They cut my dogs hair! Chopped and shaved to skin. After being told no cutting, trimming or anything just a bath. They did not even tell me they destroyed his coat! NEVER will I go back. I will never trust Samantha nor Amber nor PetSmart with my dogs bathing services again nor should you! I have to give it one star just to post this public notice but they don't deserve the one star!

Took my dog to this petsmart for this first time and last... Just getting a checkup and a nail trim to have him come out crying and jumping to get back to me because he was afraid. There was blood all over the floor and I told them to take him back to clean it up because I couldn't bring him home with him bleeding everywhere. So unprofessional to let him leave like that and cause him that kinda pain. Never taking him back here again. Just be warned...

The convenient Wheaton location of the facility is great for daycare and they also allow for half-day daycare too. Very flexible scheduling. When I pick my dog up, I can tell that she's received personalized attention from the staff and that she has been well cared for. Often she's been able to work one-on-one with a staff member for nearly all of her half-day session. We also attend the group classes which are incredibly unique and let my dog build up practice interacting with other dogs in a way that reinforce new, good behaviors. My neighbors are thrilled with the progress almost as much as I am - my dog no longer automatically barks at everyone outside now and is able to make new friends. The in home training we did originally was incredibly valuable to get us started on the right foot. We need to do that again very soon! Is it the least expensive daycare and/or training in the area? No. But it is ABSOLUTELY worth it. When I leave my dog in the care of The Canine's Voice I know that she's going to be safe, loved, and will learn a few things while she's there. The classes are incredibly valuable too. The results speak for themselves.

After speaking with several training programs, visiting some, and prayerfully considering what the right choice should be Madi Potts helped make our choice easy. Before we would trust anyone with our little 7.5 lb boy, we had to get a sense of one's heart. My husband and I were not looking for someone who could simply "control dogs" or "make them obey commands". We wanted someone who had a heart for dogs to have better lives with structure, less fear, and longevity due to possibilities that came with what training offered. My first inquiry call with Madi was pretty long, if I recall right. She was patient, understanding of my many questions, and willing to talk as long as I needed to feel she was safe to go to next step with. We started with a 90 min at home training session to see first hand and understand how she would personally be as a trainer with Beans. That training was stressful and also a relief as we believed we found the right person to entrust our boy to. When the day came for him to be picked up, both my husband and I were crying. It wasn't just about trusting a new person to take care of Beans, it was also the resurfaced grief of losing our whippet girl of 11 years just a few months prior. The "what ifs" where overwhelming, but we agreed we were moving forward. Madi also saw our "anguish" if you want to call it that. She quickly said she typically doesn't give an update for the first 24-48 hours but she would update us that evening. To her word, we got a picture of beans at the park and our hearts settled a bit. Throughout the two weeks, Madi was wonderful about keeping us up to date and answering questions as needed or as we annoyed her (lol we might have been a little over the top haha) She never hesitated to share and ensure our boy was learning, and struggling in some areas, but overall doing great. Now that he is back with us, we have already had one of our follow up appointments and are so thankful Madi was who helped us with Beans. He was so happy to see her and made her say goodbye before leaving (even though he was supposed to "stay", lol). Training is still a ongoing work daily, Beans still doesn't love his crate but is accepting he is safe and it's ok to not see us 24/7 (Italian greyhounds are Velcro dogs to the max!) This was an emotional, time, and financial investment that we continue to place priority on. I know many will say do not board and train an Iggy, but for our family, giving him and us the tools to have a successful life together was important. We did our due diligence and don't regret our decision. Actually we are extremely grateful we found Madi and Suburban K9. When she left after our last follow up session she looked at Beans, gave him a scratch and said "I love you". I have no doubt she does, for that I am thankful. It is my hope everyone will find someone as knowledgeable and kind hearted toward an animals as Madi is. Thank you Suburban K9 for helping us learn puppy manners with Madi. We are forever grateful. Usually I train the puppies before I bring them out to her. This time I didn't. I wanted her to have him asap to help w the grief. My grandpa also had a dog, that never left his side and was with him the night he passed. After his passing we brought her to the funeral so she understood he wasn't coming home. After several tries of nudging him in the casket, kissing him and booping her nose to his nose to try to wake him up she realized he wasn't this time. After the funeral her behavior changed and she started marking everywhere in the house. Not knowing she was marking and bringing a puppy into the mix, made the situation alot more chaotic. My grandmas also in a wheelchair and depends on others for help. Which made things harder for her to train her puppy. After numerous phone calls, either being told it was nearly impossible to do what I needed help with or it's was gonna cost as much as giving them my first born, I nearly gave up. UNTIL.... Richard came to my rescue! When I talk to Richard for the first time, I got a sense of peace and a chance for hope. Instead of him telling me that this situation was an obstacle beyond imagination, or not possible, he took the challenge. He warned me it might take time, given the circumstances that I was pretty much putting him in and limiting what he could and couldn't do. But, he was willing to try and not charge me my first born. After the first session, we saw results that didn't seem reachable in the beginning. We've been able to break my grandpas dog from marking all over the house and the puppy's on his way to being pee pad trained. We still have more work to do but the progress so far gives the positive reassurance to keep going and not quitting. I highly recommend Richard to anyone and everyone! He's truly one of a kind

I had problems with her barking and growling at men, barking at loud noises, pulling on leash - you name it, I had a problem. Investing in Tony at Sit Means Sit was the best money I have ever spent in my entire life. Not only did my dog come back a completely different dog, but I also have an ongoing support system. It's been a year and a half since I got my first dog back and a few months since I got my youngest dog back and Tony is just as responsive now as he was in the beginning. He isn't just there to help, you can tell he cares about helping. He is so passionate about all these dogs....it's amazing. I don't know what I'd do without Tony. My life is so different now that I have two well-behaved dogs that listen! I have never seen anybody understand dogs the way he does. You will not regret your investment into this team. Trust me.

The story Violet and Sit Means Sit:…read more Most people know that Pitbulls are some of the most gentle, loving, fun, and all around biggest babies you could imagine. What people don't know, however, is that there's a little something known among the bully breeds as "The Pittie Screams." For those who have never heard this obnoxious sound (i.e. the majority of the population), it's kind of like a mix between a metalcore vocalist and a toddler throwing a hissy fit. It's loud. It's embarrassing. It makes people on the street cower in terror and hide their children. It makes your neighbors look out of their windows because they think someone is getting murdered. Which brings me to my adorable baby girl, Violet. I rescued her in September of 2017, so I really have no idea what she went through prior to being in the shelter. She's a phenomenal dog that loves literally everyone and is very obedient, but I learned fairly quickly that she is NOT a fan of other dogs (or bunnies). The pulling, lunging, barking, screaming, and other aggressive behaviors she exhibits when we encounter animals, made it so difficult to bring her outside that I had to walk her behind the townhouses we live in (shared backyards without separating fences). Thanks to Tony and Mikey, I'm no longer afraid to take Violet for walks ON THE SIDEWALK, like NORMAL pets get to do! Violet spent 11 days doing a Board and Train with them last fall and has progressed phenomenally. They really have done an amazing job with her! They're responsive to any questions and concerns, and the initial training cost includes individual follow-up and group training sessions for the rest of Violet's life. *That being said, it's super important for people to realize that dog training is just as much about training yourself as it is about training the pet. IT'S NOT MAGIC!!! You don't send your dog to a board and train or puppy class and expect them to come home being perfect, obedient angels. Just like human children, your dog is eventually going to be a brat, and you, as the adult, need to learn to lead them and mold their behaviors in a positive way. Sit means Sit has provided both me and Violet with the tools and support we need to continue to overcome her issues with other animals, and we are SO very thankful! Just last week Violet actually let another dog LICK HER FACE. It was amazing and I couldn't be more proud :) Unfortunately, Violet and I will be moving across the country in a few months, but Mikey and Tony will continue to support us and have even offered to help us ease into another Sit Means Sit location. Seriously worth every penny and I recommend them to everyone!
