My daughter's dog pulled out of his collar & ran out the front doors of PetSmart after his grooming. He kept running & running out and down the neighborhood streets. Long gone. His groomer, Carolyn saw what happened & took off full speed running after him. He's a little Havenese, fast & scared. He was gone. Folks at PetSmart got in their cars searching. People came out of nowhere saying he went that way. He crossed Independence Ave., Chipman, and back towards 291. Five cars on 291 stopped-circled him with their cars & a big bearded pickup truck driver, Jessie (who has five dogs) talked him down to stop. He didn't have his collar on but he did have a PetSmart bandanna on from grooming. Brought back to PS covered in black sewer muck from his escapade (and all over Jessie). Carolyn gave him another bath & hand delivered to the car. Thank you PetSmart, Jessie, Jon (motorcycle guy who helped) & the fabulous folks of Lee's Summit for helping us bring this little guy home. read more

I'm only giving 4 not 5 because last time I was in there I think she's a manager was rude. She's a female with like a guy hair cut really short. I asked her about some canned cat food. She gave me like why are you bothering me vibes. This lady I hope isn't a manager I'll shop at chewy. But today I met this young Lady with glasses by where that adoptable cats are. Love talking to Batman the black cat he is goofy Loving cat. If I didn't already have 2 I would've got him. he is a real beauty. She was very welcoming I wish I would've gotten her name she was working a pallet by those cats. Very kind. but that mean lady was there too. Maybe someone should tell her If people wouldn't shop she wouldn't have a job. read more

Absolute worst grooming experience we've ever had. First, during the drop off, the groomer was extremely rude to us, judgemental, and yanking around our one timid dog. Paid $225 to have our Goldendoodle and Bernedoodle groomed, which I get it, they're bigger dogs. They came back with the most atrocious haircuts, shaved down to the skin. I'd understand more if they were matted, but they weren't. What hair they did leave on the head is completely uneven. Our Goldendoodle came back with 2 inch sores behind his ears. Mollie's New Hangout Having recently "rescued" a five year old shephard mix we realized how much "dog stuff" we needed, and that even as she was house trained, she did need obedience training. Initially we tried another pet store, but found that their prices were a bit high for our liking and our dog was not responding well to their training. Our next option was PetSmart. There we found a little better selection of support stuff and prices not much higher than those found online. A couple of days later our dog killed a rabbit in the back yard and carried the smell away with her. Having seen a sign that PetSmart had walk-in grooming, she got her first professional bath since we had rescued her. The price was very reasonable, the groomer immediately "bonded" with her, and out dog looked wonderful! Based on those experiences we enrolled her in their training classes. In the past she was always a little afraid of men (myself included) but she took their trainer as soon as they met. The training has been so effective that we are enrolling her in their next level. Finding PetSmart has been a godsend for us. read more

Went today to pick out a fish for my child who Was very excited. The staff was incompetently rude and walked past us several times while we waiting for help. go buy fish else where your not all that and a bag of chips. read more

DO NOT come here. the employees are not educated about the animals and told us wrong information about their animals. they never have food for their animals. i've been up here 3 times in the past 3 trying to get food for my bearded dragon and they said they would have crickets today. nope they said don't. i think they are just lazy. because they get them in tuesdays and thursdays and they said they don't have any crickets? yeah pure laziness. read more

I've been taking my Shin tzu here for over a year. I get her nails clipped in between full grooming visits. On 6/26 I got her nails clipped, on July 2nd, a full grooming, & 2 weeks later, she gets her nails caught in her ears everyday, making her cry. $48.00 for a full grooming,$10.00 for nails clipped...in 2 weeks time & almost $60.00 dollars, for my baby to cry & get her nails caught in her ears...NOT cool, I am currently searching for a new groomer!! PetSmart in Lee's Summit, Missouri...HORRIBLE...Seems like they're only concerned with a paycheck! If you love your animal, this isn't the place to spend your hard earned money!!! read more

The staff are always so helpful and friendly. The store is always clean. The Lee's Summit location is easy to get to.

Petsmart itself would be a 10. However, the Nulo food rep was extremely annoying. There should be warning signs on the door "Brand Rep on Premises". She asked if she could help me as if she was a regular Petsmart employee and I didn't notice that her apron said "Nulo" . I'll not make that mistake again. She didn't know the answer to my question and just kept steering me to Nulo food, making up B.S., attempting to relate it to my question. She was literally up my butt the entire time. I couldn't step backward. I kept going in different aisles and she'd come round talking more. Talk, talk, talk, talk, nonstop. Me repeatedly saying, "Okay. Thank you." did not deter her. I did buy 4 cans of Nulo just to get away from her and shut her up, which I resent doing. read more

We took our 10yr old Schnauzer in for grooming and she got the best cut she's ever had. The groomer said that she wasn't confident with Schnauzer cuts but she did a wonderful job. Head, tail, belly, skirt, all look perfect. Other groomers tended to just shave her down to nothing and left her frightened. (We're still not sure what that was all about.) The dog knows it, too. She's still strutting around like she's the belle of the ball. We'll definitely be taking her back. read more

Manager was very rude. Called in to inquire why my online order was canceled after i went through the trouble of calling .com because the website was giving me issues. Manager literally said, "Your card was probably declined." Like, what?! After I explained that that wasn't possible, she put me on hold and told me that they couldn't find my item and it looked like it wasn't in stock. I started to ask if there was a way she could see inventory and other stores so I could go purchase from there and she said, "Not sure. You can call them yourself." Then, hung up! So rude!!! It's not like she's busy. It's a random Thursday during a pandemic. Will not attempt to spend my money here again. read more

I had an appointment to take pictures with Santa at 2:50. I got off work at 2, rushed home to grab my dog and drove 30 minutes to this store location for the appointment. I arrived at 2:55. Walked in and stated that I had an appointment with Santa and she directed me to the back of the store. I went back there and no one was there. I went back up to the register and let them know and she told me to wait. Then once she was done ringing up another customer, she asked another worker and they said it ended at 3. I stated that I got there at 2:55 and all they said was "call another store". I then came back up a few minutes later and asked if a worker could at least take a picture of me and my dog. She responded in a very negative tone, "we're all busy and have stuff to do". She was working the register and had a nose piercing. I walked around and finally asked another customer who was so happy to take it. I've never had such a negative experience with such rude employees. I don't understand why she at least could have been respectful instead of being so disrespectful. I drove an hour total for a waste of time and rude employees. I'll never go here again. read more

I recently visited this Petsmart and was very impressed by their selection of parrot supplies. Recently moving from California the state, I removed it to California, Missouri. Where this type of animal is not that popular of a pet. As someone who is very anti-bird breeding, and birds as pets... Which I realize take some explaining being I have a bird as a pet. Nutshell, birds should be free. However once they've been tamed, people have to step forward and take care of the responsibility when others abandon or rehome their birds. I got my bird she had been rehomed three times in three years. Birds are not a whim purchase please do your research, and please if you are going to get a bird look at rescues, look at sanctuaries, rehome a bird. Please do not support bird breeding. That's sad well I would never buy a bird This Petsmart had to dream nicest bird area. Number one they had appropriate birds to the size of their enclosure. Many times you going to a store and there's 50 birds in a tiny cage. This was not the case there were several large areas that had a couple birds on them. Also this store kept their third area extremely clean. Anyone who has a bird knows as soon as you turn your back after changing that birds water they are going to poop and or bathe in that water. The burning closures were spotless in the store. They also did not just throw some seeds in the enclosure for food, there was clean fresh food for those birds. So I was very impressed by the care they are taking of these birds. Also it is difficult in Missouri to find a store that carries parrot perches, toys, or food. This store actually had a perch for my bird which is what I went in for. Never I don't have a large selection for my car, cockatoo, big parents. However they did have a perch, a few items of food, and a couple toys to choose from. They did however have a nice selection for smaller birds budgies, finches, cockatiels. read more
