I buy the premium dog food at the Ward Pkwy location and never spend less than $300 there on various toys and food. For the second time we called first and went in for a nail trim for my senior disabled dog. The first time the guy who answered the phone said that someone was there to trim my dogs nails and when my husband took off work to help load her a drive over there no one was there for the service. This time I called and he said someone was there and to come before 3:30. My husband took off of work and we carefully loaded our dog and when we got there they said we needed rabies vaccine proof. No mention of it when I called and we have never had to bring it before. The store manager was horrible and didn't apologize He said "never come back here again". I said " I won't, there are so many other places to shop". They are losing a lot of money from my purchases. This is on top of having bought a huge bag of premium food that was full of beetles and maggots. I have given them the benefit of the doubt to shop local, but that was the last straw! read more

Absolutely love this place! Absolutely love this place! They have a self service pet wash that is fantastic! All the staff are very helpful and polite and the rewards points are such a nice bonus! read more

Always a great experience! Store clean and plenty of help who are very friendly. Makes you glad you're spending your money here.

I have switched my dog to pro plan, sensitive skin and stomach lamb & rice food. This is where I got it in the first place and I went in to get another bag and they were totally out of it so I had to try a bag of the lamb and oatmeal for sensitive skin and stomach with a little disappointed they didn't have my regular food. I do enjoy going into the store for my pet supplies. I feel like their prices are good and they do have people who come and help you if you need it and I feel like they're not a puppy mill store. read more

Said I wanted the "red and black tetras." Sales lady incorrectly pointed to price tag of a different fish. I pointed to the correct price tag. Then this lady walks away leaving a girl in training to help. She bags up the wrong fish and proudly ties the bags in knots :( instead of using a rubberband to seal the bags. Taking fish in/out of water repeatedly is BAD. Thus, i accepted to fish. Cashier was new and used a walkie talkie multiple times asking for help. I pointed out to him the "code" he needed to ring me up was written on the bag already. Finally a Manager told the cashier the code was on the bag. I bagged my own purchase. Then had to ask for a receipt in case anything happenes to the 4 fish I ended up with. Two I ordered and two the store wanted me to have. I see no need to go back. read more

We tried having nails trimmed for the first time there. They got it done but not because it was easy but because they care. This was a pup that had been described at another groomers as a "nightmare". The customer service was great and they were kind and empathetic. read more

I use to shop at the location in Rock Hill, MO (StL) so when I moved across state I was DEElited to find they had stores here. The closest one to me is in Lees Summit, which is about a 20 minute drive. I pass two other pet stores to get here. It's the only store in the area that sells my dogs food. On my recent trip I was looking to switch my dogs food to a more raw diet. A girl there helped me and explained all the different kinds of raw diet from frozen to freeze dried and what mid priced brands she liked for her dog. She helped me price some supplements and told me about price matching! Yes!! They will price match even Amazon! They do a lot for strays, they have in house grooming, but the feel of a mom and pop store. They have a rewards program that really offers rewards. Go see them! read more

Great customer service and great options. Convenient with knowledgeable employees. Easy to shower and groom your pet alone.

Worked here for a year and had problems with management. Tried calling back a couple years later to get a hold of my W-2 and was instantly blocked and Regional manager fails to contact. BBB report being filed read more

Very helpful and friendly I asked what type of food would be best for my little morkie and Megan took the time to explain it all to me.

Nice store. Lots of selection. Slightly over priced on most items. Staff is friendly. Bathing station is awesome. Price on baths are super fair when you buy the bath card read more

Great place to take your dogs to bathe them! Nice helpful staff. Great supplies and prices

Conner in the aquatics department was knowledgeable and very helpful. He did an excellent job netting the specific fish I requested. I will definitely be back! read more

I'm not one of those people who go out of my way to leave a review about a business but this one i felt was very needed. *AQUARIUM HOBBYISTS BEWARE.* I am new to the aquarium hobby, but i am more educated than someone who is brand new. After waking up this morning to ALL 5 of my fish dead (for the 3rd time) i am ready to quit this hobby all together. I went to this business a while back bought 2 parrot cichlids, they died overnight. After having dealt with that, i COMPLETELY started over and bought a brand new 75 gallon tank. I am a sticker for cycling tanks and my tank cycled for a whole month PRIOR to attempting this again. Yesterday, i go into this business and staff is always pretty friendly, i will give them that. I bought 4 total fish, 2 mixed african cichlids, and 2 peacock cichlids. After waiting (i'm not joking) a literal HOUR for the employee to catch the fish in their severely overstocked tanks and get them bagged for me, i was just ready to get out of there. THE MINUTE i put those babies in my tank their diseases and illnesses showed almost instantly. They died OVERNIGHT. $60 gone down the drain. If your fish die, don't dispose of them. (as sad as it is) keep them in a baggie and get your money back and take your hobby and money to another business. I feel extremely sad for whoever goes back and buys fish from pet supply and receives the same care we did. They have NO experience with fish, so there is not proper understanding of the delicacy that goes into this when handling them. i want to rescue all of those poor guys in there. i know this review is all over the place, but i feel like its needed to be said especially if you've already invested thousands of dollars into this hobby. If you do buy from them, i recommend you ask who they get their fish from, make them test the water, and for the love of god, don't let them handle those poor fish as if they're nothing. just buy your fish elsewhere. their prices are ridiculous as it is, for very poor quality. please take my word for it, it gets very disappointing. rating them a 2 star, ONLY because when you catch a staff member with care, and experience it can make it a lot less stressful. Hope this helps you. read more

The store looks like it might be interesting; I haven't visited the store yet, I thought I would look it up online first. Not happy at all with the web site. Not very good; to me it seems that Yelp is more interested in promoting themselves than their client, Pet Supplies Plus... The first thing you need to do is hire a web manager and get a site that is built for you. Thanks, John Johnson of Lee's Summit read more

This is our favorite pet supplies place. The dog washing station is awesome and they have a plethora of different shampoos and conditioners, for everything from just a general use to skunk odor removal and dandruff, plus a blueberry face wash for dogs that smells delicious. We also love that they price match to other pet supplies places and websites such as chewy.com. Keep it up PS+, you've definitely won over this family. read more

Staff are very helpful. Good environment. Live pet policy sucks. Bought a bearded dragon for my son's birthday and it ended being sick and would not eat. Tried everything to figure out why nothing worked. All it did was sleep and wasnt even a year old. Called them up and because it has been under a mnth they refused to help me because of thier 10 day live pet policy. Thanks now I ja e a crying son who's very sad because he felt the pet shop didn't care. Pros: good staff Cons live pet policy need to be revamped because it sucks. read more

I visited the Lee's Summit, MO store Saturday, Feb 20th looking for Nutro food for our dogs. We were informed that Jen, the manager, decided to not carry that item any more, but he (store onsite supervisor) would take our name to be contacted if we wanted it "special ordered". We also had one of our dogs there to get yearly shots. We were informed the vet is scheduled for tomorrow (Sunday), but call @ 12 noon Sunday to make sure because they cancel regularly. Sunday, I called around 12:10 p.m. Whoever answered the phone was super rude, said vet hasn't called to say they will be here, and wanted to hang up. I said, can anyone tell me if they are coming?? She said, you have to hold for a manager, and I said o.k. Manager picked up - had no idea what I wanted. I asked again. He said, they weren't' coming again, maybe next weekend, but don't count on it as they cancel often, so call first. We have dogs that need their shots there as you carry their vaccination records. This is ridiculous. Staff is not any where near as nice/helpful as the staff that opened this store. Disrespectful/uncaring staff members there now. It's really sad! We went to to Petco for the dogfood and will going forward, they were so nice and friendly and helpful. I wish your store would improve again. It was so handy, just being 5 minutes away. Now we have to travel across town to get our dogs food. read more
