He was my 10th adoption and we had never needed outside training before. I was in tears when I came to Keaton and Mike, worried I would not ever know how to control my new adoption. Roscoe had daily fights with my other dogs, tried to attack my husband, we couldn't enter a room without his reactions. Keaton worked with us 1:1 for 12 weeks. I then did a board and train with Precision. Roscoe graduated early for good behavior. Keaton and Mike tailored the program to our needs and our goals with our dog. Roscoe is now a great companion at home. We have systems in place to create a successful environment for him. I joined the weekly training class, and we continued our learning. It was as much for me as it was for him. Roscoe even behaved well enough he was able to take the agility class, too. When we travel, Roscoe is always boarded with Precision because they know his breed, his temperament and I know both trainers and dogs are safe there. I am able to travel and not worry. Roscoe has always been comfortable when I drop him off and trots off with a trainer without issues.

The incident with my dog happened; it was shrouded with ambiguity & surface level detail, and my questions via email largely unanswered. Precision was eager to move on with as little information exchange as possible--up until I posted my original review on Google--where they presumably flagged it or otherwise pulled levers to have it removed.

For the past 5 years, my two dogs stay here anytime we are out of town (which is around every other month for at least 7 days)-- so we've taken our dogs here at least 30 times. Our dogs are our babies. When we leave town, I never worry about them. The people that work there really and truly love each dog and know each dog's personality. We had a 1 month trip planned just 2 months after one of my dog's bilateral TPLO surgery & the staff made sure that he was babied. When our dogs stay there, they have non-stop fun-- so each time when they come back home, they sleep for 3 days straight. It's a clean facility but does smell like dogs (fancy that!) which might bother someone (if they've never taken their dog to a boarding facility before or don't realize that even the cleanest of dogs tend to have an odor). The cost is reasonable and they collaborate with a few local rescues so your money isn't only going to keep their lights on, it's also going to help save the lives of other dogs (Yay for karma points!). Is it a fancy place? No. And I don't know about your dogs, but neither of my dogs care about fancy. Cotton or cashmere? They don't care. Filet mignon or McDonald's? They would gladly eat both. Where I'm going with this is that this isn't The Ritz Carlton and that's OK-- because dogs don't care. It's safe, clean (but understandably stinky) and the dogs have fun and are loved on. What more could people want?

As a previous reviewer noted, you can tell the quality of care by how your dog leaves the facility. All perked ears and tail wags and then the inevitable crash on the way home. Our Foster pups always come home more relaxed and easier to handle after a day's play. Our personal dogs are thankful for that too, being older they just can't keep up with those younger pups. The staff is wonderful and always greet our dogs by name during drop off and give us an "report" on how they did during the day. We've also boarded with DFP for long weekends out of town (our pups don't travel well) atnd always been impressed with the condition they were returned in. Bathed, brushed, relaxed, and happy to head home, what else could you ask for?

Our weekend was unique in that we had no idea how the schedule would play out (selling our house) and this was a nice perk. During Covid times, they came out to the car to leash him up and take him in. I checked in a few times on their webcam, and I don't know if they can get out from their contract with whoever provides it, but I'd recommend it. It's spotty at best, and difficult to navigate. We gave up because it didn't work. I did notice my little guy sleeping on the floor in the late evening, and we had requested a private room for him which he never received. I wasn't too upset about it, but did mention it to the staff. The manager called quickly and was honest about things (biz picking up as Covid eases, they didn't have one available, and their staff is very new) which I understand. All in all, I liked this spot. I was a tiny bit frustrated that he wasn't able to get what we requested, but at the end of the day it was OK. Oh and I also added a bath for him for just $10 (maybe $15, can't recall) which was so worth it.

Zona is just a happier girl and I'm no longer nervous taking a 70+lb guardian breed (at 8 months) out in public, greeting people, or on walks. And the girls who greet her every day are just as great! Ruby was reactive on leash and at at our fence with the neighbor dogs, and had problems focusing on us (and what we wanted) while she was outside. She's the first non-food-motivated dog we've ever had, and so we had no idea how to get her attention when she was so focused on everything else. We had only ever trained with treats and that just wasn't working this time. But Steph did know how to train her. After training, our dog is calm and confident. She can loose leash walk in the neighborhood at heel. She's patient and well mannered. A model citizen. She will focus on us when we're outside and come when called, which used to be a struggle if there was a nice breeze, or an interesting leaf, or a bee, or the moon to gaze at. I highly recommend training through KC Dawgz and the associated Digs boarding facility/play group in Gladstone. We dropped Ruby off every morning and picked her up after work, and got to take home a well behaved dog in the evening. She learned while we were working, when we didn't have the time or expertise to do it ourselves. I'd give more than 5 stars if I could. If you just have a wacky four legged roommate or a furkid who has a tougher problem, Steph can sort them out for you. The initial consultation was free and easy to schedule and the package we went with included in-home training lessons to make sure everything worked out right at home, too. The class was incredibly helpful in getting my dog to pass the test. I appreciated Karen's attention to detail (text reminders about what to bring to class, providing full water dishes for each dog, etc.)
