I had my dog Charlie groomed recently Wednesday 9/23 and super early at 7am. It was my dogs first time at a groomer so I was very nervous. Everyone at the groomers were friendly and very sweet. There was a minor error with the printer not printing but they were able to work around it and handle the situation professionally. Daniel helped me in the morning and was so nice even holding my dog and making small talk that made me feel comfortable and reassured me that my dog Charlie would be fine. I had the pleasure of having Cynthia groom my dog for me and she did a great job! She really went the extra mile with a cute fall bandana. His cut was even and I was happy to say I could see his eyes for the first time (charlie is a mini goldendoodle). I highly recommend attending this groomer facility. I can only speak for Cynthia having great skills because she worked on my dog but I have a feeling the other works will do great too. Thank you again! read more

The grooming salon has terrible employees. No customer service at all. They never have time to bathe & brush my dog even when I try for a week in advance. But they will have bath & haircut appintments open? I have a short haired pitbull boxer mix, no haircut needed. I will never waste my $ in the grooming salon again, I will find a small business to take my money; that's what I should have been doing all along. Especially since half the time I paid for the works package and never got the bandana or cologne, etc even though we pay for it. Sorry to rate 1 star since I do love the Cats In Need group associated with this location, but never again will I even step foot in the grooming salon. read more

so yah know what? i actually liked Petsmart grooming! SHOCKED?! i know! I was in a bind. My dog stays at my boyfriends house and he was going to be holding a one year olds birthday there with kids ranging from 1-10yrs there. So my princess puppies nails were wayyyy long, so they needed a clip and she needed a good brushing. So i went against all the bad reviews just cause it was close to my work. I go in just wanting the Touch-up. See i was scared to do the whole SHA BANG (bath and trim and brushing) cause at other grommers they had quoted me $50 and up cause she was a playful puppy and a husky. They fit me in on memorial day weekend (they said i could just basically walk in around 3) and I was super happy. with what i wanted it would be about $22! yay! not an arm and a leg! they take my happy pup back and start to brush her. She did pretty good so i ask if shes really dirty. The lady kinda says stuck up like "ya shes REALLY bad" so i say okay.. well can i fit a bath in? i mean shes doing so well! why not? I prepare for the price and its like $40 for everything!! i was so excited i added a nail painting too! bright pink if you must know! lol it took three hours and they held her until 7pm for me to get off work. I was SUPER happy and she looked happy too. very satisfied! read more

I only go here to get my dog groomed. So I cannot speak for the rest of the store & the staff. My only con with this place is that to get an appointment you need to call WAYYYY in advance. Sometimes you can get people on the line making the appointments that I swear are high. My dog is a really bad shedder & we get the "shedding treatment" done here for an extra $15 & I cannot believe the difference it has made. I'm a big big fan of this. It has saved me from allergy attacks & cut back on our dusting considerably. For this reason alone, I will keep coming back. The staff is very friendly & seem to treat the pets well. I also never notice my dog acting odd or has any cuts from the clippers. So I'm happy with this place. read more

I have been coming to this petsmart for years and today as I look at my dog and think 'man, she's smelly I need to take her in' there is only one person I can think of that I need to take care of her. Daniel. He has by far been one of the best groomers that I've had the pleasure of allowing to take care of my pooch. She loves him and you can tell just by how his face lights up that he loves her too. I know she is in good care when I take her to him and I know he will give her the utmost care. I bought 2 beautiful baby rats at this petsmart today. I have bought rats from others closer to where I live but none of them put bedding into the little travel box like this petsmart did! The employees were very helpful and they hung out with me and even helped me pick out my babies while I was having trouble choosing. The low stars that I have seen in reviews for this place were mainly for grooming. I can tell you that the customer service is not the same. It is by far the best and most loving people working here with the birds, reptiles, dogs, cats, and rodents! read more

I normally go to Petco.not anymore...much better selection here. I went in today and was helped by one of their associates from I believe she said Huntington Beach. I wish I could remember her name but she was so helpful..knowledgeable...sweet..and just plain pleasant. In my opinion she was exactly the kind of person you would want helping you. If I find her at the other location I will add another review. Kudos to Petsmart...I wish the Petco associates were even half as helpful as she was. read more

Dog grooming seems to be one of those industries where it's really challenging to find a reliable source. I had hopes that a national organization like PetSmart would be more organized and trustworthy than a one-groomer operation out of someone's garage but I have been wrong. The treatment my dog has gotten there has always been fine and I never felt concerned for his safety. However, twice I have had appointments cancelled on me with no offer to reschedule in a timely manner, despite this being a full time operation with multiple groomers. The second time they cancelled on me I did not find out until I was there with my dog. They said I was called but I was not, and the next available appointment was not for another week. Only after I left did I receive a notification from the app as well as a text that my appointment was cancelled. I suppose this is my cue to go back to supporting small businesses. read more

I went to get dog food and as I was coming up he was just standing there talking to another coworker about God knows what and when I came up he was totally just not happy to be there, I went to hand him my card not realizing that I needed to swipe it at the end of the counter and he just goes "swipe it there" and points and as I'm swiping he's yelling across the counter asking if he could finally take his break to make a call... We had just gottten a dog from the pound and I was SO excited to spoil him with a bath at Petsmart! I call to schedule an appointment, and my fiancé takes him since I had to work. He had forgotten the rabies certificate at home (totally his bad!), but the worker wouldn't be reasonable at all! He asked if he could run home and grab it and come back (we live down the street) and she refused to hold our spot. It was 5pm on a Wednesday I highly doubt that's peak time or they wouldn't be offering 25% off a wash. So he left with our dog and no service. I go back today to get my dog some treats and I just walk by the grooming area when I hear someone who I would expect is the manager on the phone with the employees in a demeaning tone saying "one of you needs to get back here right now it doesn't take two people to do the job" and then hangs up immediately! She then turns to the other employees working and says "that's how you get $hit done" I was so appalled! Petsmart is a family friendly store and the fact that employees are talking like that on the sales floor is embarrassing. If it was a manager no wonder the employees acted as they did the other day! read more

My friend and I went to the groomer to have our dogs groomed. Ana was very sweet and attentive with our dogs. We got the holiday package it was more than we expected but worth it. I come to this Petsmart all the time! The staff is super friendly, always available, and ready to help with whatever you need. Conveniently located by my market and bank, its my one place stop and shop! I love getting my pups groomed by JOSH. He is so sweet with them. My dogs used to be abused by so many other locations, but whenever they finish their grooming date with Josh, they never want to leave him! I have a husky and I asked the groomer to cut the hair behind my dog's legs. This did not happen. I would recommend Petco for grooming instead of petsmart, I know it's a little cheaper at petsmart but Petco has better quality grooming from what I've experienced. Very disappointed in the Grooming Department. Took my dog in for a basic bath which includes cutting the nails. We asked them beforehand to confirm that they indeed cut the nails and they assured us that they would. They called us an hour later and told us she was ready to go. We picked her up and they told us that they couldn't cut her nails. We told them that was the only reason we brought her in and asked if we could get a discount because we didn't want to pay for a $20 bath if we could have done the same thing at home for free. She ignored the request and told us we needed to pay up front with a cashier and after she would give us our dog back. After we paid the $20 for a regular bath (that somehow took them an hour and only takes me 10 minutes) , I went back into the grooming room to get my dog. She completely ignored me and I had to wait for another girl to give me my dog. Needless to say I will never be bringing my dog back here. Waste of my money and time. Do not bring your pets here. They were rude and not very bright. If they would have just apologized and gave us a discount we would have left and completely understood. But that didn't happen. read more

Came here yesterday to get a hamster and hamster supplies, so of course i had a lot of questions. Looking at cages the person helping me was not very helpful, the cage i wanted had a few dents and was prepared to buy a different one if it was escapable and he said no, sort of rudely. He didnt really seem to care to answer any of my questions. The next morning i woke up to her running underneath my oven, 20 mins before work and had a very hectic morning. I returned the defective cage even though it was used (which was nice). I tried to get some help asking which cages were better because i no longer trust the wire cages and they said none of the cages would work. I could get an aquarium though. I went to the front with my aquarium ready to purchase and the manager told me flat out that my hamster was going to die if i put her in an aquarium. Thouroughly confused and frustratef i had to return her in order for her to be in a more comfortable place not in the cardboard carrier so i could research more. Went to petco and they recommended an aquarium for me and received much better service, i then came back and got my honey bear back. Will not be returning to any petsmart locations. Leaving 2 stars because the lady who helped us get our hammie back was very sweet read more

ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS STORE AND EVEN BETTER THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE. Came in last night inquiring about fish. Was wanting to buy a beta for my work office, and then some GloFish for my personal office at home. Saw an associate and asked her some questions, cannot remember her name buy and boy was she wonderful. I couldn't have had any better help! What stood out most to me was how above and beyond she went to help me as a customer. One of her coworkers came up and asked how her break was, and she replied, "I havent taken one yet." I then said, "Oh go take your break I don't mind," and she kindly responded, "That's ok, im only here for 4 hours anyways." Couldn't have thought of a kinder and more personal customer service response. She was a wonderful person to come across. For all the STUPID questions I asked about fish she still was very patient and great with answering all my questions. She went as far as getting the items personally for me and telling me what I needed and what wasn't needed! Working in retail customer service is very important to me and when I come across a wonderful person I just have to appreciate that kind of kind nature. Even the cashier who checked me out was wonderful! Thanks ladies! (: I then woke up this morning, to find my beta is happy and swimming around in his new tank awaiting to be brought to my work office, but unfortunately my GloFish did not survive. I did everything I was suppose to do (precondition, clean everything, get the pump going...etc..). I then called to see if I can get a refund, and the woman on the phone was very apologetic and super kind about the situation. She personally said, "I am sorry to hear that." I then find out it was the same person who had helped me last night. Not only is she super helpful and kind in person, but also over the phone. What GREAT SERVICE! Thank you! The grooming salon has people working there that are incompetent and unaccommodating. My dog needed a haircut and her nails trimmed. I scheduled an appointment. I took my dog in and some kid named Danny was going to groom her. Danny gave me a call shortly after I left stating he cannot finish my dogs haircut because she wouldn't standstill and she was trying to bite him. He said I could come another day preferably during the week. No I can't Danny!! After Danny being to scared to finish my dogs haircut and unable to trim her nails, I was furious. Renee, who has groomed my dog before was working. She was unable to accommodate my dog even though I was already there for an appointment and my dog was missing hair due to Danny unable to finish his job. Thanks Renee for being so accommodating. I'm not disappointed I'm furious!! I cannot believe this happened. I would not recommend bringing your dog here. Horrible customer service. Poor leadership. read more

Love this store because of the terrific customer care. Katie was so nice in helping me with an exchange, and in helping us locate the things we needed for our pet turtle. She has certainly raised the bar at this store, and I will continue to shop here for my pet items as a result. Also, I adopted 2 rescue kittens from their Pets in Need Program, and they have turned out to be the best kitties! When I worked near by I would bing my Husky Mishka in to get groomed by Daniel and he was always vet sweet to me and my beautiful girl. She always looked wonderful. The staff there is very sweet and the trainer Luis was very helpful every time I had any questions about my dog! The Banfield staff was also amazing at all well. Well, I usually come here to buy products for my cute little pommie. My bf and I came here while it was about to close and this lady at the cashier hollers out we'll be closing in 5 minutes. Yes, we know! We needed to get something really quick which we did. Went to this cashier that hollered out to us named, Teri. She was really rude! We did NOTHING to her for her to be acting rudely to us! We were all nothing but smiles! I was looking at the dog tags and there was this little picture of a paw in front of the tag. I asked my bf, so is it engraved in the back? My bf asked this old hag and she said in a rude tone, "yes it goes on the back, it can't go in the front... you wouldn't want to put it in the front now would you?" and I answered, "very funny". Ugh! She was totally patronizing us! What kind of customer service is that PETSMART!? I can't believe you guys hire such employees! The rest of the other people there were nice but this chick has some issues with wanting to go home. How about I send you home permanently by getting you fired! read more

i've shopped here many times for my cat's various needs and plan to continue doing so in the future. each time i've been i've been offered friendly, helpful service. one time i came in for pet food. the kind i usually get was on sale but there were none in stock. i waved down a random person to ask if there were more in the back. turns out it was the manager. she told me there were no more in the back but she'd be happy to offer me two of the smaller bags (which added up to the same amount as the bags that were on sale) for the same sales price. they're also the only pet store that i know that actually sells a litter pan appropriate for litter pallets. the kind that has a grid in the middle so the pallet dust can be shifted down. everyone else just sells the pallets but not the litter box you need. today the service i got was even more exceptional. i had hurt my back slightly (when doing kettle bell swings, give it 100% focus or else there might be an opps you'll regret) and was reluctant to stretch up slightly to reach for a light box or walk up to the front to ask for help. i called the store and told them i was standing in the aisle and to please send someone to help me. the guy who answered my call came promptly (15secs) and was friendly. he got me the box i needed and asked if i needed anything else. i said since he was here, if he could also grab me a bag of feline pine (a heavy bag of pallets around 20lbs). he placed it into my cart and asked if there was anything else. i thanked him and replied no. he walked away, took 5 steps and came back to ask me if i'd also like help out. it was raining so hard you can literally hear it pounding on the roof. "really?" i asked. "but it's pouring outside! do you have a windbreaker for the rain?" "no but it's ok" i saw no regret on his face upon hearing the word rain, no dismay that he would be drenched, just friendly willingness to help. (we ended up sharing my umbrella to and back so he didn't get drenched but we both got pretty damp. he always also surprised and grateful when i called him back after he loaded my car and left without me into the downpour, not expecting me to walk him back) as for the grooming dept. i've never had an animal serviced here but i always like to walk by. i've never seen any distressed animals while they were being groomed and it seemed like the people i watched were doing a competent job but that's just what i get from a few mins of watching every couple of months. read more

Don't take your dog here to get groomed. Appointment was at 8am and they didn't start until 9am. My dog has been here for over 5 hours. The girl who was grooming my dog wasn't focused, she would let my dog wait on the ground while she was talking to her coworkers. read more

Extremely pleased with Petsmart and this location in particlar! Not only is it close to my house, but ive received excellent service from every employees in every department from Banfield, to the groomer, to the cashiers. They always have cute merchandise relevant to the upcoming holidays, the store is always clean and I always find what I need. I wish i could remember names of individual staff members that have gone above and beyond for me but I dont know them :( However I know one guy that was a trainer and he ended up transferring to another location about a month ago was very caring when it came to health issues with my new puppy and helped me pick the right play pen for me. He saw that my hands were full between carrying my new pup, my phone, keys, purse and the box was very large and heavy so he helped me carry it to my car and put it in the trunk! I would definitely recommend purchasing the puppy care booklet, as it has great deals and more than pays for itself if you use petsmart as your regular pet care location! read more

Have been bringing my dog here a few years and been satisfied. They had a special awhile ago and had the academy people doing the grooming for ten dollars off. The cut was horrible but I figured it was practice for them. I took him in yesterday and he looked horrible. I told them I wanted him the same length all over with the top a little longer and didn't want his ears poofy. He came out shaved with a big head and all the hair cut off his ears. I let it go, but noticed he was acting funny all the way home. Just laid on the floor in my car with his head down, usually he's so excited to go home and happy and hanging his head out the window. When I went to pick him up he yelped as if something hurt. He's been licking his arm quite a bit as well. Also just noticed a raw gouge on his face that's obviously sore looks like the razor scraped him. Will never go back there again. read more
