it's $15 cheaper for a 30 pound bag. Petsmart will honor competitor coupons, but even with those they can't beat amazon for price and convenience. This location has a grooming service and vet in the back, neither of which I've used so I can't review. We did utilize a training course for our dog several years ago, which was reasonably good and decently priced (at the time 9+ years ago) Once you locate a staff member, they are polite and helpful. But the prices on what I need are too high for me to rate them well. read more

Communication is subpar here. They cut my dog's hair halfway, then refused to go further because they were confused about a surgical scar. My little guy is getting old and had surgery on his rear end 6 months ago. He's perfectly healed/cleared to have grooming done. Since he's been there multiple times, I never thought there'd be an issue. Suddenly, someone today is "uncomfortable," with the simple trim, and actually gets the vet from Banfield to OK the refusal. That Vet never even looked at my dog's medical records or called me (He's on a Banfield plan so it's readily available). They just called me to come get him, half-done, and refusing to finish! My poor fella looked like a cross between a poodle and a Clydesdale mini. Both entities can skirt responsibly since they're "separate." So yeah, after over 5 years as a patient customer, I'm done. read more

If you care about your dog, don't take him here for grooming. The environment is very chaotic. They over schedule appointments and then end up keeping dogs in crates for long periods of time. They did this to my dog and then called me to tell me he was "stressed" and that they couldn't groom him. My dog is the sweetest Labradoodle. The staff here are very unprofessional and uncaring. Since adopting our dog, I've had the Petsmart in Morrisville, NC groom our him twice. Each time they've done an excellent job and show they truly love the animals. This last time we chose to have the Furminator done. This is an amazing grooming technique where they remove the undercoat on the dog which helps tremendously with shedding. When I came in to pick up my dog, I noticed a huge amount of fur on a grooming table and on the floor. I mentioned how it looked like a dog had just had a major trimming of fur. The groomer looked at me and smiled then said, "Oh, that's from your dog." I was amazed. He looked wonderful! Love this place! read more

Excellent grooming! My dog is very comfortable at Petsmart grooming - she is happy to get there and excitedly greets the groomer. They have a clean, quiet, friendly environment for grooming and the dogs are well cared for. I always feel like I can trust them with my dog because she's so happy when she gets there - knowing my dog, she would not react that way if she wasn't being treated well. It's great to see how friendly they are with the animals and how they seem to enjoy what they do. read more

I use this location for numerous services including the Banfield Vet Office and the Groomers. The Banfield at this location is average at best, money grubbing and uninformed at worst. They are constantly trying to push their Wellness Plan on you and unclear about procedure pricing before performing said procedures. Then they smack a whopping bill on ya! Additionally, they continually use the improper pronouns for my pets. I have one male and one female cat and they are constantly getting it confused. It makes me feel like a random customer at the grocery store and very unlike a patient at a doctor's office. Get my cat's sexes right! The vets and assistants however are very friendly and remember me as a patron. As for the grooming salon, well, there's nothing positive to say about them. They were extremely unclear about pricing despite the fact their pricing system is only divided between long and short haired cats. When I arrived, the person who was to be grooming my cat was no where to be seen and had to call me a half hour after drop off to ask what I wanted done. 3 and 1/2 hours later, I call to see what the hold up is and I'm told my cat has been ready and needs to be picked up. Then, I thought I was getting a bath, dry, and brush, but $70 later my cat had her back nails cut and smelled like she'd been dunked in perfume. She still had a sticky spot on her neck from her food and dirty legs which was what I had brought her to the groomers for in the first place. On top of that, they kept calling her a boy and being really oblivious to my dissatisfaction! Never again will I trust this salon with my pet as they clearly haven't been trained to an acceptable standard. All in all, this PetSmart is convenient, but definitely not up to par. read more

Grooming: I took my 7 month old puppy in for a trim. This was his 4-5 time going to the groomers since we got him. When I dropped him off we discussed what type of cut and look I wanted. I emphasized that we wanted to keep him shaggy and curly. When I was dropping him off the groomers were joking about a botched haircut that had given a dog before him. That should have been a sign! When I came back to pick him up. The groomer asked if he had ever been groomed before and complained that they could not get him to keep still. They hand clipped him all over. The cut was extremely uneven. Some places the hair was cut down to his skin. In other spots he had patches of 2 inch long hair. They did not clean his ears or his bottom at all. This was not even close to what we had asked for. Our poor pup is left with a botched haircut that will take at least two months to grow out. read more

I have had my dog groomed at this petsmart twice. I brought her in today for her third grooming and we had Perry as a groomer. DO NOT USE PERRY!!!! He is new and he did not try to warm up to the dog. He went right at her back side to check her out and my dog moved quickly and growled. Perry got nervous and got the manager. While he was out, another groomer came over and petted my dog. Warmed up to her and then checked her back side. NO PROBLEMS!!! Perry should not be working with dogs. We had not issues with Alex or Mike. The manager was no help either. The young man who groomed my Havanese did exactly the opposite of what I asked. My dog was very traumatized - wouldn't eat his dinner and hid under the bed when we got home. I called and complained and took him back for a touch-up (done by the grooming manager) and although he looked better, when I got home I found an injury on his abdomen. Looks like she ran the clippers right into his "manhood" and left a nasty cut there where it meets the skin on his tummy. Grooming with Jacob is alway great with my three dogs. He has the gift of a dog whisperer.... Jacob really takes the time needed to make sure my dogs are comfortable and not scared. He has been grooming them for a few years now. I Have an older dog that is stressed at the salon and Jacob told me of a service that they offer for $10.00 extra they will stay with my dog and it will only be about an hour.
