Can my dogs come browse in the store with me? One is a pit bull mix and the other is a bullboxer. i can assure you they are well behaved and visit other stores around the KC MO area. Just asking because bully breeds are not always welcomed.

They are very dog friendly. I've seen some gorgeous pit bulls and pit bull mixes in the store on many occasions.

His groomer, Carolyn saw what happened & took off full speed running after him. He's a little Havenese, fast & scared. He was gone. Folks at PetSmart got in their cars searching. People came out of nowhere saying he went that way. He crossed Independence Ave., Chipman, and back towards 291. Five cars on 291 stopped-circled him with their cars & a big bearded pickup truck driver, Jessie (who has five dogs) talked him down to stop. He didn't have his collar on but he did have a PetSmart bandanna on from grooming. Brought back to PS covered in black sewer muck from his escapade (and all over Jessie). Carolyn gave him another bath & hand delivered to the car. Thank you PetSmart, Jessie, Jon (motorcycle guy who helped) & the fabulous folks of Lee's Summit for helping us bring this little guy home.

She was very welcoming I wish I would've gotten her name she was working a pallet by those cats. Very kind. but that mean lady was there too. Maybe someone should tell her If people wouldn't shop she wouldn't have a job.

Went to this Petland yesterday afternoon with my family to view some of the dogs, and one of their…read morefemale employees was giving us major attitude. Talking behind our backs with other employees and rolling her eyes at us. This employee made our time here a very awkward experience. Would not come back for this reason alone.

Updating at owners request, as "my exact response was posted as spam before" and "nothing in my…read morepost reflected their business." Well, I'm a real person, and my real experience was this: You walk in, and an employee practically thrusts a puppy into your arms. You notice that the puppy is listless and barely responds when you pet her, but assume she might be tired from being tossed from person to person all day. But then you notice that her eyes are runny, and her coat is oily and clumped. Seems odd, but you look into the puppy's eyes and want to take her home. She's cute, and you can tell that she's miserable living in a cage and being passed around all day. You want to rescue her. Then an employee comes by and asks you if you want the puppy. You find out that shes $6,000, which is when they mention their financing plan, including a warranty. If you don't pay the puppy off in 6 months, the interest rate is 30%. The employee sure puts a lot of emphasis on the warranty, and something doesn't seem right. The employee goes away to let you think, and you pull out your phone to do a Google search. That's when you come upon dozens of heartbreaking stories about Petland puppies. People who pay an exorbitant price for a puppy that dies within a month. The warranty is a sham, and leaves people paying 30% interest on a dead puppy. And all of the vet bills from trying to save the poor thing. Reluctantly, you say you won't be buying the puppy, and watch as she's put away. Then you walk back out to look at the wall of puppies, and find that most of them on that particular wall also seem exhausted and have the same runny eyes. You go home and Google early signs of distemper. Looks exactly like what you saw. You Google "Petland puppy distemper" and find that it's a common problem. Then you look at where their puppies come from. From petland You get a nice story on usda-accredited, responsible breeders. However, it's not that hard to get usda accreditation, even if you have multiple violations. Further, petland sources its puppies from puppy mill brokers. I'll let you find the rest. Take a look at the following brokers, which are major petland suppliers: the hunte corporation, perfect puppies, and Tracy's k & j pets. You might also find some interesting stories if you Google "petland former employee" Moral of the story? Don't give in to high-pressure sales and puppy dog eyes, and use the Googles. I'm glad I did.
